International Wrestling Federation The Great Canadian Tour (Jan 1st, Year 1 - Ottawa, Ontario)
1. P.N. News beat George “The Animal” Steele by disqualification.
The two traded moves with neither of them getting the advantage. P.N. News tossed him into the turnbuckle early on in the bout and George Steele came back on offense. The two traded big moves but neither man were able to hit a finisher to put the other away. The fans were really behind George Steele. The action went to the arena floor where George Steele walloped P.N. News with a chair for the disqualification. He didn’t stop after the bell and continued on with his assault as News hightailed it to the backstage area. Steele then got back into the ring and ripped open a turnbuckle to the delight of the fans. This match lasted only about five minutes. **
2. Lanny Poffo beat Ox Baker with a Sky Drop.
This was a great bout that saw some good back and forth action. Both men nearly defeated each other. Lanny Poffo hit a cradle piledriver for a near fall. Ox Baker came back with a Heart Punch later on but Lanny Poffo barely kicked out to the delight of the fans in attendance. They spent a good portion of the bout on the floor. Lanny Poffo eventually got Ox Baker in the ring and hit a Sky Drop for the victory. This match went about eight minutes. ** 3/4
3. Koko Ware beat Sam Houston with a Missile Dropkick.
This was a short but good match. Sam Houston nearly put Ware away with a knee lift. Ware came back with a Missile Dropkick and Houston was able to kick out of the pin attempt. They spent a few moments on the floor and then Ware tossed him back in the ring and hit another Missile Dropkick for the pin and the win. This match went about three minutes. *
4. Tracy Smothers beat “Lightning” Rod Fenton with a Jaw Jacker.
Great bout between these two. They traded offense and Fenton nearly put Smothers away with some big maneuvers. Tracy Smothers came back and hit the Jaw Jacker for the win. After the bell sounded and Tracy Smothers was celebrating his victory, Rod Fenton smashed Tracy Smothers in the head with a chair. He hit him a few times in the forehead causing Smothers to bleed. Referees and federation officials had to come down to stop Fenton. This isn’t the last we see of these two. ***
5. Warlord defeated “Wildfire” Tommy Rich with a Full Nelson.
This was an action packed bout. At one point Warlord was in the corner when Tommy Rich charged him. Warlord moved sending Tommy Rich to the floor. Warlord went for the count out victory by sending Rich over the top rope and to the arena floor. Warlord eventually got the submission win when he locked on a Full Nelson. This was a good bout with red hot action. **
6. “Ravishing” Rick Rude beat Killer Kowalski with a Piledriver.
Before the match Rick Rude grabbed the house microphone and said that he is the sexiest man in the world and the people of Ottawa don’t deserve to see him. Kowalski then came to the ring and they went right at each other from the opening bell. Rude hit a diving knee drop for a big near fall. Kowalski got some offense but Rick Rude was too much for him on this night and hit a piledriver for the win. The fans did not take to Rick Rude at all and Rude didn’t seem to care. This match went about seven minutes. ** 1/2
7. Austin Idol beat “Rowdy” Roddy Piper with a Las Vegas Leg Lock!
The fans were on their feet for the entrance of Roddy Piper. This was a good bout that saw some great action. They fought on the floor and all around the ring. They were behind Piper with every strike and blow. Austin Idol got him in the center of the ring and put him in the Las Vegas Leg Lock for the victory. As Roddy Piper was being helped to the backstage area, Austin Idol celebrated his victory and had to duck the garbage that was being pelted at him. ** 1/2
The ring announcer reminded the fans that there would be another show the next night and tickets for that event are on sale now at the box office.

International Wrestling Federation (Card # 02) The Great Canadian Tour (Jan 2nd, Year 1 - Ottawa, Ontario)
1. P.N. News beat George “The Animal” Steele with a Broken Record.
P.N. News came to the ring with a steel chair in hand after what happened the night before. George Steele was off his game and News took advantage of this. P.N. News hit one Broken Record but it wasn’t enough to put away Steele. He soon hit another Broken Record for the win. This match wasn’t very good and had very little heat. *
2. Sam Houston beat Ox Baker with a Bulldog.
This was a decent match. Sam Houston got some early offense in but Ox Baker quickly took control. They ended up on the floor for a moment and then got back in the ring where Sam Houston hit a Bulldog. Ox Baker was able to kick out of the move. They went to the floor again and then Sam Houston got him back in the ring again where he hit a Bulldog for the pin! This match went about six minutes. It got the crowd riled up after a stinker of an opening match. **
3. “Leaping” Lanny Poffo beat Koko Ware with a Sky Drop.
This was a very short match, lasting about two minutes. Koko Ware had the offense early on but Poffo came back and hit a Sky Drop for the win. After the match an upset Koko Ware walloped Poffo with a steel chair knocking him to the mat. He then rammed the chair into his back several times before hitting a piledriver on the chair. Referees and Officials came into the ring but the damage was done. Ware raised his arms in victory as the fans booed him loudly as he made his way to the backstage area. ** 1/2
4. “Rowdy” Roddy Piper beat The Warlord with a Sleeper.
