THEY COME FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD IN HOPES OF CATCHING THE EYE OF A BIG TIME PROMOTER. ALL THEY WANT IS THAT ONE OPPORTUNITY.
ALL THEY NEED IS THAT ONE OPPORTUNITY.
THIS IS THEIR CHANCE.THIS IS
(The show opens with Remember The Name by Ft. Minor blaring over the PA system and the cameras scanning around the arena, capturing the raucous crowd before settling on Ian Riccaboni, Amber Gertner and Midnight Guthrie in the center of the ring.)
Riccaboni: Hey there Filsinger Independent Wrestling fans and welcome to the debut episode of Indymania. I’m your host Ian Riccaboni, along with Amber Gertner and Midnight Guthrie, and we are all set to bring you the best indy wrestling has to offer.
Gertner: I am so excited to be here. We have a great show tonight. A lot of fan favorites are on the card.
Guthrie: Saraya Knight will be in action, as will Bussy – Allie Kat & Effy. We also have the first appearance of Ricochet in an FIW ring, as he takes on Wheeler Yuta in singles competition.
Riccaboni: In addition to that, Nevaeh & Jake Crist have a grievance with what happened in the intergender title tournament, which we’ll talk about a little later on, and in our main event the destructive War Machine take on those wild brothers from Sandy Fork, Delaware – The Briscoes. Stick around because all of that great action and more is on the way.
Kenny Omega vs. Daniel Garcia(Referee: Steve Biley)
Omega completely dominated this contest and beat Garcia with a BROOM ATTACK.Riccaboni: Amber Gertner is standing by in the back, but before we go to her, let me show you some footage from the Queen of Indies Title Tournament.
(Post-match: As Kay celebrated her victory, Blanchard attacked from behind. Blanchard delivered the DOUBLE KNEE FACEBREAKER multiple times, possibly breaking Kay’s nose. Kay was helped to the back while Blanchard argued with the disapproving crowd.)
(Amber Gertner is backstage with Tessa Blanchard.)
Gertner: I’m here with Tessa Blanchard and Tessa, you feel like you deserve a shot at the Queen of Indies Title. Why is that?
Blanchard: I think it’s obvious, don’t you? I took Allysin Kay out of the title tournament. I should’ve taken her place and if I had, I would’ve won the title.
Gertner: But, Allysin beat you.
Blanchard: You think I care? She probably won’t even return to a wrestling ring since I messed up her face. I should’ve known better to come to this crappy promotion. I wanted some real competition and so far, this isn’t it. You know what? I’m outta here.
Riccaboni: Fans I’m pleased to announce, on our next episode of Indymania, Tessa Blanchard will get some competition in a big way.
Gertner: It’s signed sealed and delivered … Tessa Blanchard will face Allysin Kay’s Midwest Militia stablemate, Jessicka Havok.
Riccaboni: And that’s not all. If Tessa beats Havok, Tessa will get a Queen of Indies title match.
Guthrie: That’s going to be a huge task for sure, but I’m sure Tessa Blanchard will be up to it.
Riccaboni: Let’s go back to the ring as Saraya Knight and Su Yung are ready for our next match.
Saraya Knight vs. Su Yung(Referee: Todd Sinclair)
Knight dominated the early going, but Yung managed to battle back. After several minutes Knight was able to counter Yung’s offensive and toss her out of the ring. Knight followed her and delivered a sit out powerbomb on the concrete floor. Yung was not able to recover and was counted out.Riccaboni: Su Yung is very slow to get up. She may need some help at ringside.
Gertner: Su definitely gave as good as she got in this one, but when your head bounces off the concrete like that, it’s gonna make you a little loopy.
Riccaboni: Before we get to our next match, let me show you some footage of how CW Anderson and Ricky Landell made their presence known during the King of Indies title tournament.
(
Corino dumped Pearce over the guard rail, where he was attacked by Ricky Landell and CW Anderson. Corino tried to distract Sinclair, but didn’t do a great job and Sinclair called for the disqualification.)
reDRagon (Bobby Fish & Kyle O’Reilly) vs. CW Anderson & Ricky Landell w/Steve Corino(Referee: Bryce Remsberg)
This match started out quickly as O’Reilly gained the upper hand on Landell, but missed a turnbuckle charge and tumbled out of the ring. Landell followed and went after O’Reilly with a chair that Corino handed to him. Remsberg attempted to stop Landell, but Landell shoved Remsberg aside, leading to Remsberg disqualifying Landell.Gertner: Corino, Anderson and Landell have done nothing but cause trouble here in Filsinger Independent Wrestling.
