I wonder when they are going to do the Moxley's title vs Gage's career match that just got set up? I could see that taking place in Chicago as Moxley will be there anyway that weekend for AEW but with War Games already happening that night (and that match obviously is not going to be on that weekend's earlier afternoon IWTV Settlement Series show) I could also definitely see it happening elsewhere. Possibly when GCW returns to Atlantic City in October? Yeah. Don’t know how that’s going to play out. Gage is looking better physically. Hopefully they’ll give him more time to get in shape. I dont think he could hang with Mox quite yet. Well on to the XPW show for tonight

If you can get Dem Boyz to be your tag champs you do it.

I do not follow the indies but I am taking it Los Macizos were the GCW Tag champions and lost to the Briscoes. If so, I bet Los Macizos win them back in a few weeks. Couple months at the most. It seems that since leaving ROH the Briscoes have been on a tear of winning titles everywhere to try and boost their legacy. Trying to get in the same area as the Dudley Boys and Road Warriors as having numerous titles in numerous promotions. It is why they had a short run with the Impact titles and I know they have one at least one other promotions title recently but I cannot recall who's it was. Since it is unlikely the Briscoes ever go to the E, for numerous reasons, this is how they are cementing their legacy.

Well it could be the Briscoes padding their legacy but I think it’s more of a statement about the GCW tag team titles being a game of musical chairs lately. This is the Briscoes third reign this year. And Los Macizos just won them on the last show. I chalk it up to the inscrutable booking of Brett Lauderdale.

Martin, I think the Briscoes (who aren't NWA regulars) winning the Crockett Cup earlier this year is a good example of what you are talking about here along with your stated example of what they just did in their brief run in Impact. I think you are 100% correct there for sure. But the Briscoes have been previous GCW tag team champions before and Los Macizos just won the tag team championship two weekends ago in Nashville so I think this particular title change is a different issue.

Yes I see what you two are saying. Like I say I do not follow the indies so did not know about the other stuff. Thanks for the info. Sounds like some bad booking for sure. Consistent inconsistency.

Ooookay. It all makes sense now. Five team Art of War Games for the titles in Chicago next month. The four teams who have been trading the belts - Briscoes, SGC, Bussy, Los Macizos - and the newly formed Mega Bastards. Touché Mr Lauderdale.
