The Royal Wrestling Alliance in conjunction with the World Territory Wrestling AllianceIt is Pro-Wrestling This Week, with hosts Gordon Solie and Bill Apter. We've got some very good wrestling from the Pacific Coliseum in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This week's matches feature not one but two four star matches from the Tag Team Tournament, that you should enjoy immensely. First Round Tag MatchDon Leo Jonathan & Yukon Eric overcome SGT Slaughter & JJ Dillon - ****This was a long (very fun to roll) match that had Slaughter and Eric take a ton of punishment. DLJ finally finishes Slaughter with the Morman Swing. As the Canadians are getting their hands raised, the Americans attack from behind. Killer Kowalski storms out to the ring and a brawl is underway between these two titans. Nick Bockwinkel defeats Bill Mulkey, Randy Mulkey and Iron Mike Sharpe - * 1/2Bockwinkel uses three moves to defeat Bill and three more to defeat Randy, but Mike Sharpe nearly pulls off a massive upset nearly pinning the "Eighth Wonder of the World" twice. Bockwinkle wins, but Sharpe looks strong heading into his chance at the RWA Title next week. First Round Tag MatchThe Bolsheviks (Smirnoff & Kollof) are upset by The Unstopables (Mike Jackson & Nacho Barrera) - ** 1/2Long match. (You can't script a better match if you try.) Smirnoff delivers four delayed pump suplexes (adding plus ones) in a row to Mike Jackson, but just can't get the pin to put him away. Barrera gets the tag and holds his own. After Koloff is tagged in, he delivers his Russian Sickle finisher but before he can try for the pin (and a roll on Outside Interference) sees Sputnik Monroe slip over the barricade and distract the ref and Thunderbolt Patterson sneaks in on the other side to give the Head Butt to Koloff. Barrera with the pin. The Russians are furious. The crowd is ecstatic! Baron Von Raschke toys with Big Bully Busick - 1/2The Baron lets Busick get a little bit of offense in and then slaps the claw on it's over. In an interview after, The Baron states that he is putting his sights on the best in RWA and what we just saw in the ring is all the people need to know. Mad Dog Vachon falls to Nikolai Volkoff - ** 1/2This match is all Vachon, until a desperate Volkoff slips outside the ring and smashes Vochon into the steel pole. He rolls the downed Dog into the ring. Delivers his backbreaker drop, Pin, Win. Leaving Vachon very angry in the ring and the fans oddly in favor of Volkoff. I think there are those unsure if they should be cheering the Communist. RWA Heavyweight Championship DefensePat Patterson dominates and retains over SD Jones - * 1/2SD survives longer than expected, but make no mistake, this is all Patterson. Both shake in a show of Honor after. Bobby Henann comes out mock applauding after. First Round Tag match - Feud Match - Fought under Trios Elimination style rulesBruiser Brody & Ox Baker (plus Bad News Allen) overcome Killer Khan & George Steele (plus Gorilla Monsoon) - **** 1/2!This was a marathon of a match with lots of action early before even the first pin attempt was attempted. Early, Bruiser Brody delivered a ton of punishment to to Gorilla Monsoon. After a desperation pin, OX Baker and George Steele battle back and forth with Steele steeling the pin (on Snake Eyes) roll up. Brody then comes back in and quickly pins Steele, before Baker is even to the back.. so, back he comes and a brawl that takes them all around the arena begins. Khan would then, eventually, pin Brody (with a roll of doubles) and leaving Bad News Allen to take on a nearly un-hurt Khan and somewhat battered Monsoon alone. Allen battles Khan for a long time and pushes Khan to the near limit, but tags out before the pin, only to get Monsoon pinned with-in seconds. Monsoon is now angry at Khan AND Allen and trashes the ring side area while the last two are battling. Even Mr. Fuji can't calm him down. The ensuing battle (takes forever) eventually resulting in a Ghetto Blaster to a so battered Khan that the ref calls for a stoppage (over 12 for the roll.) Thanks to Bad News Allen, Baker and Brody advance. Commissioner Frank Tunney is seen looking very unhappy and talking to Pacific Coliseum execs about the damage made from the Baker/Steele brawl and Monsoon freak out. The Pacific Coliseum is going to need a bit of work before Canuck's Hockey next week. That's all we've got for you wrestling fans. Some really good wrestling this week. Next could be just as strong as with great second round tag tournament matches, a heavyweight title defense and more. Here are the top five rankings as put out by Bill Apter and Pro-Wrestling Illustrated: RWA Heavyweight Champion: Pat Patterson1. Killer Kowalski2. Bad News Brown3. Don Leo Jonathan4. Nikolai Volkoff5. Iron Mike Sharpe
Thanks Wrestling Fans, see you next week!

