Yes, I believe we did watch it at Night at the Matches one year Unfortunately, all copies of those tapes have not been destroyed.  Really enjoyed this episode and going through the match results. Brought back a lot of good memories. |

I loved this episode, fellas. So great hearing stories of the events and some, as expected, wonderful insights, laughs, and information from Tim. I think I first read about the fan fests in 97 or 98 and I remember thinking how amazing an opportunity like that must have been. Definitely feels a bit never before and never again. The time and place allowed for something that simply would not have been possible a few years before and certainly hasn’t seen it’s like since. Sure there are events that come close - maybe - but nothing quite like it. Loved hearing about the first and hope to hear more down the road!

Brought back a lot of good memories. ................. I'm sure that was a cool experience. Stepping into a wrestling ring is one of the most dangerous things a person can do. Literally stepping in the ring. It's not like a baseball diamond or a football field, you can blow out a knee just walking the wrong way. There's no way that kind of event would happen today. |

We had a wrestler blow out their knee vaulting over the ropes into the ring. They landed wrong and I immediately knew things were bad. Just the way he planted his foot looked messed up. |

BUT Tournament Master that doesn't mean we can all pitch in $10 (or whatever attendees would like to or can afford to donate) to see it again! I mean, it's BETTER than GRUNT! (not by much...). Even though TDalton almost did recreate the scene in which Skull Crusher's head goes flying! |
