Card # 15 From Convention Hall, Philadelphia PA
Maurice Tillet vs Fritz Von Goering - The French Angel comes to Philadelphia to seek vengeance from the Teutonic Fritz Von Goering. Vengeance would be had. Von Goering would put up a game effort, but never seriously threatened the outcome. Tillet would eventually prevail via a crushing bearhug. TILLET WINS BY SUBMISSION
Roy Heffernan vs Gorgeous George - Red Berry escorts Heffernan to the ring, then, there's a commotion, as Gorgeous George is joined by none other than Bob Hope. Roy Heffernan would take the advantage in the contest and pin George. Bob Hope leaped into the ring, and struck Heffernan in the lower back with a nine iron. The crowd was shocked, the ref shoved Hope, and called the match for Heffernan. HEFFERNAN WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
Chief Don Eagle vs Lord James Blears - Don Eagle takes to the ring against Lord James Blears in an interesting matchup. Eagle takes the early initiative, but is unable to deal much of an offensive, while Blears eventually slows and wears down the Chief. Blears then secured the upset with his Oxford Leg Strangle. BLEARS WINS BY SUBMISSION
Buddy Rogers vs Johnny Valentine - Two pretty blonde underachievers. Something's gotta give. Turns out, that would be Rogers' composure. Valentine had taken the early momentum in the match, possibly with the aid of a couple shady shots. After Rogers scrambled back with a sudden flurry, Valentine bailed out of the ring. Rogers, aggravated from earlier, shoved the ref out of his way to give chase. The ref made the call immediately. VALENTINE WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
Fenton & Hart vs Black Shadow & Blue Demon - Team Canada has a bad habit of competing as two individuals rather than a smooth working team. Tonight was no different, as Stu Hart held court while Rod Fenton watched. In short time, Hart had the Blue Demon on the mat to end a strange match. HART PINS DEOMON
Verne Gagne vs Lou Thesz - Two of the GWA's top contenders meet in a top shelf Main Event. Thesz and Gagne likely have a Title match in the balance tonight. The match would not live up to the hype, as Lou Thesz gave a sluggish, slow performance we haven't seen from Lou in some time. Gagne's agility thwarted Thesz at every opportunity, frustrating Lou visibly. Verne's Gagne Sleeper put a merciful end to the contest. GAGNE WINS BY SUBMISSION

Card # 16 From Turner's Arena, Washington, DC
Al Costello vs Angelo Poffo - The Outback Raiders would both be on hand for this match between Costello and Angelo Poffo, but no hijinks would be necessary. Costello controlled the action through most of the match, making it official with a running body block. COSTELLO PINS POFFO.
The Blue Demon vs The Sheik - The Sheik's bloody rampage against the GWA roster would continue against The Blue Demon. The Sheik would break out his infamous spike to blunt an early charge by the Demon, tearing at the Luchador's mask and sending him sprawling out of the ring to adjust. The Sheik would follow, maintaining his bloody attack, only to be disqualified for his efforts. DEMON WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
Freddie Blassie vs Chief Don Eagle - The Classy One would face a determined challenge from the Mohawk warrior, Chief Don Eagle. The Chief dominated the action, putting on an impressive display. Suddenly, from his knees, Blassie managed to clamp on an abdominal claw that Eagle was unable to escape from. After an intense struggle, Eagle was forced to concede. BLASSIE WINS BY SUBMISSION
Maurice Tillet vs Killer Kowalski - The Killer delivered a statement to the rest of the GWA in this dismantling of the French Angel. Tillet proved unable to produce anything of an offensive. Tillet managed to finish the match at the center of the ring with his claw grip. KOWALSKI WINS BY SUBMISSION Danny McShain vs Buddy Rogers - Coming off of his near-miss against Nagurski, McShain faces Buddy Rogers. The match would prove to be an entertaining back and forth contest until Rogers executed a painful atomic drop. McShain kicked out, only to get set up for a match-ending pile driver. ROGERS PINS MCSHAIN
El Santo vs Gorgeous George - Tonight's main event pits Gorgeous George and his manager, Bob Hope against former champion El Santo. The Mexican would take the early advantage, only to have Hope distract the referee to thwart an attempted pin. The ref barred hope from the arena floor, as George scrambled for freedom. George would rally, and the match would continue back and forth. Both wrestlers appeared to be tiring, when George escaped to the outside, only to have Santo pounce as George crawled back in, and locked him up with La De A Caballo. George was done. SANTO WINS BY SUBMISSION.

