7/22/97 We start off the show with the Spike in the ring. Spike started by addressing his attack on Iron Mane. He’s tired of being overlooked by the GWF. He wants to be back on the PPV each month. He’s angry and what better way to express that anger then by taking out his aggression on Iron Mane. Commissioner Carter interrupted and he said he isn’t going to grant Spike’s wish, but he will allow him to compete on the pre-show at Summerslam. Iron Mane vs. Spike Summerslam Pre-show!
Pegasus d. Defender of the Realm(1) via DQ; outside brawl; Defender can’t entirely escape his past as he let out a maniacal laugh and put Pegasus through the ringside barricade. After the bell rang he gained his composure and checked on Pegasus, but Pegasus shoved him away. Star Warrior(2) d. Vyper(1) via DQ; Vyper grabbed the Galaxian title from the timekeeper’s area and whacked Star Warrior in the head with it.
Bounty Hunter has a sit down interview. He talks about no relationship with Reynard B. Guile, being the “leader” of Department of Power, and facing off with Thantos at Summerslam. He said he’s going to bring home the Interplanetary title and he loves the thrill of the chase!
Demons of Hydra(Demon(1)) d. Royal Court(Killer Queen(3)) via Ninja kick; additional tokens Hydra(1)
The Renegades were in the ring and Cannibal said how great it was going to be to dismantle Wolf and the Animal Pack. This caused Wolf, Ram, and Badger to come out on to the ramp. Wolf said he didn’t care why the Renegades wanted to do battle, but he knew they’d regret that decision, but they accept their six man match at Summerslam!
Dragonmaster d. Splatter(2) via DQ; DragonMaster made his return to the ring from his broken neck. He looked sharp like he hadn’t missed a beat. Splatter decided to grab Arsenal and give him a welcome back present. He beat DragonMaster mercilessly. After the match medics came out to the ring. They helped up DragonMaster and he was able to walk out on his own to a standing ovation from the crowd.

7/29/97 To keep things civil we start the show with the Renegades in the ring and Wolf/Animal Pack on the Titantron. Johnny Rocket was our mediator and he took time asking the two factions questions about their upcoming match.
Dreadnaught(1) d. US Patriot(2) via GUIDED MISSLE
Wildcat(1) d. Black Hole Bart(3) via slingshot suplex
Morpheus was hyping up Superiority Complex backstage. He said they’re the future of tag team wrestling in GWF.
Assassin Empire(Whiplash) d. Titan Power(Billy Jo Boxer(2) via THUMBSCREW
Sit down interview Wolf says he doesn’t seem himself as the Animen leader. He’s just doing what he thinks right and right now his mission is to help Animal Pack take down the vile that is the Renegades.
Janus(4) d. Thantos(3) via GORDIAN KNOT; after the match Star Warrior came down to check on Thantos and Janus spun him around and made a gesture that he’s coming for the title. At this moment Chaos came out to the ramp to watch the interaction and make his presence felt. Janus looked as shocked as anyone to see him out there. Morpheus came out and grabbed Chaos by the shoulder and Chaos followed him to the back.

8/5/97 Cannibal d. Stalker via THROAT SLIT
3 vs. 3 Spike and Gladiators d. Raven and New Order when Brute p. Dreggs(3) via BRUTE FORCE; additional tokens Mace(1), Massacre(1)
Spike was on the mic after the match and he told New Order they had no shot at defeating the Gladiators at Summerslam. He was interrupted by Iron Mane who came out to the ramp. He said it’s too bad Spike won’t get to see the match between the Glads and New Order. Iron Mane plans on putting Spike out of commission on the preshow. Spike replied it sounds like head bangers ball and I’m ready to rock!
Death’s Head(2) d. Terak via FUNERAL MARCH
We see King Lear and the King’s Court in the locker room. King Lear is fired up and he’s berating Defender of the Realm. He tells him he’s come so far, but he can’t revert back to the Jester. He was so close to becoming Interplanetary champ and he doesn’t want to see that momentum stop. Then he addressed Killer Queen “my old parter”, I was counting on you leading my son to glory and gold. Yet you’re an afterthought as the Gladiators walk around as champs. We all need to step up so the King can reign again!
Animal Pack(Battering Ram) d. Signs of the Zodiac(Gemini(2)) via DQ when Domino held on to Ram’s legs as Mesmer jumped off the turnbuckle and put Ram through the announce table.

8/12/97 Ursa Major was backstage and talked about his uphill battle. From being doubted, to not being a Titan, but being trained by Jim. He’s here for the long haul and there’s plenty left to come!
Mutant(2) d. Wildcat(2) via TEMPLE GRINDER
Black Hole Bart(1) d. Iron Mane via DQ; Spike came out to the ramp and Iron Mane was staring him down when he laid Bart on to a set of chairs and did a pounce on to him. The ref instantly called for the bell.
Sit down interview with Wolf who described his brief past as a Gladiator to his outsider view and friendship with Proteus. He’s happy to team with other AniMen at Summerslam, but don’t think for one second he’s lost his edge. HOWL!
(Non-title)Dreadnaught d. Thantos via GUIDED MISSLE; after the match Dreadnaught celebrated and grabbed a mic. He said if Thantos is fortunate enough to survive Bounty Hunter at Summerslam, he was coming for the Interplanetary title next.
Raven vs. Vyper; Bishop Hell jumped Raven on the way to the ring. He threw Raven off the stage into an electrical area. Sparks flew everywhere and Raven was deemed unable to compete. Vyper was laughing in the ring when Commissioner Carter said he had someone who agreed to fill in. Our came Alpha Force from the back.

