IWTV introducing new IWTV Tag Team Championship

this is cool, for my VWTV feds I have VWTV Tag Team Champions (current VWTV Tag tEam Champions are Reno Scum) who defend the VWTV Tag Team Championship in my VWTV feds on a rotating basis,


IWTV ANNOUNCES T4 SUMMIT - TOURNAMENT TO CROWN INDEPENDENT WRESTLING TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS

The first ever IWTV Independent Wrestling Tag Team Champions will be crowned in a tournament that will begin this month and culminate at the second annual Wrestival in Worcester, Massachusetts.

After months of deliberation, IWTV officials have decided on the format for the T4: Territory Tag Team Tournament, which will feature fifteen of independent wrestling's best tag teams competing for the Championships.

The first round of tournament matches will be hosted by IWTV partner promotions, with the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals taking place on December 30 and 31 as part of Wrestival weekend.

As announced last week, all tag matches during the tournament will be contest under the IWTV Tag Team Championship Rules Format.

All this week, IWTV will be revealing teams competing.

The first match in the tournament will see three time Independent Wrestling Tag Team Of The Year, Violence Is Forever, take on The Mane Event this Friday night (9/9) at Expect The Unexpected's New History.

Fly Def has been announced for this tag team tournament.

I had to double-check to make sure I was remembering correctly but I saw Fly Def at the Glory Pro show I attended as part of this year's Collective in Dallas during Mania Weekend. Fly Def were in the 4-way tag at that show and they are a Texas-based tag team.

ViF currently hold the titles for half the promotions featured in the 2021 IWTV set… they seem like the safe money bet

Would love to see Midnight Heat get a slot. Not sure if they are in a fed that’s part of the IWTV ‘territories’ but they are a great team.

While the Midnight Heat work alot of Defy and UWN shows which are not on IWTV (although Defy used to be,) they also work some Prestige and West Coast Pro shows which are on IWTV so I think it is possible they could be part of this tournament.