Card #17 From Butler Fieldhouse, Indianapolis, Indiana
The Black Shadow vs Yukon Eric - A classic matchup of power versus agility, the Luchador Shadow versus the mountain man. This time out, Eric's brawn dealt out too much damage for the Shadow to keep moving. A Kodiak Krunch finished off the contest. ERIC PINS SHADOW
Jim Londos vs Stu Hart - The veteran grappler Jim Londos took to the ring against young tough Stu Hart. The young Cannuck would hold his own, but eventually, the savvy vet found his opportunity, and sprang, executing an impressive headlock throw pinning combination to score the win. LONDOS PINS HART
The Crusher vs Rod Fenton - Two violent brawlers would meet to give the fans what they'd expect, a vicious street fight in the ring. The veteran Rod Fenton was on his game tonight, exhibiting enough grappling skill that The Crusher couldn't match, scoring the pinfall after connecting on a series of dropkicks. FENTON PINS CRUSHER
Billy Varga vs Lou Thesz - Coming off of a disapointing main event performance, Lou Thesz let it be known that he's still a major player in the GWA. Billy Varga drew the unenviable task of providing the medium for Thesz message to the world. THESZ PINS VARGA
Fritz Von Goering vs Gory Guerrero - The mercurial Guerrero was in top form for tonight's matchup with Fritz Von Goering. When Von Goering escaped the ring, Guerrero followed, and the assault continued. Guerrero returned to the ring in time to claim the victory by countout, as Von Goering struggled to the back. GUERRERO WINS BY COUNTOUT
Verne Gagne vs Bronko Nagurski - GWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT - Best of 3 Falls - The young phenom, Verne Gagne has made a big name for himself in a short time. His statement win over Lou Thesz set him up for a championship collision with Bronko Nagurski. The Champ would prove to be up to the challenge. The first fall would be a tightly contested struggle. Nagurski would eventually escape the ring to gather himself. Gagne, eager to keep the pressure on, shoved the ref out of the way to chase Nagurski. The ref was not about to stand for that, and called for the bell. The incident got to Gagne, who was not the same force in the second fall. Nagurski would crush Gagne with a powerslam for a two count, and immediately wrap Gagne up in a small package to secure the three count. NAGURSKI WINS IN TWO STRAIGHT FALLS

Card #18 From The Montreal Forum, Montreal, QC, Canada
Johnny Valentine vs Red Berry - Pretty Boy Valentine starts this card off against the shifty Red Berry. This time out, Berry appeared a step behind from the bell, and had no answers for anything Valentine offered. Johnny finished off his foe with a sleeper hold, leaving Red prone in the middle of the ring. VALENTINE WINS BY SUBMISSION
Don Leo Jonathan vs Roy Heffernan - The up and down performance of Don Leo Jonathan was up tonight, as he victimized the Aussie, Roy Heffernan. Not even Heffernan's teammate could same him, as Jonathan laid out Costello with a clothesline as he bounded into the ring to help out. Jonathan then finished off Heffernan with his Mormon Swing, and scored the pin. JONATHAN PINS HEFFERNAN
Antonino Rocca vs Lord James Blears - Just when we thought we had him figured out, Lord James Blears is looking like a legitimate threat of late. Tonight's example would be at the expense of Antonino Rocca. The Agrentine provided bluster and athleticism, but could not match Blears' grappling skill. Blears capped off the match with a textbook crossleg surfboard. BLEARS PINS ROCCA
Stu Hart vs Angelo Poffo - Canada tough meets Chicago tough, as Stu Hart squares off against Angelo Poffo. The contest would swing back and forth for some time until Poffo rolled out of a pin attempt, only to have Hart clinch him up in a Sugar Hold for the pin. HART PINS POFFO
Freddie Blassie vs Jim Londos - Veteran grappler Jim Londos would meet young scrapper Freddie Blassie in our next match. Both wrestlers would go on the offensive, only to be thwarted without a pin attempt. Eventually, the frustration got the best of Blassie, who sank his teeth into Londos' deltoid to try to put the shoulder to the mat. The ref was not impressed. LONDOS WINS BY DQ
Danny McShain vs Maurice Tillet - The Main Event here in Montreal of course had to be The French Angel, Maurice Tillet. His opponent for this headliner would be the capable Danny McShain. Tonight, McShain would prove more than capable, and take the fight to Tillet most of the way. Tillet would give the crowd reasons to cheer, but was thwarted again and again by McShain, who would follow up an atomic drop and a near pinfall with a devastating piledriver. MCSHAIN PINS TILLET

These are so well done. And I'm pretty sure getting snipped of the world title is what eventually convinced Verne to split from the Alliance......

