Here's a brand new bootleg to play with. I mentioned that I was working on him at the Perennial and figured I've been play testing him since November, so he's probably ready to go. 3(0) in chain matches!!? Tennessee Chain Match... Ron Wright was famous for them... one of those weird circumstances where the heel was pretty much indestructible in his specialty match... Great card, btw!!

He and Whitey Caldwell had some famous ones. I took the inspiration from the Bull Curry card, who is 3 (0) in Brass Knuckle matches.

Now I'd like to see Whitey Caldwell. Unfortunately there's so little footage out there that I don't think I could do a bootleg justice. I try to do as much diligent research as I can to come up with both the most accurate and best playing card I feel that I can when I do these, and with Whitey Caldwell, there's no footage and very little in the way of written recollections of his matches. I've been able to find some stuff about his feud with Ron Wright, and the fact that he participated in chain matches with Wright, etc. but other details are scarce to put it politely. I'd love a Whitey bootleg as well, but I don't feel qualified to do it. Even Ron Wright was lacking in footage (I watched a handful of matches that are around), but I was able to fill that in with oral stories about matches with him, or that people had seen, plus written information that was out there.

Tried my hand a doing a black and white line art bootleg using layering, tracing, and all that jazz in Photoshop. It came out OK. It's certainly not the greatest piece of wrestling art ever produced...but it gets the job done.

Shoot, the black and white art is not bad. I may just print that one out and use it with the other black and whites.
