Another fun trip down memory lane... I totally remember using the attendance mechanic back in the day... And I'm pretty certain that my friend and I played a series of flag pole matches between Bomb Squad and Alien Corps... That smash in the groin into a +2 pinning predicament certainly had a way of cutting those encounters short.
Since I never watch WWE, I appreciate the Rumble analysis... Your overall thoughts seem to validate my position... Another excellent episode... Thank you for sharing!

Man, this was a fun episode. Thank you for all the laughs guys.
I took a look at customer records and Brian B. did try to make an order last year, so he is still hanging around the mean streets of Nebraska, and not doing hard time for running a COTG gambling operation.

Great episode, gentlemen! You know I've been loving the Mark Ashby episodes. With all the talk of those early years, you guys have me itching to finish my Early Classics so I can restart 2087! Also, as Chad mentioned, we were texting back and forth pretty much the entirety of the Rumble, and I agree with everything that was said. You and Tim nailed so much of what's ineffective about WWE these days. Todd and I actually recorded our thoughts as well but decided to cut them from the final edit of our latest episode. If people are interested, I might have to drop those comments as a bonus episode. It wasn't always pretty... Haha. Keep up the fantastic work! Look forward to the next episode. I would be incredibly interested in hearing those comments. I absolutely hate the WWE product right now. It could be because they fixed something (NXT) that was not broken while the creator (Triple H) was out with a cardiac incident.

Ah the trips down memory lane...love them! So much fun hearing about the stuff from "way back!" Excellent Stuff!
-----
On the Rumble, since I was there in person for my first ever WWE PPV (because it was the Royal Rumble!). Bobby Lashley's entrance, you could have dropped a pin when he came to the ring, there was absolutely no reaction to him...not sure if they piped anything in on the broadcast...but nothing in the building. Lesnar "POPPED" every time he came to the ring...so did Roman (am I the only one who really doesn't get the Roman push...I mean he's good, but not closing in on a 2-year title reign good.) Seth's entrance was fantastic...everyone ate it up and I think the straight DQ was a fantastic finish to that match, just wished the chair beat down would have been sold a bit more on RAW. Women's Rumble was fun...great to see some of the past talent and interaction with the current talent. Once Ronda hit the ring though, everyone in the place knew who was winning and there was a bit of a let-down when the final elimination came so quickly...Charlotte and Ronda should have gone for a few more minutes the crowd wanted something at that point since it was the first faceoff since Mania a few years ago and it was over before you could even blink. I almost missed the entire Becky/Dewdrop match because the line to the bathroom was forever long...luckily I was able to pull it up on peacock and watch it with a couple of others who were in the line. The mixed-tag match...hey it was fun, but everyone knew that Edge and Beth were going over...although it was fun seeing Miz work, seriously he is a fun to watch (IMHO). And the Men's Rumble...first-off if it was 90-seconds between each entrance that would be amazing...it seemed like the further into the match, the quicker the entries came. It felt like #1 and #2 had a chance to set the stage for a great event, but that didn't happen. It sure looked like Kofi missed his spot to hang on and get back in, but with the camera's so focused on him, there was nothing to do other than send him away when both feet hit the ground. The STL crowd wanted Randy to win...and the roof would have blown off the dome if he had...but well that's the local influence. (Maybe with Broc getting the elimination on him it could set something up down the line (who am I kidding, it's the WWE and that's already been forgotten). Shane had no business in the Rumble...at all...there was a bit of a pop, but he really didn't need to be in it. As soon as Broc came out at #30...yep, the result was pretty predictable. Everyone still popped for him and cheered when he won (minus the Randy elimination)...but it was pretty evident that he was going to get the win once his music hit. Here's what I will say...if you don't like WWE's current "entertainment" focus, then you would likely question the validity of it being a good PPV. BUT, let me tell you, there were a bunch of younger people (teens - mid-20s) who were loving everything that was being put in the ring...and I mean EVERYTHING. So, while some of us who are a little older may not have thought it was the best thing the WWE could have done, I don't think the WWE cares since they have a whole new generation of fan that is eating everything they are putting on the plate! Personally, I had fun and enjoy the atmosphere...really the only thing I didn't like was that there were lights above the ring that rotated up and down AND when they stopped them while they were pointed at the audience they were annoying as all get out and blinding as all get out too...if they had just pointed them at the ceiling between matches it would have been perfect. There were even chants of "turn off the lights" because they were soooooo blinding...sooooooo blinding. (Yeah, my only real complaints were the long lines in for the bathrooms and the lights...the wrestling was as expected from the WWE...).