Summerslam 8/18/97 Pre-Show Spike(1) d. Iron Mane(3) via DQ; this match was back and forth. Ultimately they ended up outside of the ring and Iron Mane did a Final Pounce through the ringside barricade which caused a DQ.
Main Show (Tag Title) New Order(Mace(4)) d. Gladiators(Massacre(1)) via Superplex; additional tokens Brute(1), Dreggs(3); evenly matched contest which ended all of a sudden after a Superplex kept Massacre down.
Wolf and Animal Pack d. Cannibal, Death’s Head, and Mutant(2) when Incredible Badger d. Mutant via BURROW BLAST; the AniMen did a good job cutting off the ring and Mutant was the recipient of a squash match. Cannibal and Death’s Head were none too happy with their teammate who failed to hold up his end of the team.
(Interplanetary Title) Thantos(1) d. Bounty Hunter(4) via MASTERLOCK
Matador of M83 d. Defender of the Realm(2) via BULLWHIP
Alpha Force d. Doomsday Creature(2) via Running Star Blast
No Holds Barred Bishop Hell d. Raven(1) via HELLFIRE
(Galaxian Title w/ guest referees Omega and Morpheus) Star Warrior(1) d. Janus(1) via Running Star Blast *After the match Morpheus and Omega were at blows, security separated them and Commissioner Carter came out. Morpheus was yelling that it was a fast count and Carter said the match was over, then Chaos appeared behind Carter. Carter turned around with a look of terror on his face. Chaos grabbed the mic from him and said you’re right, the match is over, but my title match is just beginning. Carter just nodded in terror as Star Warrior gathered his strength to get ready in the ring. Another official came out as security still held Omega and Morpheus.
(Galaxian Title Match)Chaos(1) d. Star Warrior(6) via BOW OF DEFEAT; This match was fast paced back and forth. Star Warrior actually hit a Cosmic Big Bang, but didn’t have the height he wanted and only got a 2 count. Chaos was relentless and locked in Bow of Defeat on a bleeding Star Warrior for the win!

8/19/2097 Commissioner Carter is greeted by a mixed reaction as he comes out to the ring. He calls out Brute and Massacre who enter the ring. Then he calls out Star Warrior. Carter tells them they should all be proud of their accomplishments, the Gladiators have the most tag title reigns all-time and Star Warrior has the most Galaxian Title reigns all-time. He knows they want a chance to get their titles back, but that’s not going to happen. He proposes being a part of something even bigger than titles. He wants these legends to be remembered for even greater things and at Fall Brawl he proposes the Gladiators with Spike and Vengeance face off against the Champions of the Galaxy; Star Warrior, Alpha Force, and the Greek Gods in a Wargames match! The two sides stare each other down as we cut away.
Signs of the Zodiac(Gemini(2)) d. Titan Power(Billy Jo Boxer(6)) via SIGN OF THE ZODIAC; additional tokens Mesmer(2), Lord Nexus(1)
Holocaust d. Mutant via SHOCKWAVE
Thantos came out to the ring and discussed his successful title defense at Summerslam and how he didn’t have to surprise his opponent who had already previously wrestled a match to win the title. This prompted Chaos to come out. He said if Thantos doubted his power he could find out first hand right now!
Chaos d. Thantos(2) via BOW OF DEFEAT
Janus came out to the ring and discussed his title opportunity loss at Summerslam. He was quickly interrupted by Dragonmaster who said he’s more aware of disappointment than most. He said Janus should get used to being disappointed, because he’s about ready to be again.
Dragonmaster d. Janus(1) via DRAGON DROP; after the match the commentary team questioned if Janus was in his own head now. What’s next for Janus?

8/26/2097 Iron Mane d. Death’s Head via FINAL POUNCE
Matador of M83 d. Wildcat(1) via BULLWHIP
Code of Honor(Justice(3)) d. Mercenaries(Soldier of Fortune(1)) via cross body reversal
Animal Pack(Incredible Badger(2)) d. Assassin Empire(Darkos) via dropkick off turnbuckle; additional tokens Whiplash(1) After the match Demons of Hydra came out to the ramp. They stormed the ring but stopped short as Whiplash and Darkos attacked the Animal Pack from behind. As they were putting on a beating the Demons started climbing in the ring, but they were stopped by Air Titan who rushed down to make the save. Air Titan tossed Demons of Hydra aside and Assassin Empire scattered out of the ring. The Masked Assassins were shown celebrating as they headed up the ramp as Air Titan was tending to the Animal Pack as the show ended.

9/2/2097 Spike was in the ring and he talked about the upcoming War Games match and the power the Gladiators have and how Aethran dominance is more than just titles. Wolf appeared on the Titantron and said he disagrees, the power lies in the gold and at Fall Brawl he’ll be facing Chaos for the Galaxian title and all the power that comes with it. At that moment Pegasus appeared on the ramp and addressed everyone discussing power but not mentioning Pegasus the Powerful! Next week we’ll see where the power lies leading in to Fall Brawl as Spike vs. Pegasus vs. Wolf will happen in a triple threat match!
