Tonight I went to FSW and then afterward I went downtown to VsX at the Nerd Bar.
results from FSW:
Matt Vandagriff won the opening match.
Funnybone's tea won the 6 man tag match.
G Sharpe vs Davey Richards ended in a draw with a rematch hinted.
Chris Bey defeated Titus Alexander
Nevada State Campion Remy Marcel defeated Adam Brooks, Richard Holliday, and Travis Titan to retain. Holliday earlier in the show gave a great promo segment where he said when he comes to Las Vegas he is used to staying in suites eating fine meals and here he finds himself wrestling in a warehouse in The Hood. Lol, it is really not quite The Hood- I taught for 3 years at the junior high across the street from the FSW Arena- but it is admittedly not the best area of town. Holliday afterward stole the Nevada State Championship which I think is setting up a singles match between him and Remy Marcel on Sunday at the FSW Noon show before Double or Nothing.
Jai Vidal successfully defended the No Limits Championship against Anthony Greene.
Viva Van defeated Danika Della Rouge and Mylo Matters. Viva Van won this match by hitting her finisher HIGHWAY TO HELL (her Ocean Psychlone Suplex) on BOTH Rouge and Matters. Rouge was lying down on the mat and Viva then hit HIGHWAY TO HELL on both of them by hitting the move so that Matters landed on Rouge and then she pinned them both from that position at the same time! It was so awesome! The next time I talk to Viva I need to tell her how much I liked that finish.
FSW Heavyweight Champion Hammerstone defeated Juicy Finau
Afterward, I said hello again to AEW's Rick Knox who I know a little from PWG and who was in attendance watching the show and then me and my friend drove straight downtown to the Nerd Bar to see the remaining matches at the VxS show.
Results from the outdoors VxS show at the Nerd Bar:
I missed the first half of the show, but these are the matches I saw:
Brandon Gatson defeated Cole Radrick and Marcus Mathers.
Nick Wayne defeated Chris Bey
Psycho Clown defeated Jimmy Lloyd
Joey Janela defeated Santana Jackson
Drew Parke vs Arez ended in a no-decision. Drew Parker was cut so badly with a lighttube that the show had to stop. It looked really bad and I was extremely concerned for Drew Parker. I was told Joey Janela afterward sent out a message saying Drew Parker is OK but I would be surprised if he can not wrestle again this weekend. I think Drew Parker is awesome and I hope he is indeed OK.
During the show, I talked to Larry Legend who was this show's host and I got my copy of his card autographed. Larry also told me he loves what I wrote for him on the back of his card and that he occasionally gets messages from somoone saying he helped a wrestler such as AR Fox win a match. It was great talking to Larry Legend again tonight!
Tonight was Shows #25 and #26 for me in 22022. Shows #27, #28, and #29 will be tomorrow: AEW Rampage, FSW vs Wrestling Revolver, and BLP.
