NGW TN invades RVA for ONE NIGHT ONLY for one BOGUS JOURNEY
Here's A Link to the Original Post & A Link to the Actual Show. I was 4 cards and about 90 young bucks short of using all competitors currently represented in the game that were also on the card at the actual event so instead I used talent that were either tangentially related, had a similar dynamic, ability, match psychology or just felt like fun matchups.
Kaleb Konley VS Jay Lethal
Konley plays the cowardly geek to a T ( or rather to a K) taking his time on the outside & sneaking in offense whenever possible. Ultimately, a neck brace will not stop a fully locked in Koji Clutch.
BLK OUT(Blk Jeez/Joker/Ruckus) VS The Gentleman's Club (Chuck Taylor/Drew Gulak/Fire Ant)Lethal (+3) submits Konley (+5) via KOJI CLUTCH 4*
The match pace was classic Gentleman's Club much to the ire of Blk Out (and Drew Gulak) who were eventually able to wear down Fire Ant before Chuckie T made the hot tag.
Gentleman's Club (+5) defeats BLK OUT (+9) when Taylor pinned Joker with the AWFUL WAFFLE 2.5*
AR Fox VS Conor Claxton
Straightforward contest with Claxton being surprisingly resilient and dominant in the early going until the seasoned Fox picked his opening.
Fox (+3) pins Claxton (+2) via LO MEIN PAIN 2.5*
Double 6s on the DeathJump Chart and Su Yung steals one!
Yung (+2) pins Baker (+3) via FLYING CROSSBODY 2.5*
Despite being the least experienced man in the match, Kincaid was able to keep up with the wrestling résumé's also in the ring and score multiple pin attempts. The West Virginian Gift's undoing came when he halted the match mid-exchange to meditate in lotus position after a hard slap to the face of ACH. This dazed ACH but not All Ego Ethan Page who promptly jackhammered the soul out of Kincaid's body for the 3 count.
Jerry Lynn VS Lio RushThe Troll Boyz (+9) defeat The Renegades (+6) after Ethan Page pins Jason Kincaid via Jackhammer 3.5*
Quick flurries of offense to start from the younger and faster Rush in the opening until a crash and burn plancha to the outside put the veteran Lynn in the driver seat for the remainder of a match. The match featured a nasty sunset bomb from the apron to the outside that setup an even nastier piledriver for the win.
Lynn pins Rush (+6) via CRADLE PILEDRIVER 3*
Moose VS Rich Swann
AND NOW, yooooour MAAAIN EVENT of the evening! Crowd is electric with dueling "All Night" and "MOOSE" chants while the two seemingly mismatched competitors staredown in the middle of the ring. Swann initiates with double middle fingers to bate Moose closer for a tornado DDT but the big man returns the favor with a huge fastball special into the turnbuckle which bounces Swann onto the floor. Swann's speed saves him from a bodyslam to the outside but not from a giant swing into the guard rail that sends fans scurrying for cheaper seats. Back in the ring a giant pounce from Moose sends Swann flying and into position for a SPEAR. Swann's freaky resilience is on full display until a kodiak grizzly of a bear hug ragdolls the smaller competitor!
Moose submits Swann (+3) via Bearhug 2*
