Well, I was wrong with my prediction. That main event should be amazing. I did not know this but they mentioned during tonight's main event that Josh Alexander attended his first wrestling show in 2005 and Alex Shelley was on the card and it inspired him to sign up for wrestling training the very next day.

I did not know that either but I do know that on the last Impact it was brought up that he was a big fan of Shelley's. They used that in part of their promos of ripping on each other at the contract signing. It sounds like the contract signing was quite entertaining and did not need a brawl to do it.

I got to admit I was hoping Alex would win the World title. He could have had a short run, couple title defenses and then lose it back to Josh. As is, Josh retaining is fine. Now it is time to focus on who he will face at BFG.

Now it is time to focus on who he will face at BFG. It would have been cool to see Shelley win the title as Sabin has also won it, but I was not surprised Josh Alexander retained. As I mentioned, I will be missing Victory Road due to being in Los Angeles for GCW that night but I have actually already ordered Bound for Glory for the first Friday night in October. I saw who Josh Alexander is defending against at Bound for Glory as I accidentally ran into some spoilers from this weekend's TV tapings. My initial thought is that Alexander retains at Bound for Glory but I am looking forward to that match.
