I just heard this morning, but Mary Austin has passed. She had a career in wrestling as Darling Pat Sherry, but was also the daughter of the Fabulous Moolah. We became friends and she helped me sign Moolah. She may be controversial, but she only wanted her mom to be remembered by new fans that never got to see her. She was a very nice lady, who'd always compliment my kids....RIP Mary

 British wrestling legend Bert Royal has died. He was 91. Another British great, Marty Jones, posted on Facebook on August 20, noting that Royal’s son, Tim, had told him of Bert’s death. A great second generation star, Royal was the son of “The Austrian Tornado” Vic Hessle (born Lewis Faulkner). Royal formed perhaps the greatest tag team in British history as one of “The Fabulous Royal Brothers” with younger brother Vic Faulkner. |
