It was 98 degrees today, 105 with the heat index, here in central Ohio. Power outages all over the city of Columbus the last two days and it's not even July yet. Gas prices, food shortages - good times.

Not sure actual temp or heat index but it has been staying in mid 90s with heat index in low 100s thanks to high humidity. No rain so far today after getting some every day for a few. It is rainy season down here in FL. People always talk about how hot it gets here but it almost NEVER gets above mid or high 90s in actual temp and the temp swings in the year are not as bad as the Midwest. I mean the difference between low low and high high in a year in FL is maybe 55-60. In the Midwest it could be as around 100-110. Oh and as I am typing this I hear thunder outside. Not sure if we will get rain. Might just be heat thunder. Try and stay cool KB.

Currently 112 degrees here in Las Vegas but with only 5% humidity. It usually gets to at least 120 degrees here in July but it is a dry heat so it really does not bother me at all.

When I hear dry heat, I think of Walter (Jeff Dunham's puppet) and bonfires. "Don't worry, it's a dry heat."

It's the power outrages that is complicating the record high temperatures. I thought monopolies were illegal? I guess someone forgot about AEP. If Tesla had his way, we'd all have free electricity and there would have been cell phones back in the 1950s. Instead he was discredited and his life's work stolen upon his death. You can't have something for free that they can charge you an arm and a leg for.

high of 87, with the heat index somewhere near 90 today here pretty close to smack dab in the middle of the triangle area between DC, Baltimore, & Annapolis. We have had our share of hot & humid so far, but after so many years in MS, honestly not sure what hot and humid is anymore...
Supposed to get some thunderstorms tomorrow which will help cool it off but then a forecast of 94 with the heat index pushing 100+ on Friday!
(Not that I want to jinx it, we are NOT supposed to break 80 over the weekend, with no rain forecast AND that my fellow Promoters, would be AWESOME!!!

When I hear dry heat, I think of Walter (Jeff Dunham's puppet) and bonfires. "Don't worry, it's a dry heat." I am not trying to downplay dry heat, but it just definitely does not bother me personally as much as places that are both hot and humid. For example, after going to Galacticon in Philadelphia in 2016, I flew to St. Louis for a couple of days before going home and the humidity in St. Louis gave me some issues (even more so than the humidity in New Orleans.)

Oh I know, Zeke. Dry Heat is definitely better than humid heat.
