Another great episode, nice dive in to a great B & w set.
I might be in the minority, but I think the b&w version of Ray Stevens is more accurate. I always feel his color card is over powered in singles.
No offense to the excellent work the team does, just my opinion on the one card I feel is too strong.

Stevens had great runs as a top singles guy in multiple territories.

Also, the only thing that really makes Stevens better on this card is two finishers, he has three level 3 offensive moves otherwise. A C turnbuckle rating, average power slightly above average agility and average defenses. So basically he's a midcarder whose better in tag matches.

Maybe my dice just favor Stevens, but he consistently upset better talent in singles matches for me. I’ve tried to avoid booking him in any singles matches.

Happy belated Tim, and always love these deep dive episodes that really give each card its due.

Ray Stevens was top dog in San Francisco during the 1960's. The mark mags of the day commonly ranked him among the top 10 or 20 singles wrestlers.

One other thought, I agree with Tim about the +2 finisher for Bob Armstrong. I often use that for him in my feds.

He's releasing a biography on Stevens hopefully ready for preorders end of Q4 2022 with shipments starting early in Q1 2023!

I got caught up and finished listening to this episode.
First, Happy Birthday to both Chad and Tim!
A quick recap of how the roster (black and white and/or color cards) for Legends Teams have done in my fed:
Double Axe Attack did not have much success as a tag team but Curt Hennig did win the EAWA Championship and is currently (along with RVD) an EAWA Tag Team Champion.
"Dr. Death" Steve Williams and black glove Ted DiBiase. Williams while teaming with Terry Gordy as the Miracle Violence Connection won the EAWA Tag Team Championship and also the World Tag Team Championship. Williams also won the most recent Royal Rumble to earn a title shot at Vegasmania but he was not successful at Vegasmania in a match against black glove DiBiase. black glove DiBiase and Williams together did not have much success as a tag team at least so far but black glove DiBiase did won the EAWA Championship and in the process end the 9-month reign of Big Van Vader. But the Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase persona has done even better in my fed as he won 3 EAWA Championships and the VWF Championship.
Dennis Condrey and Bobby Eaton are the current United States Tag Team Champions but overall Condrey has not had much success with Eaton compared to the Midnight Express tandem of Eaton and Stan Lane.
The Armstrongs had a good feud with the Love Brothers and had a brief reign as the United States Tag Team Champions.
Ray Stevens with his black and white card won the Brass Knuckles Championship and his color card (along with Nick Bockwinkel) held the VWF Tag Team Championship.
Ivan Koloff along with the Terrible Turk held the United States Tag Team Championship and he is currently in the Powers of Pain along with Warlord, Barbarian, and Baron Von Raschke.
The Fabulous Kangaroos have won the World Tag Team Championship and the MLW Tag Team Championship. They are currently managed by Wild Red Berry but for awhile were managed instead by Captain Lou Albano who was calling himself Captain Kangaroo at the time.
Looking forward to this week's show!
