That is what's great about those shockers, you get winners like Konnan and that is cool he is your 1st 9CW Champ, fun stuff... Yes, shock title runs are fun to see play out with the dice. Hot dice for Konnan on night 1, let's see what happens when he has to defend it. Looking forward to more from guiltyparty. Thank you for reading.

Episode 2: The Gauntlet
The second night of 9CW action began with Ted DiBiase leading the Million Dollar Corporation to the ring, sans Big Van Vader. The Million Dollar Man announced that Vader, the “uncrowned 9CW champion”, had been suspended for 30 days for attacking both Konnan (the actual 9CW champion) and Commissioner Teddy Long. DiBiase laughed and said he had paid Vader a big bonus for his actions. DiBiase said that once the suspension was over, Konnan could come and get his belt back, if he could beat Vader in a rematch. DiBiase than said that by the end of the night, the Million Dollar Corporation would have more gold, because he intended to buy the contract of whom ever won tonight’s main event gauntlet match to crown the first Transcontinental Champion.
Tag Team Match The Dungeon of Doom (Hugh Morrus and The Barbaian with Jimmy Hart) defeated The Armstrong Brothers (BG & Brad Armstrong) via pinfall
Hugh Morrus hit Brad Armstrong with the No Laughing Matter to pick up the victory for his team. With the win, The Dungeon of Doom made a statement for their inclusion in the up coming tournament for the tag team championships.
Backstage, Lance Russell interviewed 9CW Champion Konnan. Konnan stated that he accepted DiBiase’s challenge and would beat Vader again and take possession of his belt. Konnan than threw out a challenge of his own for the next show, him and a partner of his choice versus The Million Dollar Corporation's The Quebecers!
Singles Match Juventud Guerrera defeated Chris Candido via pinfall
The Juice scored an impressive victory over Chris Candido using the 450 splash in an exciting light-heavyweight matchup.
Singles Match Barry Windham defeated Mikey Whipweck via pinfall.
The West Texas Redneck made short work of the always scrappy Whipwreck. Windham used a lariat to put Whipwreck down in less than three minutes.
Gauntlet Match Transcontinental Championship
Mark Henry defeated Fit Finlay via pinfall
The first two men in the gauntlet match were, to use a phrase, two big beefy boys slapping beef. The Irish brawler, though showing great toughness, was ultimately no match for the world’s strongest man, who used the eponymous World’s Strongest Slam to eliminate Finlay from the Gauntlet.
Mark Henry defeated D'Lo Brown via pinfall Henry’s friend D’Lo Brown came out next. The two shook hands and fought a clean match. Again, Henry’s power saw him through as he picked up the win with a military press slam.
Billy Gunn defeated Mark Henry via pinfall
The opportunistic Billy Gunn was next out and took advantage of a tired Henry to quickly eliminate the World’s Strongest Man using his Standing leg drop to get the pin.
Billy Gunn defeated Val Venis via pinfall
A still fresh Gunn then faced off against the Big Valboski. This one could have gone either way, but in the end Gunn hit the jackhammer to eliminate the master of the single entendre.
2 Cold Scorpio defeated Billy Gunn via pinfall
The high flying and fresh Scorpio was able to get the best of a spent Gunn, connecting with “The Diss That Don’t Miss” to get the 3 count.
Ken Shamrock defeated 2 Cold Scorpio via submission
Last out was “The World’s Most Dangerous Man”. Though Scorpio was still relatively fresh, Shamrock still tore through him quickly, he locked in the ankle lock, and though Scorpio was able to reach the ropes the first time, Shamrock dragged him back to the center of the ring, re-applied the hold, and forced the grounded high-flyer to submit, giving Shamrock the win and crowning him the inaugural Transcontinental champion.

Really solid card--nice description of the action for each match.
You must really have it in for Konnan if his first title defense will be against a fresh-off-suspension, path-of-rage Vader. Or maybe that won't be a title defense and just an attempt to get his belt back. I want to say that either way, he's in for a whoopin' but he already beat Vader once, so anything is possible.
Of course, he has to get past the Quebecers first, which is no mean feat.
If Ted DiBiase does indeed acquire the services of Ken Shamrock, he and Vader would make a very dangerous addition to the Tag Team Title Tournament. (The Quad-T?)
Good to see the second card of action. Looking forward to more.

