Since Im home sick this week (pending Covid test results) just for shits and grins I decided to play out the infamous Heroes Of Wrestling PPV in a What If (like what if it was good) situation. I made adjustments to the line-up as needed (like no cards for certain people). I didnt do the Tully Blanchard vs. Stan Lane match as an oversight. Anyhow, here are the results:

Marty Janetty & Dutch Mantell beat the Samoan Swat Team (Samu & Alofa with Larry Sweeney) via Jumping Knee Drop by Mantell on Samu

Greg Valentine (with Sensational Sherri) defeated George The Animal Steele with the FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK

Jimmy Rave beat 2 Cold Scorpio with a Tiger Suplex

The Bushwackers defeated Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff (with Nikita Breznikov) via BATTERING RAM on Volkoff

Abdullah The Butcher (with Rock Riddle) beat One Man Gang via Nerve Hold

Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. defeated Superfly Jimmy Snuka via SUPERPLEX

The Spoiler beat The Sandman via perfect cross body off top rope

Great Gama defeated King Kong Bundy via GAMA THROW

It was a fun card with the best matches being Jannetty/Mantell vs SST, Bushwackers vs Sheik/Volkoff, and Orton/Snuka.

I had so much fun with that card I decided to make it a full fledged fed. I took all the winners (minus The Bushwackers) and ran an 8 man tournament to crown The H.O.W. Champion. Here are the results:

Fun Tourny! Best match was Valentine vs Mantell. Both had 5 tokens and couldve went either way.

Big upset was Jimmy Rave over Great Gama!

*- Adonis had major heat with the crowd. Crowd popped huge when Steele stuffed Adonis' face with turnbuckle stuffing and when he bodyslammed him on the timekeeper table

H.o.W. Tag Title Tournament Round One

Los Piratas defeated Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff (with Nikita Breznikov) when Demus interfered and KO'd Volkoff

* - Score one for the luchadores!

Womens World Tag Titlles Match

The Glamour Girls (with Jimmy Hart) successfully retained against The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew when Leilani Kai pinned Rain after the RUNNING SPLASH

*-The Womens World Tag Champions are stilled ruling the roost but they'll be facing some tough competition in the near future as H.o.W. has signed several talented female tag teams

H.o.W. Tag Title Tournament Round One

King Kong Bundy & Earthquake beat The Midnight Rock N 'Rave Connection (Marty Janetty & Jimmy Rave) when Bundy pinned Marty Janetty after the AVALANCHE

*-The new combination of Bundy and Earthquake could be a dominating force in H.o.W.

Battle Royal for the H.o.W. Womens World Title

Participants were: Jazz, Sara Del Rey, Kris Statlander, Faye Jackson, Rockin Robin, Melina, Trish Stratus, Ivelisse, Britt Baker, Su Yung, & Sherri Martel

Winner: Sherri Martel last eliminating Melina

*- Martel also eliminated Sara Del Rey & Faye Jackson

The Tribe (Navajo Warrior & Hawaiian Lion) beat Demolition with RESERVATION DEVASTATION on Ax

Abdullah The Butcher (with Rock Riddle) defeated "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka (with Capt Lou Albano) via DQ

*-The match spilled outside where both men brawled it out, in the heat of the moment Snuka struck the referee who was trying to restore order

The Bushwackers beat The Samoan Swat Team (with Larry Sweeney) via Count Out

H.o.W. World Title Match

Greg "The Hammer" Valentine(c) (with Sherri Martel) beat Dutch Mantell via DQ

*-Another outstanding battle between these two men. The match went back and forth for nearly twenty minutes with The Hammer throwing out the rulebook and Sensational Sherri interfering. Mantell finally has enough and brings Shoo Baby into the match which causes the ref to disqualify Dirty Dutch. Look for a rematch in the near future! Can The Dutchman get one over on the newly crowned "Power Couple" of Valentine & Martel?

2 Cold Scorpio got a win over Sam Adonis with the SCORPIO SPLASH (Baltimore Civic Center)

Viva Von & Ruby Raze defeated PAWG when Ruby Raze pinned Jordynne Grace with a Northern Lights Suplex (Boston Gardens)

*-After the commercial break Gorilla threw it over to Bill Apter's Press Conference with "The Power Couple" Greg Valentine and Sensational Sherri. Valentine answered questions from Apter and stated that Dutch Mantell was no longer an eligible contender for his World Title. Valentine also stated that there is no one in Heroes of Wrestling or even in the world for that matter that was going to take the title from him anytime soon. Martel happily stroked her Womens Title and reaffirmed what her man stated.

Tag Team Title Tournament - Semi Finals

Los Piratas upset the team of King Kong Bundy & Earthquake when Earthquake missed the EARTHQUAKE SPLASH and Pirata Morgan capitalized to get a quick pin! (Baltimore Civic Center)

*- After the match King Kong Bundy attacked his partner Earthquake! Bundy got several shots in before Earthquake recovered and fought back! Earthquake began to get the upper hand causing Bundy to make a hasty retreat! More on this situation as it happens!

