Hello all,
In my Legends fed, my next PPV is going to be a show called Proving Ground. Part of this includes what I'm calling the "Prove Yourself Gauntlet". The idea is 16 indy wrestlers are chosen for qualifying matches on my weekly TV. The 8 winners move on to the PPV for the Gauntlet. The winner of the Gauntlet gets a spot on my LWF roster in a feature spot. My problem is I'm having a hard time choosing the talent. So, from the various indy sets, who would you place among the 16? I don't have all the sets, but I'd got a bunch. Suggestions?
Thanks!

I guess it depends on how powerful you want the eventual winner to be. I've done three tournaments where indie guys compete for a short term deal and a shot at the secondary belt but I don't put headliners in it.

You could practically do it with ROH but to make things more interesting
Kevin Steen, Bryan Danielson, AJ Styles, Kenny Omega, Mil Muertes, Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Zack Sabre Jr., Calvin Tankman, Chris Masters, Hallowicked, Jay Lethal, Jeff Cobb, Killer Kross, Matt Riddle, Ricochet

It's more about where I want to position them on the card, which would be upper-midcard with possible main events down the line. To me, that has more to do with booking than power level. I like the challenge of booking when the results are a shoot. What do I do when this young upstart hits the scene and dominates, or wins the gauntlet and flops, lots of possibilities and writing around that is the fun of my Legends fed. That said, keep the suggestions coming! This is helping a lot!

That’s a great point because you could end with an Indy guy totally bossing your Legends fed.

Can I book it properly and compellingly, that's the challenge to me.

Great lists of guys who have achieved some success in the major feds. I might add Sami Generico to go along with his buddy Steen.

I'm a bit Old School with that, but Indies Wrestlers in a Legends Fed are Midcarders for me. So i would maybe not use Claudios Chikara Card.
