He wasn't covered, because he wasn't in your sets, but Randy Bugdale drew DEATH KNIGHT II for DK II Beck and put the NGO logo on the forehead of his mask. Pete said wait a minute.... He's NOT in the NGO! So, Randy colored it in and made it the crown we all know now. He had too color it in, because most don't know Randy drew in pen - there was no pencils. Yep, Randy did draw Death Knight II, but I didn't get to see him until he was completely done. I am not sure if it was Tim, Chad, Cory, or Mike who noticed that Randy had added the nGo to the drawing, but when Randy was told, the crown is what he came up with to cover it up. The first time I saw the drawing I was BLOWN AWAY! I actually had to add to his story because I didn't know that he was going to draw DK II's robotic hand like he did...and that also led to the "Loaded Gauntlet - 3 (add 1)" move. ----- The nGo sets were trend setters...they were something else! I loved using them and a quite a few of them had major impacts in my fed. |

It's not obvious that Lynch is Johnah Hex and Grave Digger is the Undertaker is it?  Lynch's tattoo is wicked! I might have to consider some similar ink for the future. (Though the location will have to be different since there is no open real estate on my arms.) |

The enthusiasm while discussing these bootleg sets really captures the true spirit of this game... The ultimate goal is to have as much fun as possible! In my humble opinion, Cory Olson should have combined the two monikers - 'Shebu, the Draconian Chick' - when naming his creation. A very inspiring episode, gentlemen... Thank you for sharing. |

I wish we still could get these sets ... I have bits and pieces left from multiple moves. I had the sets but not sure what happened. Tiger Mask, Korr & Walter, El Pantera Negro and Carnage & Slaughterhouse ... I wish I could go back and time and yell at my self to use a better way to store cards  |

Just getting around to listening.
Watched This Is Gus with my wife, who is a big Psych fan. The start really didn't pull me in and was actually kind of a bummer: Lassiter in his condition, Shawn and Jules with the entire "we'll never have kids" thing (and those two just don't have the chemistry they used to have, apparently down to personal reasons), and it was just really flat. But then it found it's footing and got back into the groove and I really enjoyed it.
NGO discussion was interesting to me. I never did own any of the originals, but they had such a distinct look. The stuff Randy Bugdale drew always fascinated me. That stippling technique is very time consuming, and a little maddening besides. Takes a patience I just don't have to pull off. So many off the wall characters, too. The idea of Baron Vas Deferens cracks me up.
Fun show. Long, but fun discussion.
PS: I don't claim to be an afficianado on 90s movies, but I'm not saying I'm not. still having a hard time figuring out who Pistol Dawn is based on. Likeness isn't all there on the face. Brittany Andrews maybe.
.....not that I know anything about any of this. I'm just making stuff up. Nevermind.
