I didn't read this from cover to cover until recently. I think the Walk the Plank match could serve as a substitute for the Ultimate X match if you have a belt hanging over the ring instead of the sail. Also, the Brymstone Burning match reminds me of that tag match in Japan where Sheik and Sabu both got burned.

Here's a dumb question: The ladder match description says to roll on the ladder chart whenever someone is pinned. Does that mean every time someone rolls their PIN or ever time someone rolls their PIN unsuccessfully? I have a feeling I was doing it wrong for half the match I just played.

I took it as everytime someone rolls their PIN. Unless you are doing pin falls, I don't see when there would ever be an unsuccessful pin rolled.

I always played it as a substitute for rolling a pin.

Yea it is roll on chart instead of rolling for pin. Of course, if you are playing an Impact King of the Ring type match you would have to make a pin BEFORE you can climb the ladder.

Whilst we are on the subject of the ladder match, am I right that this is basically a coin flip? Wrestler rolls on the ladder chart and wins on a 2 but loses on a 12.

I never thought of it that way but I guess you could see it in that sense. Keep in mind, if you're more into the realism where one wrestler dominates the other and earns the win, there is the optional rule where you can have a wrestler win if his opponent's PIN rating reaches "12."
