Not going to spoil it for anyone who hasn't listened...so don't click on this link if you don't want to know who the Greatest Gladiator of All Time! If you don't agree, well take it up with him!!!! I asked Mr. BANK$ for a look of total disdain and disgust on his face and boy did he nail it!!! Also, he's looking down at you, not just because he's tall but because you are beneath him.

No I get that but your last comment I would have done. Paralyze & Rush in tag team against maybe Fist & Probation. Havoc was just awesome.

I heard this episode tonight at the gym after watching football.
About the Backlund-Race matchup at the recent Filsinger Games Game Night, on the recommendation tigersamurai gave on Roll Up last Summer after Bob Backlund's card was announced, I acquired and read a copy of Backlund's book which is now one of my favorite wrestling books. I learned alot about Backlund, the WWWF (and WWF,) and the early to mid 1970s-mid 1980s wrestling landscape in general from reading that book. I also learned about Backlund's history with Race which included their battles in St. Louis over the NWA Missouri Heavyweight Championship (which according to Backlund was the NWA's 2nd most important title at the time,) the decision to replace Terry Funk NWA World Heavyweight Champion with Race instead of Backlund (who instead went to New York,) and Backlund's match at Madison Square Garden against Race in a match that pitted the current WWF World Champion against the current NWA World Heavyweight Champion. So that was a great idea for a LOW match between Sam and Mike at Filsinger Games Game Night.
The rationales given by the panelists were very sound. For me, my favorite Gladiator singles wrestler is Spike (although Aethran Overmaster has the most Gladiator singles success so far in my color card history) and my favorite Gladiators tag team is Brite and Massacre (although Rush and Turmoil so far have had the most success in my color card history.)
This was a great idea for an episode and I am looking forward to next week's show.

I was disappointed to see Malice and Overkill jobbed out in the first round with a tough match-up. I understand why Thunder had to be in the single's tournament bracket but - man as a tag team he and Overkill WERE the Gladiators tag team for the better part of a decade.
I can't really complain with the singles tournament results - I would have went Vengeance over AO, in a tight matchup just because, for me, Vengeance had a run of dominance in the singles division that AO, at least in two years, has not been able to match.
Really fun listen, as usual.

I was disappointed to see Malice and Overkill jobbed out in the first round with a tough match-up. AGREED!!! The argument in the finals was if you matched Brute and Massacre up against Rush and Turmoil they would lose, but that argument was not made for Malice and Overkill. I argued my point for Malice and Overkill, but Mike M said the three count is over Butcher. LOL Though when I voted AETHRAN OVERMASTER for the win, Mike M and Sam Fain didn't want to except the three count... I'm guessing I won't be asked back... was a blast though! Your real tag tournament winners...
