Arena Cards

With the imminent arrival of Legends Expansion VII, I’ve been listening to a lot of Memphis related podcasts and watching a lot of Memphis wrestling on YouTube. Both include innumerable mentions of the Mid-South Coliseum, so much so, the venue has almost become a personality in the territory.

That got me thinking about getting cards for some of the more Historic venues in the game. 

Mid-South Coliseum 
Cow Palace
Cobo Hall
Madison Square Garden
Grand Olympic Auditorium

as for the stats on these cards they could modify the champs. Or, as has been discussed, have the rules for ‘territory stats’ that have been discussed. Or an attendance chart you roll on that gives a modifier to the wrestlers in the main event. There’s lots of possibilities. 

I do think that for some venues, maybe all, you’d need permission. I’m thinking Madison Square Garden would be more difficult to pin down.

This could be done for COTG too. And the ‘rights’ issue would be easier.

Maybe add a way to determine the attendance of the crowd per show, give the local stars an advantage.

I think it's interesting but I'm not sure it needs to be an actual card. Perhaps instead a booklet along the line of the special matches booklet. (As well, the real arenas are probably a lot trickier)

I actually like the idea. Going off Troy's idea have it be in a flip book like the special matches chart so you can flip to the arena and have it stand up so the chart kind of stands up

I like the idea of venue cards. Especially if it means we'll get Aethra venues.

With regard to the rights issue, why not just use city names? Manhattan NY instead of MSG, for example. Just mentally substitute whichever actual venue is appropriate for the era.

This is an incredible suggestion. I like the idea of cards because I dig cards. Perhaps each location could have a property that reflects the local style of professional wrestling and that somehow influences game play. Kind of like the referee cards.

If it's good enough for Strat-O Football, it's good enough for this game (ex: New York Giants = New York *NFC*), oh yeah!

I love this concept. Feels like you could add a cool extra card to all these territory themed packs, and it could add a fun extra element to "big" shows.

I'm already excited for the theoretical bootlegs this would theoretically open the door for...
