Just got my copy and looked through it. Was surprised that there was no Texas Bull Rope Match. But I went back and looked at the chart for the chain match and realized that you can easily substitute the rope and the cow bell for the chain in the rolls involving hitting/punching with the chain, or choking/clotheslining with the chain, and it would work fine. I would hate to think we were missing Dusty Rhodes signature match. I think it would also work for Wahoo McDaniel's or Chief Jay Strongbow's Indian Strap Match.

Im still thinking about Scaffold Matches. In my opinion back in the Days they were a overhyped thing. It was more about the thrill than the Wrestling. I love to see fast faced action in the Ring Yea, I have not really been fan of them. For something different it is ok. The thing is when the first ones were done it was about trying to find something to settle or further fuel a feud and they were limited by resources and/or imagination. I could be wrong but outside of cage, Texas Death, Lumberjack, dog collar and maybe whipping match there was not much to make a feud more intense.

- Cool to see the Alley Fight made official. - The Sam's Brawl Match! An all-time Club Galactica classic. I was thrilled to hear they wanted to include the Alley Fight. Had been a staple in my various Feds for many years. I had different versions where the ending PIN target was anywhere from 10-20 but have been using 16 for several years. Seems to give you a good match without getting tedious. Rob had asked to use Sam's Brawl when he was doing his Kronos update for Commander Sam. I told him some of the verbiage might be dated since I devised it in 198?. I also remember busting young Pete's nuts at Galacticon one year when he created a match with the same name. I mean, who else could ever come up with a match name like that for a guy named Sam who is a brawler and likes to name things after himself? Pete had to be ripping me off!

Got it today, two days late for my birthday (would have probably made it on time but we got slammed by snow and the mail didn't run here for two days). But my wife, who ordered it for me for Christmas, has now decided it was a ChristmasBirthday gift, so she didn't have to buy me anything else. So the FG crew did her a favor, I guess. Love the aforementioned stuff making it into the official book. Spiral bound was absolutely the way to go with this too because it's SO easy to turn it to the necessary page and leave it open to consult. Kind of makes me want to do one of those old fashioned Club Galactica Super Report supercards where every match is some sort of gimmick or stipulation. SupermegaOMGBigFrickinCard '22 is coming, baby!

I've had mine for a couple of days, now.
Forgot to say anything because I'm dealing with crazy family drama at the moment.

I think my first Club Galactica newsletter was the second-to-last one ever (had the 2094 booklet cover on the front and an early review of the set). The "Sam's Brawl Match" once upon a time was just a random name in the Around the Galaxy results--I think I might have created rules for other matches I saw in that newsletter, well before I got actual back issues with actual rules.

I saw Jim Cornette once on youtube talking about scaffold matches. He said the Midnight Express had a series of them when they were wrestling around, I believe, the Texas area, but they were with a shorter scaffold than the one used for the match against the Road Warriors. He also said that a scaffold match will fill the seats, ONCE, but then you have to wait maybe a year or more to have another one. Having a second one soon after the first one will not draw a crowd, they've already seen it, there's nothing new or mysterious about it.

I've had mine for a couple of days, now. Forgot to say anything because I'm dealing with crazy family drama at the moment. Hope the drama ends soon so you can enjoy the greatness of the Companion. That and because drama outside of a movie or wrestling just sucks.

Fantastic reference point. I don’t have the companion book yet but I wonder on the year introduced being correct for Castor Chain match. Listed as 2021. Not sure when it actually did, 2101/2102 perhaps? The Castor Chain Match is listed as being from 2021 in the Ringside Companion. When I was entering everything into the spreadsheet I left that as a placeholder, but forgot to look up the correct year before posting. Secretly, part of me just thought it was cool being alive when a COTG match debuted. I have updated the post and the PDF. Is there a Castor Oil Match coming soon?