Card #19 From Maple Leaf Gardens, Toronto, ON, Canada
Fritz Von Goering vs Rod Fenton - Our opening match tonight features two notorious tough guys, Rod Fenton and Fritz Von Goering. The match would start off as the brawl that was anticipated. Seemingly getting nowhere, Fenton suddenly changed up to more of a finesse attack, capping the match after a series of dropkicks. FENTON PINS VON GOERING
Red Berry vs Don Leo Jonathan - After disposing of Aussie Roy Heffernan his last time out, Don Leo Jonathan next squares off against his ally, Red Berry. The giant proved to be too much again. Suddenly, Heffernan comes running to the ring, only to be met with a wicked clothesline at the ring apron, then turned in time to catch Berry and finish him off with the Mormon Swing. JONATHAN PINS BERRY
Antonino Rocca vs Johnny Valentine - The next matchup is an interesting one on paper, two skilled, promising grapplers in Rocca and Valentine. In this case, promises were broken, and Valentine's unexpected struggles continued. Rocca controlled the match from the outset, finishing off Valentine with his Argentine Backbreaker. ROCCA PINS VALENTINE
Gorgeous George vs Gory Guerrero - Two veterans square off again in our next match, Gory Guerrero faces Gorgeous George, with his friend, Bob Hope. The crowd still doesn't know what to think of this partnership, with the popular Hope palling with the likes of George. Guererro could care less about Hope's shenanigans, and goes about mopping up the ring with the Orchid. Guerrero secures what felt like the finishing pinfall, when Hope came to the rescue, stomping on Guerrero's head and back, before making a hasty exit, even tripping over the ref in his escape. The ref had seen enough, and gave the win to Guererro. GUERRERO WINS BY DQ
Costello & Heffernan vs Varga & Blassie - We next change gears to present an entertaining tag team contest, with the top flight Aussie team of Heffernan and Costello meeting the California based Varga and Blassie. The Californians more than held their own. Blassie eventually had Costello backed into the turnbuckle, connecting with a nasty forearm to the chest, when the wild card Red Berry sprinted to the ring, suckerpunching Blassie, and running off. Costello took advantage, cradling up the stunned Blassie for the three count, giving the Aussies the undeserved win. COSTELLO PINS BLASSIE
Lou Thesz vs Bronko Nagurski - GWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BOUT - Best of 3 Falls - Lou Thesz, the former champ, was deemed the next challenger to the current belt holder, Bronko Nagurski. The anticipated clash began with both fighters wary of the other's attack. It was the champ who captured the initiative and took it to Thesz. In a surprisingly quick amount of time, Nagurski had Thesz bundled up for a small package suplex, and secured the pinfall. The second fall saw the intensity ratcheted up, as Thesz grew shockingly more emotional, even desperate. As he gathered himself outside the ring, Nagurski followed. In the scrum that followed, Thesz seemed to grab the ref and toss him out of the way. The ref went sprawling into the barricades, and called for the bell. Thesz looked shocked as the fall and the match was awarded to Nagurski by disqualification. Thesz immediately called for a rematch. Jury's still out on that. NAGURSKI WINS IN STRAIGHT FALLS.

Card #20 From The Hammerstein Ballroom, New York City
Lord James Blears vs Black Shadow - Blears steals a win after being dominated for the entirety of the match up to the final seconds. After being sent into the ropes, Blears slides past Shadow's flip attempt, and gathers Shadow in a small package for the pin. BLEARS PINS SHADOW
Don Eagle vs Bull Curry - The Wild Bull survived an early onsluaght at the hands of Don Eagle to fight back, but then snuck on his infamous brass knuckles, and dropped Eagle with a punch. The ref was all over it, and instantly called for the bell. EAGLE WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
El Santo vs Blue Demon - Demon absolutely controlled the match from the opening bell, coming so close to victory multiple times. Drawing up every ounce of courage, Santo fought back, gaining energy as the crowd responded, and poured it on, finishing his archrival with a series of powerful slams and scoring the pin. SANTO PINS DEMON
Verne Gagne vs The Sheik - Finding himself in trouble early, the diabolical Syrian dug his teeth into the skin between Gagne's eyebrows. As the stunned All-American Gagne bled profusely, the Sheik locked him in to a wicked camel clutch. As the crowd screamed at the ref, Gagne tapped, and the ref awarded the match to The Sheik. SHEIK WINS BY SUBMISSION
Buddy Rogers vs The Crusher - The frustratingly inconsistent Buddy Rogers looked every bit like a contender, as he embarrassingly squashed the Crusher. Three piledrivers were too much, as The Crusher was finished before he ever got started. ROGERS PINS CRUSHER
Killer Kowalski vs Yukon Eric - Two large imposing figures met for tonight's main event. Kowalski proved to be just a touch more agile, just a step quicker, and just a little stronger as the match wore on. The Killer's claw was more than Eric could handle, and the match was over. KOWALSKI WINS BY SUBMISSION