Royal Wrestling Alliancein conjunction with the World Territory Wrestling Alliance Pro-Wrestling This WeekGordon Solie and Bill Apter bringing the best from The Forum in Montreal, Quebec, CanadaLots of big action, so, let's get to it! Semi-Final Tag Team Tournament MatchBruiser & Crusher defeat The Unstopables (Mike Jackson & Nacho Barrera) - SquashThe time it took to get to the ring was longer than the match. Again, the cinderella story is stopped. Nick Bockwinkel over Mark Lewin - 1/2 a starBoring match. Bockwinkel, again announced as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," acts like a cat playing with a mouse. Lewin can't get anything going. Bobby Hennan is on commentary and shows a contract with the WTWA where Bockwinkel has a shot at the World Title. Hennan hints that he needs to see if he can get this transfered to the RWA. Semi-Final Tag Team Tournament MatchThe Sheepherders (Luck and Butch) fall to the team of Sputnik (Monroe) & Thunderbolt (Patterson) - **Luke and Thunderbolt fight forever in a real back and forth battle, but it is Sputnik pinning Butch for the win. Lots of pushing and shoving after the match. There could be bad blood growing here. Commissioner Frank Tunney holds press conference to address growing issues between Bad News Allen and Gorilla Monsoon. Both are at opposite ends of a table (maybe a left over one from last week's table match.) He wants to make sure that the blood feud between the two of them is finished. He threatens suspensions to the two of them or expulsion to Mr. Fuji if he doesn't get him monsters under control. Bad News, who slumps during most of the tongue lashing, gets up towards the end and starts to walk out. Tunney starts yelling at Bad News and Mr. Fuji points his cane at him in mock authority. Bad News snaps and fly into a rage and over the table at Fuji. Monsoon, who has said nothing and been very still through the proceedings, grabs Allen and puts him through the table. Fuji laughs and the two leave. Semi-Final Tag Team Tournament MatchThe Vachons (Butcher & Mad Dog) drop (Bruiser) Brody & (Ox) Baker - *Brody and Baker are distracted by what had just happened to their ally and the Vachons take full advantage to advance. Feud Re-MatchKiller Kowalski falls to SGT Slaughter - ***A very good match. "Even better than its star rating!" says Bill Apter. Lots and Lots of back and forth. No interference, during the match. However, after, as Slaughter is berating the ref for not raising his hand, J.J. Dillon prepares to enter the ring and attack the downed and defeated Kowalski.. From the stands comes Montreal native Dino Bravo for the save. Kowalski thanks him and he holds Bravo's hand high. The Montreal crowd goes wild. Semi-Final Tag Team Tournament MatchThe Flying Red Heads (Billy Lyons & Red Bastien) defeated.. Upset? by Yukon Eric & Don Leo Jonathan - **There was a lot of Mormon Giant excitement in this match. Jonathan is nearly done for, but sneaks a Swing and applies a quick pin for the win. Don Leo and Eric steal one. RWA Heavyweight Championship DefensePat Patterson overcomes "Iron" Mike Sharpe - ** The result is as you expect, but Sharpe turns the tables late to nearly pull off the victory. Patterson quickly recovers and slaps the Boston Crab for the win. The two shake hands after the match and as Sharpe is headed back towards the curtain, he is attacked by Big Bully Busick. Patterson leaves the ring to go to his defense, but... It's A Trap! Dillon and Slaughter attack the champ! As Patterson is down, Slaughter calls him a maggot and that his title will soon be his!" That's the show. Lots of developing stories we'll get back to next week. Join us then.

