I don't really consider Subway and (even less so) Olive Garden fast food, but on the few occasions that I eat fast food my personal favorites are probably Taco Bell and Del Taco. I live across the street from Taco Bell and I will occasionally go there on the way home from shows at the FSW Arena as they don't offer food at that venue.
I live on the same street as Pizza Hut but I won't eat it.
Overall about the only times I eat fast food is when I am on the road. For example, last weekend on the way back from GCW in California we stopped at In N Out (overrated IMO) since it was open late and the guy we were bringing back to fly out of Las Vegas to Chicago requested that stop. And I went to McDonalds back in December at the airport in Lisbon since it was a food court with limited time before the flight and the other restaurant menus were in Portuguese which I am not fluent in.

I don't know if anyone else watches GOOD MYTHICAL MORNING but I think they label Olive Garden, Applebees, etc as Fast Casual. And it kind of needs that step up category but its one step below the next couple levels.
But I'd vote - Dairy Queen - Sonic - Five Guys - Chipotle - Moes
HONORABLE MENTION - Mighty Taco
Also JERSEY MIKES > Subway, Jersey Mikes so good ...
It might be my stuff out here but BK and McDonalds are not great and Wendys since adding Breakfast seem to be taking a lot of short cuts out my way (the spicy chicken is a basic chicken patty now out here in Western NY). I will also say that I have never been a big fan of McDonalds, I really don't like their fries but I think they did a heckuva job with their new chicken sandwiches. I feel like the big three have lost their way on the thing they should be known for, the BURGER. FRIED chicken sandwiches seem to be the thing now. Not asked but Ill also list my chicken sandwich order ...
1) Popeyes 2) Chik Fil-A 3) McDonalds 4) KFC 5) Wendys ... fell two spots with the change in spicy chicken out here.

How dare you lump Taco Bell into "Mexican"!
And what the heck is Olive Garden doing in this poll?

DQ has a great dealio 2 for $5 double cheeseburgers. One usually satisfies my cravings then I give the other one to whatever kid is around.
But my go-to place is a mom and pop place called Big Joe’s. Broasted chicken, cod fillets and on special occasions, racks of ribs. And they’re super affordable. $7 for 2 cod fillets. $10 for 4 pieces of broasted chicken e potatoes, and $30 for a combo fish/chicken/ribs family combo. Good stuff.
