World Fight League (WFL) will debut 3 different rosters of wrestlers, from 3 different locations. Each league will present fight cards from their home base, following the leadership of a commissioner assigned to each league. Let's take an in-depth look at the Los Angeles brand roster. The L.A. brand will feature figters mostly from the West Coast, Mexico, and the Southwest. This brand is unique, due to the no-dq/no countout rules. The L.A. brand also will host the WFL Cruiserweight Division. Let's take a closer look at roster for the L.A. brand:
Bruiser Brody Dan Severn Vampiro Rob Van Dam Konnan Manny Fernandez Don Leo Jonathan Tully Blanchard Dutch Savage Adrian Adonis Yukon Eric Stan Hansen Nick Bockwinkel Pepper Gomez Dick Hutton
And the stars of the Cruiserweight Division:
Jerry Brisco Mikey Whipwreck Bill Dundee Danny Hodge Les Thatcher Dynamite Kid Juventud Guerrera Antonino Rocca
The first L.A. card will feature Juventud Guerrera vs Dynamite Kid, and a main event of Rob Van Dam vs Bruiser Brody. As we look into the future, we will share more news on the two other leagues in WFL, located in New York, and the U.K. Also, more details will surface soon on how these leagues will interact with each other, as well as the crowning of our inaugural WFL Heavyweight Champion.

World Fight League: Los Angeles, California 1. Dynamite Kid vs Juventud Guerrera The first match in WFL history does not disappoint, as these two show out. Kid survives a 450 splash to eventually win with a tombstone piledriver. The crowd shows its appreciation with standing applause for both athletes! Tokens: Kid 4 Juvi:2 ***stars
2. Vampiro vs Mikey Whipwreck Whipwreck gives Vampiro all he can handle and then some! Mikey got early pinfalls on Vampiro, but Vampiro hits NAIL IN THE COFFIN off the 2nd turnbuckle to finish Whipwreck! Tokens: Vampiro:3 Mikey: 5 ***1/2 stars
3. Nick Bockwinkel vs Konnan Konnan gets dominated by a superior Bockwinkel in this match-up. Bockwinkel tried twice to finish off Konnan with a sleeper but hits a nasty piledriver to pick up the win. Tokens: Bockwinkel: 1 Konnan:6 **1/2 stars
4. Dan Severn vs Antonino Rocca Severn applies tremendous pressure throughout, using a variety of suplexes and throws. A belly-to-belly throw secures the win for the former UFC fighter. Tokens: Rocca:3 **stars
5. Tully Blanchard vs Dick Hutton Hutton secures victory in this bout, using the Oklahoma side roll. Tokens: Hutton: 3 Blanchard: 2**1/2 stars
6. Rob Van Dam vs Bruiser Brody RVD uses the L.A. brand fight rules to his advantage early (no count-out, no DQ) early on, as much of his offense came from outside of the ring. But Brody comes from behind, to pick up the win in our first main event, using a JUMPING KNEE DROP to secure the victory!!! Tokens: RVD:4 Brody:6 ****stars
Post-match, Vampiro comes out to the top of the ramp, and gives Brody the slit throat sign! Is this a foreshadowing of things to come in WFL: L.A.??
Post-show news and notes: The L.A. version of WFL will be the home of cruiserweights. Also, to make itself different from its counterparts in New York and the UK, the L.A. brand will not enforce any DQs or count-outs, so we should expect some craziness!
Dave Meltzer, David Arquette, Tim Allen, Magic Johnson, and a host of UFC fighters were in attendance. The UFC fighters showed much love and support to Severn during his match. Next up, WFL: UK!!!!