The Royal Wrestling Alliance (card 10) In conjunction with the World Territory Wrestling AlliancePro-Wrestling This Week. Your hosts Gordon Solie and Bill ApterBringing you the action from The Manitoba Arena in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Lots of fantastic matches leading us to what is being called "Coronation II" outdoors in Hamilton; Tickets on sale now. Block A Tag Team Tournament FinalsCrusher & Bruiser top Don Leo Jonathan & Yukon Eric - ***1/2They hadn't been tested yet in the tournament and overcame a very tough Jonathan and Eric. There was a lengthy early back and forth between DLJ and Bruiser, but neither can get a pin fall attempt. In comes Eric and though it took awhile, the tide is squarely in the Canadians favor with three near falls on Crusher. After Skaaland interferes and switches that tide. After Bruiser drops two knees in a row to Eric and an attempted interference from Terrible Ted (The Wrestling Bear) and pin save attempt from DLJ. Bruiser gets the win for the team. Crowd is livid. The Americans advance to the championship. Nick Bockwinkel over S.D. Jones - SquashThis is beyond boring of a match. Bobby Hennan is again on commentary and regaling the audience about Bockwinkel's status of being the "eighth wonder of the world" and his contract for a world title shot. Feud Re-match"Iron" Mike Sharpe vs. Big Bully Busick - Double DisqualificationThis match goes for some time before both get outside the ring and the match breaks down. The Ref calls for bell and that only seems to make the two more angry at each other. This starts to get really nasty and help from the back is called. (Not expected to see this develop into a major match in the future.) Feud MatchDino Bravo & Killer Kowalski tops SGT Slaughter & JJ Dillon - **Pat Patterson stays at ringside and appears on guest commentary. Nice longer back and forth with great tags in and out. Crowd very much enjoys the finish of KK pinning Slaughter, who had been jawing with Patterson during the match, is yelling after that this isn't over. Commissioner Frank Tunney announces the big outdoor event at Ivor Wynne Stadium in Hamilton, Onterio. Then pivots to his suspensions on Mr. Fuji, George Steel, Killer Khan, Bruiser Brody, Ox Baker, Gorilla Monsson and Bad News Allen. All will be back in Hamilton, where Allen and Monsoon will be in a sealed Steel Cage. Tunney announces that he is working on getting some special enforcement as well. Nikolai Volkoff just overcomes Mark Lewin - ** 1/2Volkoff asks the crowd to stand for the singing of the Soviet National Anthem, however, the crowd boos fiercely! This makes Volkoff rather unhappy, but sings on. LONG Match. The much favored Volkoff barely escapes. Lewin, who has been on the wrong side of the ledger lately, looks very good in the loosing effort. Volkoff shakes his head after, unhappy at his perceived poor performance. Bill Apter, notes "Very much Perceived, as Volkoff has won nearly all his matches and is a near number one contender for Patterson's belt." As Volkoff is leaving, Ivan Koloff is being announced for his match. Both, who have not been seen together in some time, stop and chat for a decent length - to the irritation of the ref. They shake hands and seem to.. come to an agreement? No one is sure as no one speaks Russian. Ivan Koloff drops a very close one to Baron Von Rashke - *** 1/2An absolutely fantastic match! Rashke wins with a running knee strike. Koloff is furious after. Red Bastien bests Mike Jackson - **Jackson puts up a much better match than expected. Nearly pulls off huge upset late. After, Nacho Barrera - the other half of the Unstoppables - challenges the Flying Redheads to a match. Block B Tag Team Tournament FinalsThe Vachons (Mad Dog & Butcher) defeat Thunderbolt & Sputnik - **This was fairly quick. Mad Dog was crazy and full on attack, looking very strong.. Apter, "This could be a singles contender if he wants." Alexis Smirnoff stops by commentary and is distracting to Sputnik Monroe. RAW Heavyweight Championship Title DefensePat Patterson easily beats Stan Stasiak - * 1/2Not to much to say. Short and all Patterson. Wins with Boston Crab. Apter notes, "Commissioner Tunney has let me know that in Toronto next week, Nikolai Volkoff will face off against Baron Von Rashke and the winner will get the heavyweight title shot in Hamilton. It'll be Patterson's first real strong test."
