Really enjoyed this discussion... In fact, it has inspired me to get another indy fed going... Some of the best talent we have available appear in these five sets... In fact, just like Swarm, that Johnny Gargano card remains one of my favorites today... Everything from the artwork to that fun finisher mechanic. Very cool that your daughter is enjoying The Wizard Of Oz, Sam... That was my daughter's favorite movie from around the age of four until she hit double digits... Can't even begin to remember how many parties/events that she attended dressed in some kind of Dorothy costume. On a final note, I thought I'd mention Candi Divine... As stated, it was great that we got her in the game before she passed away... She's played quite a role in my Legends fed... As a former women's champion and currently working as valet for 'Macho Man' Randy Savage. Another superb episode, gentlemen... Very nice work!

I actually have really liked Sabre, he's come so close so many times to grab a title but has just hit a wall each time namely a bigger heavyweight.

I found this episode really interesting since I am always curious about the branded indie sets like the EVOLVE ones, but never really followed them. Thanks for all the information. It definitely sounds like a good series of sets to pick up some day!

Perks of how super Indy Evolve was is that the sets are such an interesting collection of names for the young Indy line, even if someone like a PJ Black were more special attractions IRL.
Who has what belt in their pic is pretty solid if you look at the title history as a whole. Honestly love how consistent the art started to be in 2014, with only duds being maybe Spiked Mohican Ricochet and Val umm well uhhh not really being representative of her commissioner look.
Gulak and Busick (fandubbed “Combat Philosophy”) have made their way into a few iterations of my fed as hard nosed journeymen who probably won’t win but will stomp mud holes in whatever pretty-boy they go up against. Yehi, Ospreay and Ricochet are the only cards I’ve really wanted to make fan edits of.

Also Chuck Taylor sharing his game art on Twitter is how I first heard about FG so I’m pretty biased for the Evolve Starter
