Prime just delivered my newest Mark James book.
Wrestling Record Book: Detroit 1964-1980
I was quickly reminded how much I loved The Mongolian Stomper as a youngster.
I would LOVE to have him in the game, am I alone on this?
Started reading and kept seeing a wrestler called THE STUDENT and thought who is this guy? So Looked him up and was surprised to see who popped up... GEORGE 'THE ANIMAL' STEELE.
Detroit in the 60s and 70s was a HOT BED of professional Wrestling.

I just read that The Mongolian Stomper wrestled in Memphis from 1975-1985 and held many titles there. I would MTFO if he is in the upcoming Memphis themed set.

12/25/1980 The Mongolian Stomper beat Jack Brisco for the GA National hwt. championship, yes that JACK BROSCO!
That's when I remember him from, plus his run in Georgia in 1977.

He, Jos LeDuc, and Buddy Landell would be the only new cards I would need. The rest could all be color revisions, and I would be the first person to make a pre-order.

Love to see the Mongolian Stomper. I think he had a couple solid runs in a few places and had an interesting look. Definitely love to see him and Jos LeDuc as a couple of great "monsters" for the Memphis set.

I have heard Bret Hart call Archie Gouldie the greatest Canadian wrestler of all time.
Of course, that was before Tyson Smith. 🙄

Gene Kiniski will always hold that title. Stomper though would be awesome.

I have heard Bret Hart call Archie Gouldie the greatest Canadian wrestler of all time. It's hard to find a better endorsement than the 'Best there ever was.'
