USFL was kinda cool but playing in one arena hurt them, I think. Well except for the Birmingham team who was ALWAYS the home team even when they were supposed to be the road team. I think that helped them do so good. XFL 2 was fun before COVID came along and ruined it and many other things. If not for COVID I think XFL would have continued and be still going on this past spring. Plus, I could have enjoyed WM week. Dumb COVID.

It has been crazy times for sure, so maybe this version can build on what XFL 2 started and do well... |

Not sure how much Vince was involved with XFL 2 beyond financial backing and even that may have been limited as I think the networks were covering some. I would think it would be like WWE. He would step down and someone else would be in charge. His personal/legal issues would affect the XFL 2 very little if at all. |

I am also happy to see they are staying in D.C.
This time around I will definitely make the effort to go see them...I don't know why I didn't a few years ago, but I will this time.

AHHHHHH the season has already started. I thought it was a week or two away. I was on ESPN's web site and saw a game was going on. I got excited when I saw Vipers were up 14-3 then I remembered that is NOT the team from Tampa. They no longer exist. Gonna take a bit to get used to the XFL team being in Orlando under a different name.

I find it funny that the game on ABC is Vipers vs Renegades as those were the names of the two teams of the XFL game I went to back in February 2020. Renegades were, and still are, the Houston team.

Football is my thing. I have been losing interest in NCAA over the years. Plus, it keeps my football watching going after the Super Bowl. I really think if not for COVID they would have continued from the first reboot. I see that partial owner, The Rock, gave a pregame pep speech to the fans. Right now, the biggest threat to the XFL is the USFL but I think they start up just as the XFL is ending. Plus the USFL have all their regular season games at only one or two locations this year where XFL has actual home games for everyone.

I've watched bits of all of the games so fa r and I have to say... It's been entertaining even though the football game play is fairly mediocre.