Guthrie: No doubt, making quite a few enemies along the way.
Veda Scott & Mike Bailey vs. BUSSY (Allie Kat & Effy)(Referee: Steve Biley)
Both teams battled evenly throughout the match, each making multiple tags. Kat delivered the PUSSYCAT PILEDRIVER to Scott and despite a seemingly slow count by Biley, made the pin.Riccaboni: Midnight Guthrie is standing by in the back, but before we go to him check out this footage from the FIW Intergender Tag Team Title Tournament
(
Eventually Cherry trapped Neveah in ANGER AS BEAUTY and after a quick check, Biley called for the submission victory.)
(Midnight Guthrie is backstage with Nevaeh & Jake Crist)
Guthrie: I’m here with the husband wife team of Nevaeh and Jake Crist. Now you two feel like you were wronged in the intergender tag team tournament.
Crist: You better believe we were. Nevaeh … the love of my life … in no way shape or form submitted during our match.
Navaeh: I don’t know what that poor excuse for an unbiased referee Biley saw or heard, but it wasn’t me quitting.
Guthrie: Challenging a man’s integrity, especially a FIW referee, is a pretty bold move. What would you like to see done about it?
Crist: We want a match. We want a rematch with Pepper Parks and Cherry Bomb to show Nevaeh didn’t submit and we are the better team.
Naveah: And we want our match tonight.
Riccaboni: I am happy to say ask and you shall receive. Mr. and Mrs. Crist will have their match here tonight.
Guthrie: I really don’t know what they hope to prove. Pepper Parks and Cherry Bomb are clearly the better husband and wife tandem.
Gertner: I don’t know about that. I went back and watched the tape. I never heard or saw Nevaeh submit.
Guthrie: That’s obviously your opinion and you’re entitled to it, but I’m more apt to trust the man wearing the striped shirt in the ring.
Ricochet vs. Wheeler Yuta(Referee: Todd Sinclair)
This up tempo match was over pretty quick. Both men battled for the advantage, but Ricochet gained it first and put Yuta away with CHOCOLATE RAIN.Midwest Militia (Sassy Stephie & Jessicka Havok) vs. Rejected (Christina Von Eerie & Hudson Envy)(Referee: Bryce Remsberg)
After several minutes of a back and forth battle, Havok ended up outside the ring with Hudson. As Havok was stalking Hudson at ringside, Tesssa Blanchard made her way from the back. Havok picked up a chair as Blanchard came at her. The two women argued briefly before Havok attempted to hit Blanchard with the chair. Unfortunately, Blanchard ducked and Havok inadvertently blasted Hudson with the chair instead. All Remsberg saw was Havok hitting Hudson and called for the disqualification.Nevaeh & Jake Crist vs. Cherry Bomb & Pepper Parks(Referee: Steve Biley)
Crist and Parks started out the match and battled back and forth. Parks hit Crist with VARSITY BLUES and one seemingly quick three count later, the match was over. (Post-match: Crist and Nevaeh complained, but once again Biley didn’t want to listen.)
Riccaboni: It looks as if Jake Crist and Nevaeh still aren’t able to get a fair shake.
Gertner: I swear Biley favors certain wrestlers and gives them special treatment.
Guthrie: I don’t know what either of you are talking about. Biley counted Jake Crist’s shoulders one, two, three.
(Gertner can be seen rolling her eyes.)
Riccaboni: All that aside, it’s time for our main event and it’s going to be a good one.
War Machine (Hanson & Raymond Rowe) vs. Jay & Mark Briscoe(Referee: Todd Sinclair)
Neither team can wait to get the match started, and as ring announcer Bobby Cruise is announcing both teams, the shouting by both teams turns to forearm shivers and the match is on. As the brawl continued, Rowe was all over Mark, gaining a near fall with a T-Bone Suplex. Rowe followed up with a stalling suplex then War Machine hit delivered WAR MACHINE. Rowe went for the pin, but Jay broke it up. War Machine wasn’t fazed and delivered WAR MACHINE two more times, ultimately gaining the victory.Gertner: War Machine didn’t come here to play.
Riccaboni: They certainly did not. The Briscoes didn’t take a step back, but War Machine proved to be on another level here tonight.
Guthrie: War Machine definitely took The Briscoes down a peg. It couldn’t have happened to a better couple of guys.
Riccaboni: Both teams are solid competitors and I look forward to when they match up again. We’re out of time for this episode. I hope everyone enjoyed and we’ll catch ya next time.