PIPERS PIT  (Boston Gardens)

Guest: Larry Sweeney

*- Sweeney ran his mouth about Marty Janetty, not even letting Piper get a word in edgewise. Piper seemed to be getting annoyed and looked like he was about to cut Sweeney off when Marty Janetty appeared to confront Sweeney... Janetty slapped Sweeney's face but he was soon blindsided by Afa Jr. Piper was shoved aside when Afa Jr. stormed the Pit set. At this point Hot Rod lost his cool and jumped into the fray! Piper started tagging Afa Jr. with rights and lefts and anything NOT nailed down as Janetty had the upper hand on Sweeney! Sweeney and Afa Jr. finally decided that discretion was the better part of valor and retreated to the back. An angry Piper stated that next week he would team with Janetty against Sweeney and Afa Jr.!!!!

Faye Jackson was victorious over Britt Baker via CHOCOLATE THUNDER (Baltimore Civic Center)

*- Promo from "Cowboy" Bob Orton Jr. on his match with Dutch Mantell. Orton claims he is going to finish off Dutch Mantell for his pal Greg Valentine!

* - Show opens with Gorilla & Bobby discussing the matches on tonight's show from The Spectrum in Philadelphia, Madison Square Garden in NYC, and a special feature match from the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto featuring Canadian Heavyweight Champion Angelo Mosca. They also discuss a letter from a mysterious "BT Barber" addressed to Greg Valentine saying he is "looking forward to doing business in the near future."

2 Cold Scorpio pinned Jimmy Rave after the SCORPIO SPLASH (Spectrum)

* - Gorilla and Bobby continue to discuss the BT Barber letter... "Mr. Valentine, I look forward to doing business with you in the near future. I will do my best to lighten your burden and take some off the top so you can sleep easy" Gorilla and Bobby seem puzzled as to who BT Barber could be.

Lord Zoltan won by count out over The Missing Link (MSG)

* - Zoltan assaulted Link with a chair during Gary Michael Capetta's introductions. Link was unable to recover and he was tossed out of the ring by Zoltan who rammed him into the ringpost. Link was obviously a blood mess even through the pixelation the censors added

* - Promo by Tantanka who stated that he was going to get some payback on Doink in Philly!

Doink The Clown defeated Tatanka with a sleeper after attacking Tatanka before the match began! (Spectrum)

The Bushwackers won over Nikolai Volkoff & The Iron Sheik with the BATTERING RAM on Volkoff (MSG)

Justice Pain beat Nikita Breznikov via PAIN THRILLER in his H.o.W. debut (Spectrum)

(Joined In Progress) John Tenta (fka Earthquake) beat King Kong Bundy via STANDING BACKBREAKER (MSG)

TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT FINAL

The Tribe beat Los Piratas after Pirata Morgan missed a turnbuckle charge and was rolled up by Hawaiian Lion to become the first H.o.W. Tag Team Champions!

* - After the commercial break Gorilla cuts to an incident back in December in Canada concerning the Canadian Heavyweight Champion Angelo Mosca who was being interviewed by Bill Apter. The interview was interrupted when Masked Superstar II blindsided Mosca. The two men broke out into a brawl destroying the PWI Press Conference set! The GWN Commissioner Jack Tunney ordered the two men to take it to the ring and settle it! Right then!

Angelo Mosca put Masked Superstar II down with the SLEEPER (from Maple Leaf Gardens 12/21)

* - They resumed their brawl in the ring! Mosca got the best of his rival (with his loaded elbow pad, though the fans didnt mind as they DESPISE MS II)

* - Back in the studio we are treated to a segment with Gorilla and Bobby along with Roddy Piper and Marty Janetty. They talk about music, Marty with his love of Hard Rock and Piper with Bag Pipes. Heenan throws insults at everyone's music tastes and to Piper himself. Heenan then goes on a rant about music in general as Piper sneaks up behind Heenan and hits a high note on the Pipers which startles Heenan causing him to fall on his ass as Gorilla and Janetty burst out with laughter.

Roddy Piper and Marty Janetty beat Larry Sweeney & Afa Jr. when Piper pinned Afa Jr after a back suplex (Spectrum)

(STEEL CAGE MATCH) "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka pinned Abdullah The Butcher after the SUPERFLY LEAP (FROM THE TOP OF THE CAGE) (MSG)

* - Snuka and Abdullah ended up bloody messes as they both used the cage to their advantage. Abdullah also made good use of a fork to carve up Snuka's forehead. After a long battle Snuka finally got the big man off his feet and climbed to the top of the cage and came down with the SUPERFLY LEAP to get the victory!

* - Gorilla Monsoon closes the show announcing that H.o.W. will be touring Canada for the next couple of weeks and we'll be seeing more of Angelo Mosca and Masked Superstar II as well as other stars of the Great White North!