This was an excellent match that saw a lot of action. Warlord started on offense working over Piper’s back. Warlord nearly put Piper away but couldn’t get the job done. They fought on the floor for a bit and then The Warlord got him in the ring and put on a Full Nelson. Roddy Piper was able to get out of it and then came back and put Warlord in a Sleeper for the win. This match was about twelve minutes and had the fans going crazy after the bout. ***
5. “Wildfire” Tommy Rich beat Nikolai Volkoff with a Thesz Press.
Decent match between these two. They went to the floor and then traded big moves in the ring. Tommy Rich hit a Wildfire Sleeper but Volkoff was able to get to the ropes to escape the move. Tommy Rich eventually hit a Thesz Press for the win. Volkoff exited the ring angry and made his way back up the aisle to the backstage area as the fans threw garbage at him. **
6. “Lightning” Rod Fenton beat Tracy Smothers with a Series of Dropkicks.
Short but good and exciting match. Tracy Smothers hit two Jaw Jackers early on but could not put Rod away. Rod came back and hit some big moves. He then hit a Series of Dropkicks for the win. Fans were disappointed that their hero lost the bout. He grabbed the microphone and said he let down the fans and then exited the ringside area as the fans cheered him. He waved to the crowd and then walked past the curtain upset that he lost this big match. **
7. Bob Backlund beat “Ravishing” Rick Rude with an Atomic Drop.
This was a great match that went about fifteen minutes. They traded offense and it was really competitive. Fans were on their feet throughout the bout. Bob Backlund got some near falls on Rude. Rude nearly put Backlund away as well. Bob Backlund eventually hit an Atomic Drop for the pin and the win. Rude rolled to the floor and hightailed it to the backstage area as Backlund celebrated his win with the fans. The ring announcer then got on the microphone and said the IWF would be returning to Ottawa later on this year! The fans cheered and that was the end of the show! *** 3/4

International Wrestling Federation (Card # 03) The Great Canadian Tour - January 3rd, Year 1 Montreal Quebec, Canada
1. “The French Angel” Maurice Tillet pinned Nacho Barrera.
This match went about five minutes. Nacho Barrera was nearly put away early on in the bout but was able to kick out of the pin attempt. Nacho Barrera got some offense but not enough to put The French Angel away. Maurice Tillet was able to put him away and pin him for the victory. Not really a great match but wasn’t terrible either. There wasn’t much heat from the crowd for this bout. *
2. Thunderbolt Patterson beat “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert with a Headbutt.
Great match between these two. Both wrestlers nearly put the other away several times but couldn’t get the job done. They fought on the floor a bit but then quickly brought it back in the ring. At one point Eddie Gilbert was posing to the crowd and when he turned around he received a dropkick for his troubles. He powdered out of the ring and then Patterson went on the attack and nailed him with a Headbutt for the win. This match went about nine minutes. ** 3/4
3. “Iron” Mike McCord beat Paul Ellering with a Bear Hug.
Decent match that saw some good action. This match went about eight minutes. Mike McCord tossed Ellering into the ropes and Ellering gave him a dropkick to the face causing McCord to roll out of the ring. Paul Ellering followed him out of the ring and irish whipped him into the guard rail and rammed him back fist into the steel pole before sending him back into the ring. He then hit a piledriver for a pin attempt but McCord got his foot on the bottom rope to disrupt the pin. Back on offense Mike McCord put him in a Bear Hug for the submission win. **
4. The Sheik beat Brickhouse Brown with a Fireball!
This match was pretty good. The Sheik had a lot of heat from the crowd. The fans were really behind Brickhouse Brown. They both nearly put the other away. The Sheik threw a Fireball in Brickhouse Brown’s face and got the pin. Brickhouse Brown needed to be helped to the backstage area. The rabid fans were red hot and were pelting The Sheik with garbage as he made his way back to the backstage area. ** 1/2
5. Baron Von Raschke beat “Hacksaw” Jim Duggan with a Brain Claw!
Good bout that saw a lot of great action. The fans were really behind Jim Duggan. Baron Von Raschke nearly put Jim Duggan away after three Brain claws. After the fourth brain claw Jim Duggan had taken so much punishment that he had no choice but to give up to the Brain Claw. Once the bell rang Baron Von Raschke saluted the crowd and then exited the ring to a chorus of boos. ***
6. “Ravishing” Rick Rude beat “Leaping” Lanny Poffo by count out.
Good bout that saw near falls from both wrestlers. They spent some time on the floor where Rude rammed Poffo’s back into the guard rail. He even lifted him up and body slammed him on the top of the steel guard rail. Rude then tossed him back into the ring and hit him with a big piledriver. They went to the floor once more where Rude choked him with the microphone cord. Lanny Poffo was in really bad shape. Rude rolled back into the ring and Lanny Poffo was counted out. Rude posed to the crowd and then made his way up the aisle way as the fans were cursing and throwing beer cups at him. ** 1/2
7. Killer Kowalski beat Bob Backlund by disqualification!
This match was very short. Early on Killer Kowalski grabbed Brass Knuckles from his tights and went to hit Backlund. Backlund kicked him in the stomach and Kowalski dropped the Brass Knuckles. He swung at him and nailed him in the forehead and the referee immediately disqualified Bob Backlund. Killer Kowalski rolled to the floor and then up the aisle as Bob Backlund stood there upset that he lost the big match. The ring announcer got on the microphone and said that they would be coming back to Montreal for another big night of wrestling action later on this year! **
