Most of the tag teams and the tournament bracket for next month's two-day Crockett Cup was announced by the NWA today. I already bought the two-night package on Fite.
The NWA has announced the official 2022 Crocket Cup tournament bracket, which you can see below:
1. NWA World Tag Team Champions La Rebelion vs. 16. Winner of Four-Way Match on Night One
8. The End (Parrow and Odinson) vs. 9. Hawx Aerie (Luke & PJ Hawx)
5. Strictly Business (Chris Adonis & Thom Latimer) vs. 12. Gold Rushhh (Jordan Clearwater & Marshe Rockett)
4. Doug Williams & A mystery partner vs. 13. The Ill Begotten
3. The OGK (Mike Bennett & Matt Taven) vs. 14. The Fixers (Jay Bradley & Wrecking Ball Legursky)
6. Da Pope & Mims vs. 11. The Cardonas (Mike Knox & VSK) (11th Seed)
7. Kratos & Aron Stevens vs. 10. Dirty Sexy Boys (JTG & Dirty Dango)
2. The Briscoes (Mark & Jay Briscoe) vs. 15. TBD

The Fixers have actually already advanced to the next round as their match against OGK this past week on NWA Powerrr was turned into a First Round match by Billy Corgan.

Watching the Preshow now.
The NWA unfortunately accidentally just gave away the winner of the 4-way for the final spot by showing a graphic of the La Rebelion and their first-round tag team opponent before the 4-way match (in which that tag team is one of the 4 tag teams) has been held to determine the final spot in the Crockett Cup.

The 4-way tag Preshow match just happened and it was awkward as hell IMO. On commentary, Tim Storm and Joe Galli are trying to call the match as if the two of them did not discuss 10 minutes earlier the first-round matchup between La Rebelion and the tag team that indeed won this match but before this qualifying match even took place. Again, they even showed the graphic of the first round matchup between La Rebelion and the winner of the 4-way qualifying tag match before that 4-way tag match happened. That sort of killed my interest in the 4-way match which I was looking forward to with teams such as Violence is Forever and the Rip City Shooters because the winner was already revealed. Hopefully they don't give away any more tournament results before the matches actually happen.
Now on the Preshow, Briscoes vs The Now in a First Round match.

I am also wondering why the Briscoes, the top tag team in the tournament, had their First Round match on the Preshow instead of on the actual PPV?

Yes, odd decision.

Maybe because they were hoping to get people watching the preshow to gain more interest in the PPV?

Is there anything that happens in the NWA today, not come across as "odd"?
Extremely tough brand to watch, IMHO. Covid break really screwed up the momentum they had at the start. It's bloody awful.
