Really enjoy these kinds of side projects... Kinda like a miniature career mode... Go Mr Backlund! Running a fed with all the cards we have is overwhelming to me and Backlund's run as champion always fascinated me - especially with the rogue's gallery of challengers he had. Always appreciate you stopping in sir.

First challenge conquered even with the controversy. He was in a whisper of losing...

Great idea, Kevin T. Butcher! Can't wait to see if Backlund can take care of the Russian Bear. My middle initial is not T, but I can be THE Butcher just for you. LOL The All-American Boy ALMOST lost to Graham; I'm hoping he has an easier time with Koloff - why I chose him next out of the remaining eleven.

The great thing about the game is even a machine like Backlund could lose if the rolls go wrong.

VS. RUSSIAN CHAIN MATCH 'THE ALL-AMERICAN BOY' BOB BACKLUND (C) vs. 'THE RUSSIAN BEAR' IVAN KOLOFF Backlund, never one to back down from a challenge accepted Koloff's challenge for a Russian chain match - going against Arnold Skaaland's advice. The champ looked focused and intense as the referee attached the chain to his wrist, as Koloff and manager Lou Albano looked on very confidently. The bell rang and the match started as a tug of war, both men using the chain to try and pull the other to the center of the ring. Backlund was the first to use the chain, as he wrapped it around his fist and punched the Russian bear in the forehead several times - busting him open. Bob quickly went to his finisher, the ATOMIC DROP but Ivan was able to get a foot on the bottom rope - breaking the count. The action went back and forth and even spilled to the floor several times, as both men used the chain to batter the other bloody! Koloff scored a near fall after a vicious RUSSAN SICKLE, but Bob was able to get a shoulder up at the very last second. With the champ down, Koloff went to the tope rope, looking for the same move that ended Pedro Morales' title reign, but Bob pulled him off the top by jerking the chain. Ivan crashed hard in the ring and the champ planted him with a Piledriver for the 1.2..3!!! WWWF CHAMPION(2-0)

Awesome win for the Machine there. The Russian Bear nearly took it but it wasn't enough.

After the match, Albano's newest find 'SUPERFLY' JIMMY SNUKA hit the ring and attacked Backlund with vicious kicks and chops. Snuka then climbed to the top and awed the fans with his incredible SUPERFLY LEAP - crushing the champ!!!