Card #21 From Olympia Stadium, Detroit, Michigan
Lightning Rod Fenton vs Red Berry - A dirty slog of a match. All sorts of punches, kicks and underhanded nastiness was served up by both. It was, however, Fenton's nastiness which won the day, capped off with an impressive set of dropkicks. FENTON PINS BERRY
Al Costello vs Maurice Tillet - Berry's cohort, the Outback Raider Costello, would take to the ring next, with Berry observing from ringside. The French Angel noticed, and was on guard. On being thrown out of the ring. Tillet's other side took hold, as he grabbed a chair from over the barrier, and took after Costello, who dropped like a slug. Berry ran for it, as the ref called the match over. COSTELLO WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION
Billy Varga vs Gorgeous George - Billy Varga would be up next, facing The Human Orchid himself, with mouthpiece, mascot, and general nuisance, Bob Hope. Hope spent most of the match taunting Varga, calling him 'fake Hollywood' among other slurs. Varga, if anything, fed off of Hope's energy cast his way, and took it out on the Gorgeous one. Varga would finish off George with a Boston Crab, as Hope stumbled on his way into the ring, unable to save his cohort. VARGA WINS BY SUBMISSION
Don Leo Jonathan vs Yukon Eric - A promising pairing of oversized contenders failed to develop, as Yukon Eric appeared to be injured by a shoulder tackle from Jonathan. Big Don Leo sent Eric airbone with a Mormon Swing before finishing it off with a quick pin. JONATHAN PINS ERIC
El Santo vs Danny McShain - The former World Champion from Hidalgo, Mexico takes on the rough Texas brawler. The Champ's class and talent carried the day today, putting on an exhibition of wrestling skill. McShain stubbornly made a game effort, but eventually succumbed to La De A Caballo. SANTO WINS BY SUBMISSION
Antonino Rocca vs Lou Thesz - Top contender Lou Thesz met the challenge of the highly talented, but not ready for the big stage Argentine. Rocca did look impressive in shots, but was outclassed tonight. A quick flurry would be capped off with a textbook Thesz Press to end this one tonight. THESZ PINS ROCCA

Card # 22 From The International Ampitheater, Chicago, IL
Black Shadow vs Angelo Poffo - The Shadow's athletecism was on full display, but it was Poffo's toughness and grit that would persevere and outlast his opponent. A crushing backbreaker was the coup du gras. POFFO PINS SHADOW
Roy Heffernan vs Chief Don Eagle - On his own, without his teammate, Costello, and his lowdown friend Red Berry, Roy Heffernan could not manage much against Don Eagle. The Chief completely controlled the match, then finished it off with a flying body block. EAGLE PINS HEFFERNAN
Freddie Blassie vs The Sheik - This one couldn't really be called a wrestling match. This was a mutual assault. It can't be said the ref was ever really in charge of this riot, but when Blassie chased the Sheik around the ring and caught him with a folding chair across the back, he had to call for the bell. SHEIK WINS BY DISQUALIFICATION.
Fritz Von Goering vs Buddy Rogers - Buddy Rogers again showed what he's capable of. Tonight, that was much more than Von Goering could muster. Rogers exhibited possibly the most devastating move we see in the GWA, his figure four leg lock, to end it. ROGERS WINS BY SUBMISSION
Johnny Valentine vs Gory Guerrero - The struggle continues for young Mr Valentine. Before anyone present could adjust to what they were seeing, Valentine was flat on the mat, and Guerrero was pouncing on him, locking his chin in his hands, and ending the match with La De A Caballo. GUERRERO WINS BY SUBMISSION
Killer Kowalski vs Bronko Nagurski - GWA WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - BEST OF 3 FALLS - The Champion takes to the ring in the city he thrilled on the gridiron. His foe, Killer Kowalski, sought to end the reunion in quick fashion, unleashing on the belt holder. The attack was impressive, but he could not manage to bring the Champ down. Nagurski would recover, turn the tide, and end it as he has many times before with his crab hold. The second fall seemed to be more a matter of fact, Kowalski had taken his shot, come up short, and again found himself tapping out as the Champion exalted. NAGURSKI WINS IN STRAIGHT FALLS
