GCW today announced they are forming a new West Coast based promotion called LA Fights that will mostly feature West Coast talent. The first show is in Los Angeles on Saturday November 28th and I definitely plan to attend as that will be during my Thanksgiving break. The announcement said that LA Fights will be similar to GCW's JCW fed on the East Coast with free shows on You Tube (and my guess is some of these shows will be run the same weekend that GCW does their Los Angeles shows- from August through December of this year there will be a total of 5 GCW shows in Los Angeles- which I heard will be happening on a regular basis moving forward.)

Wasn't LA Fights the name of a project Nigel McGuinness was working on at some point?

Wasn't LA Fights the name of a project Nigel McGuinness was working on at some point? Nigel did have a planned project called LA Fights which never got funded but (if I am remembering correctly) I think it was just going to be a series and not an ongoing fed like GCW is doing. It is too bad that project by Nigel did not happen as I really enjoyed his Wrestling Cares shows that he did in Los Angeles around that same time period.

here is some news on the announcement about GCW's LA Fights: Game Changer Wrestling has announced their new sister promotion on the West Coast.
GCW announced today that LA Fights will debut on Sunday, November 28 at Don Quixote in Los Angeles, California. Tickets can be purchased at this link, and go from $20-$35.
The name of the premiere event is LA Fights Vol. #1. It will stream live and free on the official GCW YouTube channel.
GCW noted in a press release that the California-based LA Fights promotion will serve as a companion to GCW on the West Coast, similar to GCW’s Jersey Championship Wrestling on the East Coast. The promotion will provide an additional showcase for rising stars of the West Coast, and SoCal Legends, to compete on the GCW platform.
“Los Angeles has become a second home for GCW,” GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale said in a press release. “When we returned to LA in August, we were welcomed with open arms. It felt great to be back and it felt like there was an opportunity to do so much more. There is so much talent on the West Coast that is on the verge of a break through. I hope that we can help provide that platform, and expand our relationship with the fans of California at the same time. I’m excited to get started!”

GCW ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF LA FIGHTS
LOS ANGELES, OCTOBER 14, 2021 – Game Changer Wrestling is proud to announce the launch of “LA Fights”, a California based promotion intended to serve as a companion to GCW on the West Coast.
Similar to GCW’s Jersey Championship Wrestling brand on the East Coast, LA Fights will provide an additional showcase for both the West Coast’s rising stars and SoCal Legends to compete on the GCW Platform.
“Los Angeles has become a second home for GCW,” said Promoter Brett Lauderdale. “When we returned to LA in August, we were welcomed with open arms. It felt great to be back and it felt like there was an opportunity to do so much more.”
GCW has sold out all 3 of its events in Los Angeles since returning to LA after a pandemic hiatus, including their upcoming shows, Bloodsport on Oct 22nd and on October 23rd at the Ukrainian Cultural Center on Melrose.
LA Fights will launch on Sunday, November 28th at 3PM at Don Quixote on Olympic Blvd. The event will stream LIVE and FREE for everyone on the GCW Youtube Page.
“There is so much talent on the West Coast that is on the verge of a break through,” said Lauderdale. “I hope that we can help provide that platform, and expand our relationship with the fans of California at the same time. I’m excited to get started!”

Very cool Vegas. All I see are opportunities for new signings for days 😊 That and potential for some great in-ring action. You’ll have to keep us updated on the live experience too.
