IPW All Is Fair '22 Tour
2022.Aug.08 Muscatine County Fairgrounds, West Liberty, IA
Commentary: Arik Cannon & Heidi Lovelace
Ring Announcer: Chad Olson
Referees: Brent Filmore, Christian Hansen & Joey Jojo
PART ONE
BRIAN PILLMAN JR (w/ Su Yung) def. Ninja Mack. **1/2
- Pillman pinned Mack after a DIRE PROMISE. -- Tokens: Pillman 1 - Mack 3
- Before Chad Olson could finish the introductions, Mack and Pillman started trading blows out on the floor. Pillman rammed Mack into the rails as the referee called for the match to begin. <Mack started on the 'out of the ring' chart.>
- Relying on cheap tactics, Pillman maintained the advantage until Darby Allin made a surprise appearance at ringside. A confrontation between Allin and Yung briefly distracted the referee, allowing Pillman to stun Mack with a blow from his walking stick!
SAMMY GUEVARA def. Ugly. **
- Guevara pinned Ugly <deathjump> after a shooting star press from the top rope. -- Tokens: Ugly 4
- Ugly cut a promo before the opening bell, calling out Guevara for being an arrogant coward. Guevara laughed at the remarks and replied that Ugly was going to finally see what it was like to compete against an actual entertainer.
- Angered by Guevara's attitude, Ugly was unable to remain focused on the task at hand.
IRONBEAST (KTB & Shane Mercer) def. Ace Austin & Madman Fulton. **
- Mercer pinned Austin after a discus lariat. -- Tokens: Austin 5
- Ironbeast cut a promo before the opening bell, putting over the company and proclaiming that they were hungry for some real competition. Austin & Fulton rushed the ring, leading to a wild brawl! Gaining the upper hand, Austin wiped out KTB with a dive through the ropes while Fulton hammered Mercer with a series of unforgiving blows. <Mercer started on Level 3 Defense.>
- Despite a strong start, Austin & Fulton were unable to sustain their momentum. KTB & Mercer trapped Austin in a corner with some effective teamwork and prevented him from making a much needed tag. Bleeding from a gash above his eyes, Austin did not appear pleased with Fulton's inability to make the save.
EFFY def. Danhausen. dud
- Effy pinned Danhausen after a butterfly suplex. -- Tokens: Danhausen 1
- Danhausen wasted time playing to the crowd and he paid for his lack of attention.
1 CALLED MANDERS def. Keith Lee. ***
- Manders pinned Lee <outside interference counter> when Strickland tried to break up a near fall and Manders smashed their heads together. -- Tokens: Mander 2 - Lee 3
- This grudge match moved at a very deliberate pace as these two men traded heavy blows. Strickland made an appearance to support his tag team partner, but a botched assist provided Manders with the opening he needed to grab the win.
DARK SHEIK & EDITH SURREAL def. Team PAWG (Jordynne Grace & Lufisto) in a Best of 3 Falls match to retain the IPW Ladies Tag Team Championship. ****
- 1st fall: Grace pinned Surreal after teaming with Lufisto for a WEAPON OF ASS DESTRUCTION. -- Tokens: Surreal 1
- 2nd fall: Surreal tapped out Grace with a VENUS DE MILO. -- Tokens: Sheik 1, Surreal 2 - Grace 4
- 3rd fall: Sheik pinned Grace after a WELCOME TO DIE! -- Tokens: Sheik 2, Surreal 7 - Grace 6
- This was a successful version one title defense.
- All four women delivered memorable performances in this marathon encounter. It seemed like Lufisto was going to cause some problems after the bell as she clutched onto the title belts. Following a whispered conversation with her partner, she agreed to shake hands with the reigning champions and departed without further incident.
INTERMISSION - Stay tuned for Part Two!
