Just got to it today ... I think I'm changing back to the pin save/manager idea as I tried to play the official way this time but I think it killed managers for me After listening to the show last week, I switched to rolling pin save/manager int after rolling for the pin. I think I'm going to stick with this as it does make for better matches and makes managers more important.

Unless I am competing against another promoter in a tournament (for example we did have a tag team tournament at Galacticon in Pittsburgh back in 2018,) I have also always rolled for tag team PIN saves (and manager distraction attempts) after rolling for the pin because I agree with everyone here that it makes for better and more exciting matches. Plus it is not cheating if you are always doing it that way for both tag teams as you are being consistent regardless of the tag teams involved in the match.

I always decide to make the save, distract, or interfere, before rolling the pin. I think it makes it too easy to decide to distract/etc. after seeing you were pinned.

No one is going to come and take your game away, unless you mess with tag finishers in singles matches. Then, all bets are off.

I think it is all about the way you choose to play. If you are consistent, it makes no difference, as long as you are doing it for both teams. Further, this way you don't waste the pin save or manager interference/distractor rating. I am weighing it heavily to see. I think I would draw the line one attempt per pin attempt. If the pin save fails, you can't immediately go to the distractor rating, or the manager interference. That seems like you are almost trying to prevent the pin from happening at that point.
