Good stuff. Tough loss for Studd. Might be doing a little sliding after that loss in the title match. I suppose you've got the makings for a tag team feud here with the Conways against Studd and a partner of his choosing. A wrestler like Studd needs someone around him, in my opinion. Tag partners, manager, part of a stable (er, family). He doesn't work well alone. I believe that's one of the reasons his WWF return on the babyface side didn't work out. You're right that he's missing a manager or ally at ringside. Maybe it's time to bring in Superstar or Bundy to tag with him.

Both good choices. Right now I'm using the new Bundy with Studd for that purpose. The old Bundy is more used for territory stuff.

LWF Legacy of Gold 3.24 Gordon Solie and Jesse Venture welcome the fans to the show and plug the main event of Bob Backlund vs. Nikolai Volkoff with the LWF World Heavyweight title on the line. Ventura introduces the first match.
1. Garea & Zbyszko vs. The Longriders Zbyszko and Wild Bill start the match. Wild Bill gets some momentum going and Zbsyzko is able to tag out. Zbyszko and Garea hit a double dropkick for the win.
Winners - Garea & Zbyszko by pinfall
Gordon leaves the booth to talk to Ilio DiPaolo. DiPaolo says it was time to go solo but he has no ill will toward Red Lyons. DiPaolo says he’ll be fighting for the LWF World Heavyweight title in no time. DiPaolo takes his corner and Gordon heads back to the booth.
2. Ilio DiPaolo vs. Mr X DiPaolo nails Mr X with some big right hands and covers him for a two count. DiPaolo hoists Mr X up in the airplane spin and that’s all she wrote.
Winner - Ilio DiPaolo by submission
Ventura puts over DiPaolo. Gordon introduces the next match, wondering what Gentleman’s Rules entails.
3. Frank Gotch vs. Gorilla Monsoon - Gentleman’s Rules match (Vintage charts are used) Gotch gets the upper hand early on but Monsoon throws him all over the ring. Gotch recovers and locks on the Gotch Toehold for a quick win.
Winner - Frank Gotch by submission
Ventura and Solie crap on the match since Gentleman’s Rules never came into play. They introduce the next match.
4. Red Pepper vs. Texas Hangmen Bastien and Psycho start the match. Psycho gets some momentum going and the Hangmen hit the Hangman’s Backbreaker for a two count. The Hangmen hit a second Hangman’s Backbreaker for the win.
Winners - Texas Hangmen by pinfall
Ventura puts over the Texas Hangmen. Gordon leaves the booth to get a word with Sgt Slaughter. Slaughter says his time is coming soon and that LWF World Heavyweight little would look great around his waist. Austin Idol tries sneak attacking Sarge before their match but Sarge drills him with a Slaughter Cannon. Gordon scrambles back to the booth and the timekeeper rings the bell.
5. Sgt Slaughter vs. Austin Idol Slaughter locks on the cobra clutch and Idol quickly taps out.
Winner - Sgt Slaughter by submission
Solie says Sarge’s day is indeed coming. Ventura scoffs and introduces the main event.
6. Bob Backlund vs. Nikolai Volkoff - LWF World Heavyweight title match Volkoff attacks Backlund before the bell but the champ is soon in command. Backlund hits a delayed vertical suplex for a two count. Backlund hoists Volkoff up and hits an atomic drop for the win.
Winner - Bob Backlund by pinfall, his fourth title defense
Ventura and Solie thank the fans for tuning in. They sign off, reminding the fans that next week, The Blond Bombers will take on Race & Hennig for the LWF World Tag Team titles plus Adrian Adonis will lock up with Angelo Mosca.

LWF Legacy of Gold 3.25 Gordon Solie and Jesse Venture welcome the fans to the show and hype the main event of the Blond Bombers vs. Harley Race & Larry Hennig with the LWF World Tag Team titles on the line. Ventura introduces the first match.
1. Lyons & Destroyer vs. The Mulkeys Lyons and Bill start the match. Lyons easily takes control and hits rapid fire dropkicks but Bill is too close to the ropes to cover. Lyons tags in The Destroyer. The Destroyer locks on the Figure Four and Bill taps out.
Winners - Lyons & The Destroyer by submission
Ventura says it was an impressive win but it remains to be seen if Lyons & The Destroyer will be as effective as DiPaolo & Lyons were. Solie introduces the next match.
2. Mike DiBIase vs. Eric the Red DiBiase is unintimidated by Eric the Red’s unorthodox antics and gets the early advantage. Eric gets control and nails DiBiase with repeated knee smashes for a two count. Eric locks on the backbreaker but DiBiase won’t submit. DiBIase rallies and wears Eric down with a sleeper hold. Eric and DiBiase battle back and forth. Eric nails DiBiase with the bone twice. DiBiase makes a comeback and nails Eric with a series of punches for a two count. DiBiase wears Eric down with a sleeper. Eric rolls out of the ring and DiBiase goes out after him. The two men brawl outside the ring. Eric gets caught cracking DiBiase with the bone and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner - Mike DiBiase by DQ
Solie says DiBiase and Eric the Red will have a rematch in the near future. Ventura introduces the next match.
3. Tony Atlas vs. Rock Riddle Atlas has the early advantage but Riddle turns things around and hits a flying elbow drop for a two count. Atlas and Riddle battle on the outside. Atlas press slams Riddle into the front row and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner - Rock Riddle by DQ
Ventura says there must be something in the air. Solie introduces the next match.
4. Mad Dog Vachon vs. Tiger Conway Sr Mad Dog and Tiger battle back and forth. Vachon hits three Mad Dog Pounces but Tiger keeps fighting back. Tiger makes a comeback and nails Vachon with Let’s Twist and Head Butt for the win.
Winner - Tiger Conway Sr by pinfall
Gordon leaves the booth to get a word with Tiger Conway Sr. Conway says he’s having the run of his life and challenges Bob Backlund to a match for the LWF World Heavyweight title. The show goes to commercial. When it returns, Gordon is in the ring with Adrian Adonis. Adonis says Mosca doesn’t stand a chance and takes his corner. Gordon heads back to the booth as Angelo Mosca makes his way to the ring.
5. Adrian Adonis vs. Angelo Mosca Mosca dominates Adonis early on. Adons makes a comeback but Mosca shuts him down and hits an elbow drop for a two count. Mosca wears Adonis down and busts him open with an elbow smash to the face. Adonis hits a gut wrench backbreaker out of nowhere for a two count. Adonis locks on Goodnight Irene and Mosca taps out.
Winner - Adrian Adonis by submission
Ventura puts over Adonis’ performance. Solie announces that Bob Backlund has accepted Tiger Conway Sr’s challenge and the two men will lock up next week with the LWF World Heavyweight title on the line. A rematch between Mike DiBiase and Eric the Red has also been signed for next week. Ventura introduces the main event.
6. Blond Bombers vs. Race & Hennig - LWF World Tag Team title match Patterson and Hennig start the match. Patterson has Hennig on the mat in no time and goes to the top rope. Hennig drills him with the Axe in mid air and covers him for a two count. Hennig nails Patterson with the Axe. Stevens tries breaking the pin but Race clobbers him. Hennig hits The Axe again for the win.
Winners - Race & Hennig by pinfall. Race & Hennig are the new LWF World Tag Team champions!
Ventura says anything can happen in the ring. Solie signs off, telling the fans to tune in next week for Backlund vs. Conway for the LWF World Heavyweight title!