Get your tickets for Hamilton's out door super show, in just two weeks. That's all for this week. Next we'll have a brand new super star appearing as well as a lot of contract signings and plenty of great wrestling action.

Lyons tag team partner, Red Bastein, tries to interfere on behalf, but to no avail. Bockwinkel has the win nearly in hand, but outcomes THE REAL Eighth Wonder of the World, Andre The Giant. Match gets out of hand as Andre attacks Bockwinkel. Bobby Heenan pulls his wrestler to safety. Tunney confirms the two will face each other next week for the title of the TRUE Eighth Wonder. Grudge Re-MatchThe Unstoppables (Nacho Battera & Mike Jackson) fall to The Bolsheviks (Koloff & Smirnoff) - *This is a re-match demanded by the Soviets after a previous upset, with help from Thunderbolt and Sputnik. Nacho tries.. but can't withstand the Russian Sickle. Koloff looks unhinged as he screams in Russian. Delivers another Russian Sickle, this time on Mike Jackson, brings out Sputnik, saying "Enough. You want us, you got us next week." Contract Signing of Cage MatchBad News Allen and Gorilla Monsoon, with Mr. Fuji, come out to a table in the ring. Allen tells Monsoon that he'll destroy him. Fuji says sign the contract and we'll see if you even make it to the match. With that Killer Khan and George Steele come out and surround ring side... this of course brings Brusier Brody and Ox Baker. Brawl begins. During the confusion, Allen signs and then takes the pen, attacks Monsoon with it and then slides out of the ring. Monsson recovers, wrecks the table and signs the contract. Frank Tunney in studio comments that there is no way this match can take place in its current way. He is going to lock the animals inside a sealed steel cage. Preventing any outside interference. Greg "The Hammer" Valentine wrecks S.D. Jones - * 1/2This is a showcase of new comer Greg Valentine's talents. S.D. holds out decently long, but eventually a second figure four is put on and Jones has to tap. He is helped from the ring. Don Leo Jonathan outlasts Mark Lewin - ***** plusAn amazing match. Five tokens for Jonathan and seven tokens for Mark Lewin. Lewin survives pin attempts at 9, 10 and 11! On the fourth Mormon Swing of the match, Lewin passes out and the Referee calls for a stoppage. Lewin needs some time to recover and multiple refs to get to the back. After the match, Jonathan is interviewed and says that it was a true war and very impressed with Lewin's fortitude. Grudge MatchThunderbolt Patterson beats Luke Williams - *Good back and forth with no pin attempts for some time, when Patterson finally nails Luke with a headbutt and PIN. As Patterson has his hand raised, Williams recovers and attacks. As Butch Miller enters the ring, Koloff and Smirnoff hit the ring and attack Sputnik, who was on commentary and entering the ring. Both T-Bolt and Monroe are injured. Commissioner Tunney says in studio that Bolt and Sputnik demanded a match against both. I was hesitant, but have allowed it and it'll be next week. To determine who will face the RWA Heavyweight Champion Pat Patterson Baron Von Raschke stomped by Nikolai Volkoff - squashBooing to the Soviet National Anthem starts the match, but now Volkoff is joined by New Bolshevik Boris Zukoff. Volkoff has near total domination shocker. Match gets outside the ring and Volkoff smashes Raschke into the post. As the ref admonishes him, Zukoff rolls Raschke into the ring and Volkoff delivers his backbreaker drop and covers for the pin. Looks REALLY strong. Patterson is on commentary and says it is going to be a big hard fight. That's all for this week.. Next, it'll be what is being called "The Coronation II" and see the new RWA Tag Team Champion crowned in a match between The Crusher/The Bruiser versus The Vachons. The Heavyweight title defended and of course the sealed cage match between Bad News Allen and Gorilla Monsoon. Andre The Giant versus Nick Bockwinkel for the title of The Eighth Wonder of the World a Major Feud match between Killer Kowalski and SGT Slaughter a coin flip challenge between Thunderbolt Patterson/Sputnik Monroe and first either the Sheepherders or the Bolsheviks, then the other if they survive. Iron Mike Sharpe versus Big Bully Busick in a first blood match. All this and more!