I would just point out, for those who might not remember the New Generation, DiBiase almost never bought the services of who he said he was going to buy...

Episode 3: K-Dog’s Revenge
Singles Match Barry Windham defeated Al Snow by pinfall
Night 3 kicked off with action straight away as “West Texas Redneck” Barry Windham picked up another impressive victory, destroying Al Snow in less than two minutes and getting the three count with a power slam.
After the match, as Windham made his way to the back, Curt Hennig met him near the exit to back stage and beckoned for Windham to follow him.
Tag championship round robin tournament match The Dungeon of Doom (Hugh Morrus and The Barbarian with Jimmy Hart) defeated The American Males (Scotty Riggs and Marcus Alexander Bagwell) by pinfall.
It was announced this week on 9CW Online, powered by Prodigy, that a round-robin tournament to crown the first 9CW Tag champions would begin this week. The scoring would give two points for a win, one point for a draw, and no points for a loss. Jimmy Hart’s Dungeon of Doom duo, riding high on a wave of momentum, scored the first win in the tournament when Morrus pinned Bagwell with a sunset flip. With the win, The Dungeon of Doom is in first place with 2 points awarded for a pinfall victory.
Singles Match Steve Williams defeated Eddie Gilbert (with Doug Gilbert) via pinfall
“Doctor Death”, coming off a disappointing lose in opening round of the championship tournament, was looking for a statement win. He got that in the form of a dominating performance against Eddie Gilbert, who it was announced would be participating in the round robin tag tournament with his brother, Doug.
Backstage, Lance Russell interviewed the inaugural Transcontinental champion, Ken Shamrock. Shamrock praised the other competitors who participated in the gauntlet match last week which he ultimately won. They were then interrupted by Ted DiBiase. DiBiase offered Shamrock a wad of cash and a spot in the Million Dollar Corporation. Shamrock slapped the wad of bills away and stormed off. An incensed DiBiase said that if Shamrock wasn’t smart enough to take the money, then he’d find someone who was.
Tag championship round robin tournament match Too Cool (Brian Christopher & Scott Taylor) defeated The Blue Bloods (Squire David Taylor & Earl Robert of Eaton) by pinfall
This tag team match ended up being something of an instant classic. Both of these teams worked like well oiled machines trading rapid tags and near falls. In the end, Scott Taylor connected with a superkick on David Taylor (no relation) and scored a hard fought and well deserved win at the end of a near 30 minute showcase. With the win, Too Cool are tied with The Dungeon of Doom with 2 points. Singles Match Shane Douglas defeated Juventud Guerrera via pinfall
The Franchise, coming off a semi-finals loss in the championship tournament, returned to action with a solid win against the much smaller Juvi. The Juice couldn’t keep Douglas down and eventually fell victim to The Franchise’s Belly-to-Belly Suplex.
Main Event Tag Team match Konnan & British Bulldog defeated The Quebecers (with The Million Dollar Man) via pinfall 9CW champion Konnan, still with out his belt as Big Van Vader retains possession, got a measure of revenge against The Million Dollar Corporation. Konnan brough out as his partner the man he defeated in the semi-finals of the tournament to crown the inaugural champion: The British Bulldog. Konnan and The Bulldog dominated the Quebecers, using their power advantage to overcome the tag team experience of the duo from the Corporation. DiBiase tried to interfere after Konnan hit Pierre Carl Oullet with a powebomb into a jackknife pin, but it was for not as Konnan got the pin and the win.

American Males! American Males! American Males! American Males!
Rough night for the main event heels, but that's okay. We'll get 'em next time.
Any alliance between Barry Windham and Curt Hennig - two of my favorites in the game - is going to do my old, tired heart good. I wonder if they'll be the new signees in the Million Dollar Corporation (though I haven't yet given up on Shamrock--everybody's got a price for the Million Dollar Man). Either of them would make a credible challenger for Shamrock's title.
I see Al Snow and Shane Douglas--I wonder if we will see any other "Extreme" wrestlers make their presence known in this Nineties-insored promotion.
As always, a fun read and great presentation. I eagerly await Episode 4.
EDIT: I retract my supposition about the Extreme wrestlers. I forgot we’ve seen the bWo, Mikey Whipwreck, and so forth.

