Tickets are on sale now for the 2022 George Tragos/Lou Thesz Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame weekend, to be held July 21-23 in Waterloo, IA.
Third time is a charm! Trish Stratus will be in Waterloo July 21st - 23rd, 2022 to accept the Lou Thesz Award. In 2020 and 2021, Trish was unable to make it from her home in Canada due to the border closing caused by Covid-19. We are elated she will be joining us.
In 2021 we created the Gordon Solie Award to honor excellence in professional wrestling broadcasting in all of its forms. The first recipient of this award will be Jim “JR” Ross. For nearly 40 years, Ross has lent his voice to professional wrestling broadcasts. He is considered the greatest professional wrestling commentator of our time. Jim Ross will be on hand in Waterloo to accept the 2022 Gordon Solie Award.
The first member of the 2022 Hall of Fame Class is Mike Rotunda. Mike Rotunda wrestled at Syracuse University and was an NCAA qualifier. He placed sixth in the AAU nationals at heavyweight in 1981. Mike went on to have a long professional career, incorporating his amateur skills into his matches and moves. He captured the NWA World Television title, Florida title, and Southern Heavyweight title. Mike also captured several more titles including holding the WWF World Tag Team titles on five occasions. Three of those reigns were with HOF member Ted DiBiase.
We will have many more announcements and additional guests that will be in attendance in the coming months. All-Access passes include two dinners and three days of activities centered around professional wrestling. These include numerous round table discussions, an Impact Pro Wrestling show, trivia, and the awards banquet. You can purchase your pass now by clicking on the link below.
