Former Penn State linebacker Bani Gbadyu died early Saturday morning at Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania at the age of 34 due to complications from pancreatic cancer. Gbadyu’s terminal cancer was discovered in a doctor’s visit last month

Joanna Simon, acclaimed singer, TV correspondent, dies at 85

Joanna Simon, an acclaimed mezzo-soprano, Emmy-winning TV correspondent and one of the three singing Simon sisters who include pop star Carly, has died at age 85.

Simon, the eldest of four, died Wednesday, just a day before her sister Lucy died, according to Lucy’s daughter, Julie Simon.

Radio DJ dies on air: Shock as local Suffolk station announces 55-year-old breakfast host 'passed away while presenting his programme' this morning


A local radio host died from a suspected heart attack while presenting his daily breakfast show.

Tim Gough, 55, was presenting his morning programme for GenX Radio Suffolk when the music stopped playing half way through a song, about an hour into his slot.

The music resumed a few minutes later but Mr Gough, who had been speaking just moments earlier, did not return and later the station confirmed he had passed away.

LESLIE JORDAN DEAD AT 67


Leslie Jordan, the popular actor and comedian known for roles in "Will & Grace" and "American Horror Story" died Monday.


Jordan was in a car crash around 9:30 a.m. Monday at Romaine Street and Cahuenga Boulevard in Los Angeles, news outlets reported.


Law enforcement set up a white tent at the crash site and said the driver died at the scene.

Walt Corey a was an American Football League linebacker and former NFL coach passed away at the age of 84


He played his college football for the University of Miami.

In 1960, Corey was inked to a contract by the American Football League's Dallas Texans as an undrafted linebacker. He went on to star for the Texans and Kansas City Chiefs, with whom he was an AFL All-Star in 1963. He played in 69 games and started in 39 of them for the Chiefs and Texans.

Corey later held assistant coaching positions with several teams, including the Buffalo Bills from 1987 to 1994 under head coach Marv Levy. Corey was Buffalo's defensive coordinator for Buffalo's four consecutive AFC Championship teams from 1990 to 1993. He was also a defensive line coach in New Orleans during the Mike Ditka era, from 1997 to 1999. He was the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach of the Memphis Maniax of the XFL.

Michael Kopsa, Star of Mobile Suit Gundam, Dies at 66

Burt Gustafson, a former NFL assistant coach and longtime scout, passed away at the age of 96.

Gustafson served four head coaches: Dan Devine, Bart Starr, Forrest Gregg and Lindy Infante. Hired in 1971, Gustafson was Devine's linebackers coach for four years. Under Starr, Gustafson served as a college scout for two years, as special teams coach in 1977 and the first three preseason games in 1978, and then as a pro scout for one year and director of pro scouting for six years. In 1985, Gregg reassigned Gustafson to the position of administrative assistant in football operations. Gustafson held that post through 1988, Lindy Infante's first year as coach.
