Fantastic Episode...the "unboxing" was a ton of fun, would have loved to have been "in the room" to watch it happen. I would definitely have been able to get through the episode without "having to" take too many shots for honorable mentions (I was working after all...so it would have been shots of water!" I mean, you guys almost made it all the way through before an honorable mentions! (speaking of drinks for the UT drinking game when we get the rules, hey stu , I saw what you are really drinking during the holidays!!! Egg NogAnd, a BIG THANKS for the Birthday Wishes! Bryant is a former Cub...now he is a hated giANT  Haha! What can I say? I've been incredibly impressed with was SF has done this season. They've been so much fun to watch in addition to winning 107 games. I'm looking forward to a great series with the Dodgers, though. Should be great stuff. Gotta agree with you there Sam. Dodgers-Giants has the makings of a classic. Now, I may only be able to watch an inning or two each game, as they'll start 'em around 10:00 my time!  And sorry about not mentioning EPL. That just continues to grow in popularity over here! Go Liverpool! |

Love what Plaay has done for other sports games, and Soccer Blast looks like it would be a ton of fun. The level of detail he gives to sports gaming, while not being too complex, is top notch. |

I listened to this episode yesterday.
I enjoyed hearing Mike's thoughts about the new Centra set that he expertly created. I just finished reading the book and I hope to start using the new set next week.
Thank you guys for the kind words about the deathmatch set and the deathmatch rules I wrote! Cory, if you do decide to have that deathmatch, please let us know how it goes.

Speaking of EPL. stu have you tried Soccer Blast from Plaay Games? I haven't maddog, but I've certainly read a bit on it. Love what Plaay has done for other sports games, and Soccer Blast looks like it would be a ton of fun. The level of detail he gives to sports gaming, while not being too complex, is top notch. He does a really good job of catching that random factor in the games. There's something that tends to feel more real when playing. If you do PC at all, I have found the Dave Koch Sports take on hockey, football and basketball to be pretty good. They have a golf game but I haven't tried that. I have been replaying the USFL with that one. |

I've played some PC, most notaly Strat-O-Matic baseball, Action Hockey, and Dombrov Baseball (the old Superstar Baseball on PC). Haven't checked out Dave Koch sports, but have read a bit about the games on tabletop sports forums...will check 'em out! |

It was lots of fun to hear the candid reactions as everyone had their first look at the new CWF cards... And I really hope you guys bring Mike M back for a more in-depth discussion after everyone has a chance to read through the handbook. In my opinion, this set is definitely the strongest of the brand so far and it makes me even more excited about what's to come... Epitome and Paragon are my favorite characters, but I'm looking forward to putting them all to use in some capacity in the future... Another highly entertaining episode! |

Loved the episode guys and fantastic idea to hold off on the unboxing until all of you had the sets and having Mike MC over the first time you guys saw the cards was really cool. This episode really could have benefitted with a video version as really getting a look at you all seeing the cards for the 1st time really would have been something.
