Was it ever written by Tom (cannon) that Alpha female was in prison on Aethra? I thought she just disappeared with Havoc and MOST of the other BD characters. Per Future Shock 2130 handbook "Alpha Female – Upon losing her powers after her Black Death possession Alpha Female was ordered to return to Aethra most likely for severe punishment. She was captured by Aethran authorities in Rigel. The Council of Stars and Planets has warned Aethra to release her but the Overmaster is adamant, “Mind your own business, this is an Aethran matter.”"

She has just been freed in the 614 Universe by the 'NEW' M.O.W.

My set was delivered on the 21st. I've had a chance to pore over the book and cards, and thought I'd share some thoughts. SPOILERS AHEAD....
I thought the conversation with all the GWF "suits" were very interesting. Not sure if Tom meant it this way, but I detected some commentary on modern wrestling as well as society at large here, on top of obvious observations about the current state of the GWF (in the official timeline). Big LOL at the Deva mark.
I happen to agree that the GWF should focus more on wrestling, and less on cosmic wars etc. That's basically how I book my own fed. I sub the cosmic war stuff for wrestlers just displaying extreme hometown (or planet in this case) pride. Kind of like college sports.
I'd probably be considered a very boring booker. I book my fed like the old WWWF/WWF. At least I try to. The dice don't always go my way on that, but that is where interesting and unexpected things can happen to keep things fresh. So I like that the GWF might get back to being more about good ol' fashioned wrestling, but Deva will not be the one to do that, at least for my fed. She's an obvious avatar for "sports entertainment" and is a non starter for me... actually, probably anyone would (be a non-starter) since my fed is already run like an old northeast territory. Of course, there is a possibility of using Deva and the New Vibe wrestlers like an "invasion angle", but I'll have to think on that for a bit.
Apex is fantastic. The Gladiators have always been my favorite faction in the GWF, as I always saw Brute and Massacre as Road Warrior stand ins. There will be some serious headbanging going on in my corner of the GWF.
I'd hope that we have not heard the last of Endgame... or at least get to find out where he's gone. Seems to be sort of a downer ending for someone who has been such a big part of the GWF for so long.
I'm not buying the change of heart for Godsend/Grandmaster and Lady Grandmaster, but I'll be interested to see where Tom takes that.
Overall a terrific set. :-D

To me the galactic wars was much like old school country vs country. Be it USA vs USSR or USA vs Iraq. The only thing is I ignored the large-scale ramifications of what was going on and focused on the planetary pride aspect of the wars.

Anyone else get the feeling Havoc is a spy for the Gladiators or is it just me? Just me? Yea that is what I figured. I got the thought when he blew off where he had been last few years and then hinted that he knew what was really going on with DM and the Gladiators. Sure, later he talks about healers and exorcists but I think he might be working with the Gladiators getting inside info on The Liberators and their plans just like DM did with Godsend. No, but I do think its weird that Alpha Female is rioting in an Aethran prison cell and Havoc left her high and dry, but no mention of it on his return. You think Havoc would still be Aethra's fugitive #1 for betraying them. So no orders from Overmaster to Apex to bring Havoc in for treason. I would have thought Havoc always having a spy undertone to his character and being with Alpha Female as a couple in black death he would have tried to free her.Maybe he is a spy for the Aethrans and in exchange they free Alpha Female.I do think Mr.Everything could be Vanity's son.

Origins 2138 arrived today.Spoilers ahead....I love the storylines and Tom using the Gwf board of directors to make a commentary about real-life wrestling in regard to sports entertainment.I like Deva and she will be interesting to write for as I have plans for her instead of being a traditional commissioner and saying fight the number one contender or going by rankings for a title shot she would do things like award a title shot to a wrestler in the GWF who has the most social media followers or someone that tweets or posts controversial things on social media like perhaps Apex or Siege or Tharkas posting fascist or racially insensitive tweets.I was bummed to see Endgame and The Aethran Overmaster go two of my faves but it seems like Tom is setting up a reset and future power struggles for control of The Conquerors by introducing new wrestlers like Istar and having him feud with Tharkas and control of the Titans with the introduction of Titanpower and his grievances with Lord Nexus and in the Gladiators with Apex and Siege and perhaps Mr.Everything with the FDF.What stuck out to me was not only the de-emphasizing of teams but other than maybe the Gladiators and Conqueror's and possibly the foundation the de-emphasizing of traditional and defined heroes and villains and more just an emphasis on the wrestlers individual motivations like Bloody Marry,Titanpower,The Grandmaster,Mr.Everything,Havoc,Zulifqar and Titanpower aren't really traditional heroes or villains in the mold of Star Warrior or Thantos or Brute and Massacre and The Greek Gods but more driven by individual motivations than allegiance to the hero or villain camps which I like that direction.I fear Rob is right and perhaps Apex ends Monolith's career and that prompts Andromeda to send a Ani-man on Apex's level I don't believe Tempest is it.As far as the cards go I am a Gladiator guy so Apex and Havoc were my favorite cards of the new set my third would be Mr.Everything who will be fun to write storylines for and reminds me of The Miz with a over the top influencer/star persona which like The Miz whose personality and storylines around said persona overshadow the wrestling ability.I loved the art of all the cards in the set and am excited to play out the GWF's new vibe as the kids say.The origins storyline has been my favorite storyline since Wargames and more recently the Black Death storyline.Great job by the Filsinger games staff.

Today I finally finished reading the 2138 book.
Here are some of my thoughts:
I wonder if Deva is really what she claims to be? Something seems weird about her IMO.
Of the New Vibe, I find Zulqifar and Mr. Everythign as the most intriguing and I hope we find out more about their pasts.
I suspect Endgame and Cosmic Woman will reappear somewhere.
I was shocked by Monolith joining The Foundation.
I share the opinion of Lord Nexus and others about the deemphasis of factions.
I wish the tag feuds were also listed along with the single feuds in the character bios.
This looks like another great set and I will start bringing in these wrestlers when I return to closing out my 2137 fed tomorrow while making the transition to 2138 with my Vega Warfare 2137 show.