The Royal Wrestling Alliance - in conjunction with the World Territory Wrestling Alliance - Presents: This Week in Wrestling with Gordon Solie and Bill Apter On this week's show, we bring you the huge outdoor event from last week being dubbed " Coronation II." It was held Outdoor at Ivor Wayne Stadium in Hamilton, Ontario and saw a crowd of somewhere in the 30,000 people. Flying Redheads (Bastien & Lyons) beat D.L. Jonathan & Yukon Eric - ** 1/2Good Solid Opener. DLJ&YE commanded the match, but Bastien closes strong and gets the pin. Puts the Redheads back in the running for a future title shot. Greg Valentine destroys Stan Stasiak - * 1/2His hammer continues his destructive run through the RWA. The Hammer is unrelenting from the bell. Ends it fast with two figure fours and a falling elbow. As he has his hand raised, he yells at the commentary booth, "just so you understand I mean business." He drops and applies the figure four on the recovering Stasiak and won't release it. Raymond Rougeau to ringside, but extreme damage has been done. Stasiak has to be carted from the ring, injured for sure. Coin Flip Challenge matchThunderbolt & Sputnik (Patterson and Monroe) defeat first The Sheepherders and then loose to the Bolsheviks by DQ - ** 1/2In the coin flip it was supposed to just be T-bolt and Sputnik versus the Herders, but the Bolsheviks only go to the curtain and wait. A good match that sees the Herders dominate the match however fall when Sputnik gets the late hot tag and then destroy Luke Williams. After, Sputnik welcomes the Bolsheviks to the ring for their match. They are lured in, the bell rings and T-Bolt smashes Smirnoff in the face w/ a chair. In the after match interview, Patterson tells the Russians their will be more for them where that came from. Feud Match - Raymond Rougeau (Mountie) at ringsideKiller Kowalski falls to SGT Slaughter - **Slaughter takes over after early KK offense and never lets up. Slaughter looks to do more damage but Dino Bravo steps in and saves Kowalski. However, Slaughter has a reinforcement in the person of Ron Fuller. Huge brew-ha-ha in the ring. Feud Match - First Blood Match (first to 4 pin tokens) Iron Mike Sharpe overcomes Big Bully Busick - *** 1/2Some of the day's top cheers go to Iron Mike. Sharpe reaches three tokens without Busick getting any and comes back putting the real hurt on the Bully to win. Sharpe stands tall in the ring w/ the adulation of his home town. Grudge Match for the title of Eighth Wonder of the WorldNick Bockwinkel finally drops to Andre The Giant - *** Takes a lot longer than expected as Bockwinkel will not fall to the Giant. (Takes six pin tokens to finally pin him.) After, Heenan is interviewed saying this won't happen again. I'm in the works to make sure of it. Feud Match - Sealed Cage Match (using Circinus Cell match rules) - Rougeau at ringside Bad News Allen FALLS to Gorilla Monsoon - ****Sometimes you just can't make up stuff better than the dice give you. Match goes for some time before we even get to a pin fall attempt. As the two are brawling the cage breaks open and Bad News goes to the top. The Gorilla goes after and when up top a fight breaks out. Rougeau goes after, but before he can get a hold of either, Monsoon tosses Allen off the cage. The crowd goes silent as he smashes through the announce booth. Rougeau is stunned and the Gorrilla screams at the crowd, the announcers, the paramedics and the crumpled Bad News, all the while Mr. Fuji smiles. RWA Heavyweight Title DefensePat Patterson defeats Nikolai Volkoff - ****Very good match. Both wrestlers look and perform well. Odd ending as Volkoff attempts a deathjump, Patterson counters with a jumping knee smash and Volkoff cumples into a pin. The Soviet delegation comes out to collect their comrade. Koloff points at Patterson and then his title. Coronation for the RWA Tag Team TitleCrusher & Bruiser are defeated by The Vachon's (Butcher and Mad Dog) - ***The Crusher commands the start of the match, but once Mad Dog Vachon gets in the ring, business begins to pick up. Match ends with a piledriver on Crusher from Mad Dog. There is attempted interference by Skaaland, but a closeline from Butcher seals the deal and the New Champs stand tall to the cheering masses.
