International Wrestling Federation Card # 01
Ottawa, Ontario Canada - Ottawa Civic Center
January, Week 1, Year 1

1. Thunderbolt Patterson (1) beat Tully Blanchard (1) with a Headbutt.
- This was a good match to kick off the promotion and the tournament for the IWF Heavyweight championship. Thunderbolt Patterson got a decent reaction when he was announced to the ring. Tully Blanchard was a full fledged bad guy taking opportunities to hit dirty tactics with Patterson. It was a good back and forth action that saw Patterson win with his devastating headbutt!

2. King Kong Bundy beat George “The Animal” Steele (1) with a running power slam.
- The fans were not sure which wrestler to cheer for at first but then eventually got behind Steele. Bundy nearly pinned him following a running power slam but Steele kicked out. They fought a little more before Bundy hit him again with the running power slam for the pinfall victory. King Kong Bundy will now go on to face Thunderbolt Patterson in the next round of the tournament. The fans cheered for Steele for his efforts as he made his way to the backstage area after the bout.

3. Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake (2) beat One Man Gang with a Flying Knee Smash.
- Early on in the match Beefcake had some good offense. They then fought on the floor a bit. Back in the ring they traded offense before Beefcake hit a Flying Knee Smash for the pinfall victory. After the match, One Man Gang gave him several 747 Splashes. Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake is injured for five cards and One Man Gang is suspended for three cards. It should be noted that since Beefcake is injured and One Man Gang is suspended that both men are out of the tournament and the winner of the next bout will receive a bye to the next round!

4. The Sheik (2) defeated “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan (3) with a Camel Clutch.
- They had a pretty wild bout that ended up on the arena floor several times. At one point Sheik nearly put Duggan away with a Camel Clutch but was able to make it to the ropes. They fought some more before Sheik locked him in the camel clutch for the submission victory. After the bell The Sheik threw a fireball in Duggan’s face - injuring him for five cards. Since the fireball was undetected by the referee The Sheik moves on to the next round of the tournament.

5. Dynamite Kid (2) beat Bruiser Brody by disqualification.
- This was a fantastic match that saw a lot of great action. The action was fast and furious and both men were on offense and nearly put the other away. The disqualification came when Bruiser Brody nailed Dynamite Kid in the back with a steel chair. The referee called for the bell and declared Dynamite Kid the winner. The two then fought some more before federation officials came and broke it up. Dynamite Kid celebrated his victory as the show went to a brief intermission.

6. Don Muraco beat Stan Hansen (2) after two Hawaiian Hammers.
- This was a short but good bout. Don Muraco hit a Hawaiian Hammer early on. They fought some more with Hansen getting some offense. Don Muraco came back and hit another Hawaiian Hammer for the victory to advance to the next round to face Dynamite Kid! Stan Hansen was very upset about his loss and nearly took out the referee.

7. Austin Idol (1) made Nick Bockwinkel (1) submit with a Las Vegas Leg Lock.
- Good bout on the short side. Nick Bockwinkel nearly put Austin Idol away early on. Austin Idol then came back and applied the Las Vegas Leg Lock for the submission win. After the match Idol played to the crowd and the fans pelted the ring with garbage. Austin Idol then exited the ring before things got too out of hand from the rowdy fans.

8. “Macho Man” Randy Savage beat Adrian Adonis with a Neckbreaker clothesline for the pin to advance in the tournament.
- This was a really short match that saw Adrian Adonis with little offense. Adonis hit a few moves but didn’t really stand a chance against Savage who was on fire and beat Adonis with a neckbreaker clothesline to win the match to end the show. The fans celebrated Savage’s victory and that sent the fans home happy.

Montreal, Quebec, Canada - Montreal Forum
January, Week 2, Year 1

1. King Kong Bundy beat Thunderbolt Patterson (3) with an Avalanche to advance to the next round of the tournament.
- Thunderbolt Patterson came to the ring first and fired up the crowd to kick off the show. The two took turns on offense where Patterson and King Kong Bundy knocked each other down with a pair of running shoulder tackles. King Kong Bundy nearly put Thunderbolt away with an Avalanche but he was able to kick out. Bundy got back on offense later in the match and hit the Avalanche for the pin and the win. He will now go on to face The Sheik in the next round of the tournament.

2. Don Muraco beat Dynamite Kid by disqualification.
- This was a good match that saw some great back and forth action. Dynamite Kid was disqualified after he got carried away with what he was doing in the ring and shoved the referee down. Don Muraco rolled to the floor as the referee called for the bell and he made his way quickly to the backstage area. Dynamite Kid then got angry and tore up ringside.

3. “Macho Man” Randy Savage (1) beat Austin Idol (2) with a Flying Elbow Smash to advance to the next round of the tournament.
- This was a good bout that saw some great offense by Austin Idol. He nearly put Savage away after a cross body block from the top rope. Randy Savage came back and hit a Flying Elbow Smash for the pin! He will now go on to face Don Muraco in the next round of the tournament. Randy Savage slapped hands with the ringside fans as he made his way to the backstage area. Austin Idol was irate over the outcome of the bout as the show went to an intermission.

4. The Sheik beat King Kong Bundy with a FIREBALL!
- This was a short match that saw a little bit of action. The Sheik quickly put King Kong Bundy away after throwing a Fireball in Bundy’s face. The Sheik now moves on to the finals of the tournament to compete for the IWF Heavyweight championship.

5. “Macho Man” Randy Savage (2) beat Don Muraco (4) with a Flying Elbow Smash to advance to the finals of the tournament.
- This was a very hard hitting and entertaining match. Don Muraco got some near falls on Savage but could not put him away. “Macho Man” Randy Savage came back and nailed Don Muraco with a Flying Elbow Smash for the win. He will now go on to face The Sheik in the finals for the IWF Heavyweight championship!

6. The Sheik beat “Macho Man” Randy Savage (7) with a Camel Clutch to become the first IWF Heavyweight champion!
- This was a very good match that had the fans on their feet the whole time. The Sheik threw a fireball but Savage was able to kick out. The Sheik kept going back to his Camel Clutch and Randy Savage eventually submitted. The Sheik was awarded the championship belt and Randy Savage needed to be helped to the backstage area. The fans were really mad that Savage lost and pelted the ring with garbage. The Sheik then made his way from the ring to the backstage area before things got out of hand.
