Juventud Guerrera beat Konnan by disqualification after Konnan smashed Juventud with a chair. Despite dominating the match, Konnan got tired of Melina's taunting and smashed Juventud with a chair. The referee called for the bell. Konnan advances
Billy Red Lyons bested Jimmy Snuka by disqualification when Snuka splashed Lyons through a ringside table. Snuka was a savage here and he really pounded down Lyons but in the end, he got caught and the referee ended things. Snuka advances.
Konnan survived a shot from the Book of the Dead to pin Prince Kharis with a DDT. Konnan dominated but Mitchell almost got Kharis back into it and got Kharis to slam Konnan hard to the floor but eventually Konnan recovered and hit the DDT to score the victory. Kharis advances.
Jimmy Snuka pinned Disco Inferno with the Superfly Splash. Disco's best show in this match was getting his foot on the rope after the first Superfly Splash. A second was too much. Inferno advances
In a very nice and tight battle, Henry Irslinger edged Steve Regal with the Amrlock and Leg Trip. Regal nearly pulled it off with the Ft Lauderdale Leglock but Irslinger survived, reversed off a deathjump and hit the Armlock/Leg Trip combo to take the win.
Shawn Daivari held off Joe Blanchard with WMD (+2). This was close but in the end, Daivari had just enough. Blanchard advances.
Redd Dogg knocked off Tommy Gilbert with a flying body press. Gilbert just could not sustain any offense here. Gilbert advances.
Evan "Strangler" Lewis easily handled Mikey Whipwreck with a grapevine into a shoulder lock. Whipwreck just could not handle the old school offense. He got off a slingshot neck snap but a suplex was reversed into the grapevine and then the shoulder lock had Whipwreck submitting. Whipwreck advances.
Val Venis crushed Sinn Bodhi in three moves after a half nelson suplex. Bodhi tried a Japanese Arm Drag which Val reversed into a whip into the ropes and slingshot across it. He then applied the suplex and covered for the win. Bodhi advances.
"Iron" Mike DiBiase bested Petey Williams with a piledriver. This went back and forth with both having chances to win but in the end DiBiase pulled through. Williams advances.

Petey Williams bested Prince Kharis via disqualification when Kharis was disqualified for choke slamming Williams through a table. Williams dominated but Kharis reversed on the floor only to get too aggressive and the referee called for the bell. Kharis advances.
Disco Inferno knocked off Sinn Bodhi with a piledriver. It was nearly a repeat of the first match with Disco taking a quick cover after a diving forearm. Bodhi kicked out and made a comeback but eventually Inferno covered with a spinning neckbreaker and then a piledriver. Bodhi kicked out one moment too late. Bodhi advances.
Steve Regal pinned Mikey Whipwreck after a frustrated James Mitchell who offered to manage Mikey distracted the referee and let Kharis hit his big forearm on Mikey allowing Regal to grab the three count. Regal then hightailed it out of there before Mitchell and Kharis could do anything else. Whipwreck advances.
Joe Blanchard handled Tommy Gilbert with a running bulldog. Gilbert kept fighting out of the abdominal stretch but he was too weakened to prevent being hit by the running bulldog for the pin. Gilbert advances.

SemiFinals Tommy Gilbert pinned Prince Kharis with a flying cross body block. Gilbert dominated but Kharis did make a comeback. Gilbert got control again and Mitchell's interference was ineffective. Gilbert climbed to the top and leaped and put Kharis down for the three count. Kharis advances.
Sinn Bodhi came back to best Mikey Whipwreck with Talluah Belle. Whipwreck dominated but Bodhi grabbed control on the floor and hit his finisher inside to score the victory. Whipwreck advances.
Non Tournament Match Konnan and Billy Red Lyons bested Jimmy Snuka and Juventud Guerrera when Lyons pinned Juventud with a rolling reverse cradle. This went back and forth but in the end, Lyons went on an offensive roll to take the three count.
Finals for the Dead Zone Championship Mikey Whipwreck survived Prince Kharis and his Magical Mummy Forearm to win with a slingshot neck snap. James Mitchell was neutralized by Petey Williams who was not happy getting slammed through a table. Kharis still nearly pulled off the win but in the end Whipwreck got the three count to avoid the title. Prince Kharis is the Dead Zone Champion.

It seems somehow appropriate that a mummy should be the Dead Zone Champion.

*laughs* I call it Dead Zone in that it's a place where you don't want to be. Nothing to do with being alive or dead of course.
Yeah, it was funny Kharis came out on top but he's also probably got the weakest card of the wrestlers that were there.

Billy Red Lyons put down Steve Regal with a rolling reverse cradle. Regal got an early Leglock and survived several from Lyons but a rollup caught him off-guard for the three count. (Regal 1 of 5)
Sinn Bodhi edged Tommy Gilbert with Tallulah Belle. Gilbert dominated most of the match but Bodhi reversed late and eventually hit his finisher twice to win. (Gilbert 1 of 5)
Redd Dogg squashed Val Venis with Blackout. A spinebuster and then the Blackout finished things off. (Venis 1 of 5)
Konnan took down Jimmy Snuka in a Mexican Death Match following a knee smash and cradle. Snuka seemed irritated by the count and started barking at the referee allowing Konnan to recover and pin him. (Snuka 1 of 5)
