Another excellent listen, kudos gentlemen.
Muraco was favorite in the set, will always remember his short but intense feud with Piper in Georgia.
The Magnificent One was one of only a few to put his hands on Solie, what a believable heel.

It was great to hear when u guys first witnessed the Legends in this set...
I loved it when Rude was introduced myself as I watched him down in WCCW...a great feud with Chris Adams and a what I thought was a great feud between Rude and Dingo Warrior.
Great looking back

Zybysko Bockwinkle Henning Your unholy trinity of misspelled wrestling names on ads and marquees and results. I’ve never not misspelled Bockwinkel on the first try.

I’ve been a big proponent of the need for another color DDP, so I don’t personally agree with most of the gang here. In fact I feel like the fact that the CAC being almost identical to this black and white one is one of the main points for the update. We can’t pretend stat creep for the color updates hasn’t happened. Just looking at the other names from this set, using Rahl rating: Larry went from a 27 to a 37, Crusher from a 34 to a 45, Muraco from a 34 to a 42. Or look at DDP’s most famous rival that’s in the game, Randy Savage. Savage’s color card from the starter is going to beat CAC Page 90 times out of 100. Before I dig in here, let me be completely honest about a couple of things: 1/ I haven't had a chance to listen to this episode of the podcast yet, so my chief complaint might actually be addressed by the Legends staff during their conversation. 2/ If DDP was not one of my all-time favorite wrestlers, this would probably not be the hill that I choose to die on... But, he is... So, I am. Believe it or not, I don't have a huge problem with the stats... It's unlikely that he would be able to hang with someone like Savage during an extended program... But if each Legends card is supposed to be an overview of a wrestler's career, then it seems likely that Savage should be rated a fair bit higher than Page... My real problem is the artwork... Unless, Page personally requested that particular reference picture be used for the artwork, I simply don't understand why he appears to be the only wrestler in the game that is not depicted in the prime of their career... Or at least, during a time in which he was a very prominent competitor.

I should clarify: Tim *did* advocate on the podcast for potentially updating the artwork, moreso to make it more "Legends-y" though I think he did actually say something about using a picture more from his prime. And also if I remember right, I think the first Savage card was supposed to represent the period more matching the drawing (with the long tights and tassels) and the second is supposed to be Savage more at his peak. I loved the DDP-Savage feud but from a kayfabe standpoint it's hard to argue that Savage wasn't past his prime a little bit when it took place. From a Legends, "wrestling is real, no kayfabe" standpoint, DDP is going to do a lot worse against Prime Savage than the Savage of 1997.

Just getting to listen now. Fever is probably my favorite black and white edition, proving that you don't need a "theme" to have a stellar expansion pack. I was fortunate and thankful to have some small input on the Rick Rude card. Thanks for mentioning that, Chad.
DDP: I am almost certain he requested a newer "DDP Yoga" drawing because "branding, bro". I think the card is good strength and stat-wise and does well when I use it. I would be on board if we could get a special edition card with prime late 90s WCW art though.
I agree that if there's one "sore thumb" in the set it's Corino. He's there. He's cool. Art doesn't do it for me. I enjoyed the later ROH color card much more even if it wasn't "prime" Corino.
Really, I'll be the guy to take the hit as usual and address the elephant in the room. The artist for this era was REAL hit or miss. Rude is a hit. Muraco is decent. DDP is pretty solid. Corino...eh. Larry drawing is kind of lazy. Doring art is poor. The Hodge art is HORRENDOUS. In my meager opinion, of course. I mean, does he kind of look like he doesn't have a mouth? Werner did great with his version later though, so all is well that ends well.
CHAD....CHADChadchad...Chad-o............
Who are you to doubt Denny Brown? Downtown. Denny. Brown.

I could deal with Hodge but I know what you mean about a lack of a mouth. As Tim said, I didn't like the Larry drawing either. While the face was good, I didn't like the haircut chosen or the close-up. Doring's art was very bad. I'd be interested to see what Werner could do with him, particularly in color with Doring's purple and pink outfits. I thought Corino was fine but Werner's ROH and Legends IV drawings were much better. When we get to Legends Teams, I know there were definitely some ones that were not favorites of mine.