World Fight League: London, England
UK commissioner Austin Idol opens the show. Idol swears that we e was offered a commissioner's job, he swears he was promised the L.A. brand. He absolutely despises this country, and these fans! He wants to be entertained by the end of the night by this roster he has been given, if not, he will take action to improve the product! The fans boo mercilessly!
Jim Londos vs Bob Roop We see glimpses of a promising match, but it is cut short, as both men fall out of the ring, and Londos can not get back in the ring before the refs ten count! Winner via count-out: Bob Roop Tokens: Roop:2
-Backstage, we see Lou Thesz warming up doing a wall squat, as he will be in te main event!
Yusuf Ismail vs Ilio Dipaolo Ismail hits Dipaolo with the neck wrencher several times, and Ilio is forced to submit! Winner via submission: Yusuf Ismail Tokens: Ismail:1 Dipaolo:5
-We head to the back, as we see Bob Backlund walking to the ring for his match, as its up next!
Bob Backlund vs Baron Von Raschke Backlund shows off his technical expertise in this match, pummeling Baron with suplexes, and wind-up forearms. Backlund uses ROLLING BACKBRIDGE to secure the pinfall victory. Winner via pinfall: Bob Backlund Tokens: Von Raschke: 3
Lou Thesz vs John Pesek This ends up a squash, as Thesz hits the THESZ PRESS for the victory almost immediately! Winner: Lou Thesz
Austin Idol is back out, and he says this is the worst wrestling show he has ever seen! WFL wanted to create a pure wrestling league with the UK brand, and tricked him into even being here! Idol talked with the WFL reps, and they will not let him out of his contract, he has to be here! So, if they won't let him go, he will just burn the whole damn brand down to the ground! Thesz is attacked from behind! It's Big Van Vader!!! Samoan Drop delivered to Thesz, then a VADER BOMB!!! Jim Cornette and Mr. Hughes are ringside, cheering on the actions of Vader! Idol is up at the top of the entrance ramp laughing as we conclude our show!

***Thanks Dustin for reading!***
WFL: New York
The New York based brand for WFL will contain some of the bigger personalities of the WFL. The NY brand, with these personalities, will focus more on the entertainment aspect of professional wrestling, setting itself apart from the UK brand, which is more serious, and the LA brand, which has more high-flying athletes, and is a little looser with the rules. Teddy Long has been offered, and has accepted, the position of Commissioner of the NY brand, and his first hire was referee Morgan Dollar, who will serve as senior referee for the NY brand. Teddy Long has a few comments to make before he releases the names on his initial roster for the New York brand.
Long: "Holla Holla Holla everybody"! I'm just as excited to see the New York brand spring into action as the fans of pro wrestling are. I promise to try to give you the best entertainment that WFL has to offer, and you know i don't play around, so if you mess with me, i might just put you in a tag team main event, against the biggest and baddest i can find! We will not just have wrestlers running around doing whatever they want, like the LA brand, and we definitely will not be the snoozefest that the UK version is! The 3 brands will eventually have one World Champion to represent the WFL, and i firmly believe that wrestler will be from the New York brand!!!
Initial WFL NY roster:
Roddy Piper Bobo Brazil Jim Duggan Gorilla Monsoon Don Muraco Ted Dibiase Diamond Dallas Page Curt Hennig George Steele Shane Douglas Nikolai Volkoff Bob Orton, Jr Koko B. Ware Sandman Al Snow D-Lo Brown Justin Credible Virgil Val Venis
And last, but not least: Randy "Macho Man" Savage
Also, WFL: NY is in serious negotiations with another superstar, who may or may not make the first TV taping. Did we mention the main event of the first show will be Roddy Piper vs Bobo Brazil?

