9/2/2098 HOF announcement and Inductions
We start off with Commissioner Carter welcoming us to this historic day. It has been decided that every year a singles wrestler will be inducted into the GWF Hall of Fame and every other year a Tag Team will be inducted. Today though is a day 24 years in the making. On September 2nd, 2074 the Galactic Wrestling Federation opened its doors. The GWF was established to promote competition and fair play throughout the galaxy. A level playing field where the best athletes and warriors throughout the galaxy could compete. Instead of war we would settle disputes inside the ring, in a controlled environment. The Galactic Code was created and the roster was set, but not without some hitches. On that first card we saw the Crosscurrents (Vortex and Thetis) battle the Mensans (Trotarus and Cordsar)d. We had Torpor face of with a young Commander Sam. Santon the Loner met Ricken Prince in the middle of the ring. The Paladin Power (Moonstrike and Solar Flare) faced off with Defiance (Jammer and Blood). K.O. Keller battled Torin Caelum and what would be the first ever GWF main event, Omega and Morpheus set their differences aside to form a team known as the Guardians to face off with Dorado Sundown (Blacklash and Bullwhip). For even in the beginning there was dissention as Dorado Sundown claimed they would take over the GWF and make it their own. Without further ado, I’ll hand it over to Commander Sam, who will be announcing our first induction.
Commander Sam: I’ll waste little time here, but I want to continue where Commissioner Carter left off, before getting in to the accolades of this man. The following month the GWF held Card #2 and on October 7th, 2074 a tournament to crown the first ever GWF Galaxian Champion was held. On that night Omega defeated Torpor, Bullwhip, Screw, and Blacklash to make GWF history. It was a title reign that spanned almost an entire year. Throughout his career Omega was the bench mark of what a GWF wrestler should be. He holds the longest Galaxian title reign in GWF history, 489 days. Also, he holds the second longest title reign at 427 days and is tied for the third longest reign at 413 days. He holds the most total days as Galaxian champion 1,952 days. He is an 8-time Galaxian Champion. He’s a 2-time Rigel Rumble Winner, a record 3-time Ring Warrior tournament winner, he was named Wrestler of the Year a record 5 times! It is my honor and privilege to announce the first member of the GWF Hall of Fame, Omega!

Omega: You know, I never helped build the GWF to become a Hall of Famer. I never planned on it taking off like it did. I just wanted a place to settle disputes honorably, without civilians living in fear, and a place where warriors could let out aggression while upholding a code of honor. The fact that fans throughout the galaxy get to pay witness to such great athleticism and competition on a weekly basis now is mind blowing. I’ve got to share this federation with my sons Alpha Force and Star Warrior, I’ve got to witness them achieve great things. I’ve seen real transformation to Cosmos, some good, some bad, but for him to come full circle now as Thantos is an honor I’ve got to witness. That’s what GWF is…it’s hope, it’s transformation, it’s redemption stories, it’s everything I never even imagined it could be. I appreciate this honor from the bottom of my heart. Thank you all!
Now if you don’t mind, I get the privilege of remaining on the stage to introduce the inaugural tag team to enter the GWF Hall of Fame. I mentioned Cosmos, an amazing talent with tremendous potential that entered the GWF on April 4th, 2077. He put on an exhibition against a veteran by the name of Silvar that some say was the greatest debut match ever. When he hit that cross body block and picked up the victory the fans clamored about his immense potential and I saw it right away. After a few years of learning his craft, I knew that I wanted him to team with my son, Star Warrior. The Gamemasters debuted as a tag team on April 2nd, 2079 and captured their 1 Galaxian Tag Title in their first match. From there they honed their harmony of working in unison. As of today they are your current GWF Galaxian Tag Title champions, 7-time GWF Tag Title Holders. They have the longest tag title reign, 882 days. They were named Tag Team of the Year a record 5 times. Ladies and gentleman, your first GWF Hall of Fame Tag Team, The Gamemasters (Cosmos/Thantos & Star Warrior)!

Thantos: We’ve taken an interesting path to get here.
Star Warrior: We certainly have. We’ve been best friends, bitter enemies, and now tag team partners again.
