Honestly I still think MJF and Swerve's cards hold up. Only thing I would like is them having unique backgrounds. I'm not a fan of the promotion BGs. Would probably repurchase some sets if the only change was the backgrounds lol Agreed about Swerve, but I think MJF could use some tweaks. Cage rating, power, Turnbuckle - maybe tweaks on the PIN, Level 1 & 2 defense... Not sure. But, yeah, I don't think it's a fair representation of where he is right now (it was perfect for where he was when the set came out and arguably up until earlier this year, even, but I'd rather wait until next year to see where he's at and upgrade then when it could be a little more substantial. That brings up something I'm curious about. What is the time frame when someone is signed that you can make cards of them? We have gotten Tyler Black, Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson cards well after they had signed with WWE. Is it possible to get new cards for MJF, Kingston and Britt Baker even with them in AEW now?

I could be wrong and I'm sure someone will be able to say better, but from what I can gather from previous posts on other threads there were wrestlers signed as part of the company deals (Roh for example) rather than with the individual. I could be wrong but I think that can stop updates, as well as AEW deals. Now if there was a deal in place with AEW, same as Roh, CZW etc had that would be a different story lol

But that doesn't explain the Black, Mox and Danielson getting updates well after they were signed to WWE I asked this question to the team during Tournament Master 's birthday celebration podcast. The answer was, paraphrased, that they did not want to get into individual wrestlers' releases. It is something that we may never have answered. I am just going to follow Chad Olson 's advice that he uttered regarding the Inoki TNTHOFIII release, "Just be cool."

To clear the air, I can say that Black and Danielson signed independently of any promotion tie-in. Mox, I believe, signed on his own too. While there have been some folks that have signed for a limited number of cards or a limited time, most sign a simple general release that has no expiration date attached to it.
A certain amount of discretion is used to avoid any possible entanglements once someone has signed to a major promotion. It's not a maxim - there have been and will be exceptions. It's also essential to understand the drive to focus on never-before-released younger indie talent than a second, third, or fourth release of someone working in the national spotlight. Never say never. There may even be some unexplored avenues to release unique cards in the future. Time will tell.

Okay, I have a new list: 1) Alexander Hammerstone 2) Tom Lawlor 3) Ryan Taylor 4) VSK 5) Travis HuckabeeI know MJF is a no-go, but he still deserves to be on here. After watching the Limitless Wrestling vs. Blitzkrieg Pro show last night, I am shifting the nigh-unattainable MJF to "honorable mention" and putting Travis Huckabee in his place.

I would definitely vote for a Huckabee update. He's needed it for a while, but I'm kind of glad it hasn't happened yet as he's continued to grow and become more important on the Indies.
