Welcome to GPW (Global ProWrestling)! This is the rise of a wrestling company in the heart of Texas, Dallas to be precise called the Global ProWrestling. In this alternate universe, the United States only has one professional sport in it and that is pro-wrestling. There is no baseball, basketball, or football. Wrestling is the only sporting event, but in the United States there are five major wrestling franchise organizations; World Wrestling Federation, Legendary Professional Wrestling, Sunrise Coast Wrestling, Portland Northwest Wrestling, and Global ProWrestling. World Wrestling Federation headquarters in out of Chicago, Illinois. Legendary Professional Wrestling is centered out of New York. Sunrise Coast Wrestling is centered out of Florida. Portland Northwest Wrestling is based out of Portland, Oregan. All five major wrestling franchise organizations have their own champions, but belong to the United States Wrestling Alliance. All five major owners of the wrestling organizations sit on the board of the United States Wrestling Alliance. There is only one USWA World Champion and he travels all five organizations wrestling their main champions. The current USWA World Champion is Bruno Sammartino. Bruno Sammartino has held the USWA Championship for almost five years now. But, as he gets older will he be able to defend his championship with the upcoming crop of wrestlers? Will one of these other organizations buyout the WWF or worse put them out of business? Note: This is a project to combine LoW with a game like Risk. All permission has been given to use other promoters names of feds into this expertment.

Note: Due to a pior signed title match between Buddy Rogers and Dusty Rhodes, the USWA Champion will be facing Nick Bockwinkel for the title. Where normally the USWA Champion would only face the GPW Champion while in the territory.

The Crusher defeated Lex Luger with a CRUSHER BOLO
Match Rating: 2.50
Match Notes: Lex Luger put up a great fight against the veteran The Crusher, but came up short of the victory. The referee almost throughout the match several times because of all the brawling out of the ring. Lex took the loss of his debut extremely hard.
GPW World Tag Team Champions Match
Midnight Express (c) vs. Rock n Roll Express
Dennis Condrey defeated Robert Gibson with a DARK SIDE *
Match Rating: 3.00
Match Notes: Anytime The Rock N Roll Express battle the Midnight Express its always a classic rivalry match-up. Ricky and Robert had Dennis pinned, but thanks to the distraction of Jim Cornette Bobby Eaton was able to blind side Robert for the win.
Midnight Express retain the GPW World Tag Team Championship (1 title defense)
Jimmy Snuka vs. Don Muraco
Don Muraco defeated Jimmy Snuka with a HAWAIIAN HAMMER
Match Rating: 2.50
Match Notes: Snuka and Muraco have a classic match of two rivals, as blood flows from both wrestlers. Don Muraco hits Snuka with three HAWAIIAN HAMMERs to score the win. After the match, Muraco continues to beat up Snuka and try to put him out for good. Refs and officials had to come down to get Muraco off of Snuka.
GPW Texas Champion Match
Ricky Steamboat vs. Honky Tonk Man
Ricky Steamboat defeated Honky Tonk Man with a DRAGON FLY
Match Rating: 4.00
Match Notes: Steamboat and the Honky Tonk Man a have one of the best matches of the night so far as the momentum goes back and forth. Honky hits his finisher SHAKE, RATTLE, & ROLL on Steamboat, but Steamboat kicks out just at the last tenth of a second. Honky sets up Steamboat in the corner for a running knee and misses giving Steamboat a chance to hit his finisher DRAGON FLY for the win.

GPW Champion Match
Buddy Rogers vs. Dusty Rhodes
Dusty Rhodes defeated Buddy Rogers with a sleeper
Match Rating: 4.50
Match Notes: Dusty Rhodes came into this match the people's choice to win this match. Buddy Rogers just didn't hand the GPW Championship over to Rhodes, but pushed him to his limits and then some. Rhodes was able to over come every challenge and overcome Rogers with a sleeper hold in the middle of the ring.
After the match, as Rhodes was celebrating with Steamboat, Luger and Snuka, a man came out of the crowd dressed in red. He pushed an announcer down, picked up a microphone and got in the ring to stare down the new champion. "My name is Nikita Koloff, I heard that everything is bigger in Texas, so I come to see for myself... If the competition is big too. What I find is a fat overweight man as champion... what a joke! I am here to show the world that Russia has the most dominate athletes than here in America! I will come for that title very soon."
Nikita turns in seconds and strikes Dusty with the RUSSIAN SICKLE before anyone one realizes what happened. Lex and Snuka get into a defense pose as Steamboat checks on Dusty. Seeing that the damage was done, Nikita exits the ring and heads back through the crowd.
Dusty Rhodes won the GPW Championship
USWA World Champion
Bruno Sammartino vs. Nick Bockwinkel
Bruno Sammartino defeated Nick Bockwinkel with a BEAR HUG
Match Rating: 5.00
Match Notes: Nick Bockwinkel had this match well in control for the first ten minutes. Nick hit Bruno with everything he had but just could not score the pinfall. Bruno fought back hard against Nick Bockwinkel and it still could have gone either way. Bruno was able to slap his finisher the BEAR HUG on Nick Bockwinkel to get the submission.
Bruno Sammartino retained the USWA World Championship (1250 title defense)

An excellent kickoff for Global Pro... Bruno holding strong as the USWA World Champion comes as no surprise... Very interested to see how long this title reign will continue.
The roster of talent is looking pretty stacked... Nikita makes an immediate impact, drawing some serious heat by insulting the insanely popular GPW Champion, Dusty Rhodes... Brilliant stuff!

A lot of classic match ups! I love the idea of Nikita coming through the crowd as it puts eyes on him immediately!
The HTM and Steamboat match was a lot better than the real deal in my opinion. I still remember watching that match and saying "what just happened".

I just hope that those classic match ups live up to the hype! Nikita needs that build-up now and the heat.