World Fight League: New York
The commissioner of the New York brand is Teddy Long! Teddy welcomes us to the best brand of WFL, certainly the most exciting! Long believes firmly that the first WFL Champion will come from his brand. Long believes that the NY brand is superior to the boring UK brand, and that trash brand of L.A.! He says he has all kinds of surprises lined up, and he can't waiti to share them all!
This brings out Curt Hennig, with his manager, Bobby Heenan. Hennig says Teddy Long is a fraud, he should be scheduling his airfare, and not a whole brand of the WFL! Heenanays it's a disgrace not to have Hennig on the first card! Teddy says he is tired of the complaining, Hennig will be on the first card, in the first match, agains the biggest wrestler on the NY roster: Gorilla Monsoon!
1. Mr. Perfect w/Heenan vs Gorilla Monsoon Hennig impresses everyone in the building, as he Monsoon very early with the HENNIG PLEX for the win! Tokens: Monsoon: 2 *snake eyes* -Post-match: Bob Orton, Jr attacks Monsoon, along with Hennig, they leave him lying in the middle of the ring! Monsoon recovers, and challenges Orton Jr to a fight, will he accept?
2. Diamond Dallas Page vs Shane Douglas Douglas wins this via count-out, after he hits Page with BELLY TO BELLY SUPLEX on the floor, and DDP can not answer the 10 count! Tokens: Douglas: 3
3. Don Muraco w/Bobby Heenan vs Jim Duggan Duggan gives Muraco all he can handle, including several pin attempts, but Muraco wins with the HAWAIIAN HAMMER. Tokens: Duggan: 4 Muraco: 6 -Post-match: Heenan calls out Hennig, and Orton Jr, and the 3 beat down Duggan! Muraco hits ASIATIC SPIKE twice on Duggan!
4. Roddy Piper vs Bobo Brazil Very evenly paced match, as Brazil pulls out the win with COCO BUTT! Tokens: Piper: 3 Brazil:2
Post-match, in a sign of respect, Piper shakes the hand of Brazil. This leads to the Heenan Family of Hennig, Muraco, and Orton Jr running to the ring, attacking both men! The lights go out! The lights go out!! Lights are back on! It's Kurt Angle!! OLYMPIC SLAM to Orton Jr, OLYMPIC SLAM to Muraco, ANKLE LOCK on Hennig!!! He's tapping! Crowd is going wild! As the Heenan family leaves the ring, Teddy Long meets them on the ramp. Long: If you would not have interrupted at the beginning of the show, i would have told you about Kurt Angle being traded to the New York brand! At the next NY show, Angle will make his in ring debut, vs Bob Orton, Jr!!! HOLLA HOLLA!

WFL review by Crave Seltzer
WFL: L.A.
The L.A. show was awesome, and will probably be the fan favorite of the 3. Mixing a brand with the cruiserweights, and the almost free for all fighting (no-DQ, no-countout) really makes for a faster pace show, with some craziness. The names to watch in this fed are Brody, Severn, Adonis, Dynamite Kid, Bockwinkel, and Vampiro. They are going to use the Southwest to Pacific Northwest guys, and they will eventually break into Mexico, as L.A. barely nudged Mexico City and Las Vegas as the home for this brand. No commissioner or matchmaker, as of yet, and I think they will stay that course for a little bit, but I have heard some names, so we will see. We know they made a swing at a trade for Roddy Piper, to get a solid promo guy, but New York pulled off getting Kurt Angle and are fine staying pat after that move.
WFL: UK
This is the brand that will get major upheaval after its first show. I mean, it was so boring, they almost reshot the entire show. Towards the end, they decided to have Austin Idol, who was going to be in charge anyway, basically bury the wrestlers on the show earlier. Vader and his company were not expected for weeks, but they decided to have Vader attack Thesz to end the show. Now, you got Vader, this big bruiser, along with Jim Cornette, who can get monster heat. They left money on the table I think, trading Angle, when they could have had Angle/Vader as a big, big match. But, they are happy with what they are getting back, and with a draft, and a free agency signing period in the future, this brand will be modified, by all accounts. They still have Thesz, Backlund, Davey Boy, and Finlay, whom management is high on, so the cupboard isn't bare.
WFL: NY
This is the brand with the big names, and now feel worthy of being in New York. With all the star power in Piper, Savage, Hennig, and Brazil, then you add Angle, it's insane. I mean, at least one of those has to go to the UK for Angle, right? We have heard a rumor about how a future draft compensation could work, also. The main thing coming out of the first show was establishing the Heenan Family of Muraco, Orton Jr, and Hennig. That Muraco/Duggan match was the second-best match out of all 3 shows, right behind RVD/Brody. But this is where the big, marquee matches will be, it looks like. Teddy Long is that veteran leader that you need, so I expect big things out of them.

***Breaking***
World Fight League since its inception, has strived to be different from the rest. The latest example of that is when the WFL threw the 3 leagues in a randomizer, to allow 1 brand the chance to sign a free agent to their respective brand!
Earlier in the day, in the WFL offices located in an undisclosed location, the randomizer selected the WFL: L.A. brand as the winner! After notifying the offices in L.A. about winning the right to sign and debut a free agent, the immediate response was that the free agent they are signing will debut in their next show, in the main event, versus Rob Van Dam!
Tune in to our next WFL: L.A. show!