Episode 4: Shamrock’s First Defense
Chris Candido defeated D’Lo Brown via pinfall
Candido recorded his first victory in 9CW, defeating the always game D’Lo Brown in an exciting match that ran almost 13 minutes. Though Candido took most of the action, Brown showed great heart, escaping several near falls before finally succumbing to a running neckbreaker.
Tag championship round robin tournament match The Gilberts (Eddie and Doug) defeated the The Pitbulls via disqualification
In a disappointing match up, Pitbull #2 was disqualified almost immediately for choking Doug Gilbert with a camera cord while brawling outside the ring. Though the fans and the Pitbulls weren’t please, The Gilbert’s were more than happy to escape with 2 easy points in the tag team tournament.
Fit Finley defeated Val Venis via pinfall
This match won the crowd back after the disappointment of the previous match. Finlay withstood an early barrage of offense from the sleezy Las Vegas native, then turned the tide and scored near falls with a fireman’s carry hot shot and a tombstone piledriver, then hit a second tombstone to get a hard fought win.
Backstage, Lance Russell interviewed Barry Windham and Curt Hennig. The duo said that they were joining forces with an eye on championship gold, and that no one, not Konnan, not Ken Shamrock, and not what ever team won the tournament, would be able to stand in their way.
Tag championship round robin tournament match The Quebecers (with Ted DiBiase) defeated The Armstrong Brothers (BJ & Brad) via pinfall
Despite early struggles in the past against the bWo and last week against Konnan and The British Bulldog, this week the duo from Montreal showed exactly why Ted DiBiase had purchased their services for his Million Dollar Corporation. The Quebecers mowed through The Armstrong Brothers, never giving the duo from Georgia a chance to go on the attack, and quickly put them away with the Tower of Quebec Shane Douglas defeated Mark Henry via pinfall
“The Franchise” looked extremely impressive here, dominating the World’s Strongest Man like few could have expected. Douglas hit Henry with multiple belly-to-belly suplexes, finally getting the pin after connecting with the move for the 6th (!) time.
After the match, a seemingly irate Douglas went to retrieve a chair to further assault Henry, only for D’Lo Brown to run out wielding a chair of his own to prevent the attack. With Brown and Douglas starring each other down, Commissioner Teddy Long came out and made a match between the two for next week’s card.
Main Event Transcontinental Championship Match Champion Ken Shamrock defeated Billy Gunn via pinfall
Before the match, Ted DiBiase came out, waving a fist full of hundred dollar bills. The Million Dollar Man joined the commentary team and promised that if Billy Gunn won the title, he’d also win a spot in the Million Dollar Corporation and a huge cash signing bonus. Neither this, nor the prestige of winning the Transcontinental championship was enough to motivate Billy Gunn to victory, though he certainly gave it his all. Both men came close to victory over the course of this 20-plus minute battle, with Shamrock managing to lock in his feared ankle lock and Gunn connecting with his standing leg drop. In the end, it came down to something simple, as Shamrock was able to reverse an attempted sunset flip into a successful pinning combination. As the referee presented Shamrock with his hard fought to retain championship, a man in a shirt and tie and carrying a metal briefcase leapt the barricade and attacked Shamrock. With DiBiase barking instructions, the unidentified man battered Shamrock with the case and then nailed him with a butterfly suplex before leaving the champion laying in the ring.

Wow, guiltyparty, some real surprises on this show. Chris Candido managed to get one over on D'Lo Brown--that's surprising enough--but Shane Douglas manhandling Mark Henry? It's not that Douglas couldn't beat just about anyone at any time, as he is a strong competitor, but to take it to Henry like that? That's improbable to say the least. Nice debut for the mystery man with the tie and briefcase. I wonder who that could be... As I said last time, I'm a fan of any pairing that includes Hennig and WIndham. I can almost hear those dulcet tones right now: ~Ra-aa-aap is crap~ Another great outing, and I'm looking forward to Episode #5!

As it stands, if Konnan some how manages to retain the title against Vader (and get the physical belt), Windham and Hennig are next in line.
