I'm not sure if he was my grandfather's favorite, but I remember him talking about Kowalski a lot... My grandfather was the only family member who ever had the same love for professional wrestling that I have... Unfortunately, I was a little too young when he passed away to appreciate what we were watching together at the time... Fond memories though.

NAIL IN THE COFFIN A Vampire Legend
Chapter Three: VAMPIRO vs. JERSEY TRIAD
13/ DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE def. Vampiro (w/ James Mitchell) via pinfall after a DIAMOND CUTTER. -- Tokens: DDP 1 - Vampiro 2 - This was a fast paced match that DDP would have won earlier, but a distraction by Mitchell prevented the referee from witnessing the pinfall. At that point, Chris Candido marched towards the ringside area to level the playing field. Vampiro was in control until he missed a high risk move, allowing DDP to regain the upper hand.
14/ VAMPIRO (w/ James Mitchell) def. Chris Candido (w/ Diamond Dallas Page) via count-out <out of the ring> after a guillotine leg drop across a guardrail. -- Tokens: Vampiro 2 - Candido 1 - Despite being somewhat brief, both men landed some impressive offense in this seesaw battle. A volatile exchange on the apron ended with Vampiro dropping Candido with a powerbomb onto the concrete floor. DDP tried to help his ally back into the ring, but Candido was too unsteady to beat the referee's count.
15/ CHRIS CANDIDO & KING KONG BUNDY (w/ Diamond Dallas Page) def. Abdullah the Butcher & Vampiro (w/ James Mitchell) when Bundy tapped out Vampiro <snake eyes> with a bear hug. -- Tokens: Bundy 4 - Abdullah 4 - Vampiro had just tagged into the match and decided to attack Bundy with a series of high impact strikes. Shrugging off the assault, Bundy trapped Vampiro in a punishing hold while Candido and DDP worked together to prevent Abdullah from making the save. Mitchell protests had no effect on the decision. - Seeking revenge for his earlier loss, Candido blindsided Vampiro with a steel chair after the bell. Abdullah pulled Vampiro out of harm's way and Mitchell told his clients to make a strategic withdrawal.
16/ VAMPIRO (w/ James Mitchell) def. Chris Candido (w/ Diamond Dallas Page) in a First Blood match. Vampiro busted Candido wide open with a NAIL ON THE COFFIN on top of the metal ringside stairs. -- Tokens: Vampiro 3 - Candido 9 - This was a fairly uneven match as Candido just could not effectively counter Vampiro's bloodlust. Using Mitchell's walking stick, Vampiro repeatedly smashed Candido until he could barely stand. Realizing Candido was no longer able to fight back, DDP stood back and demanded that Vampiro show some mercy. Vampiro made a throat slashing gesture before ending the match in truly violent fashion. - In a post-match interview, Vampiro stated that his well of mercy had run dry long before this encounter. With a burst of wicked laughter, Mitchell added that Candido would not be gracing the ring with his presence anytime soon. Without warning, DDP charged at Vampiro and a wild brawl erupted! Security was needed to maintain order.
17/ VAMPIRO (w/ James Mitchell) def. Diamond Dallas Page (w/ King Kong Bundy) in a Hardcore Deathmatch. Vampiro pinned DDP after an uranage through a stack of light tubes. -- Tokens: DDP 2 - The animosity between these two men continued to escalate and it remained obvious that their rivalry was far from over. Even interference by Bundy could not slow down Vampiro as he appeared to be completely in his element. - In a post-match interview, Vampiro had some harsh words for Bundy. He made it clear that he did not fear the big, white whale and would gladly put a harpoon through its carcass. Bundy stomped towards Vampiro and told him to simply name the time and the place.
18/ VAMPIRO (w/ James Mitchell) def. King King Bundy (w/ Diamond Dallas Page) via DQ <outside interference> when DDP blatantly attacked Vampiro, leading to a wild brawl. -- Tokens: Vampiro 1 - Bundy 4 - Using hit and run tactics, Vampiro gradually picked up steam while Bundy struggled to keep up. DDP lost control of his emotions and his inability to remain a passive observer wound up costing Bundy the match.
19/ ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER & VAMPIRO (w/ James Mitchell) def. Diamond Dallas Page & King Kong Bundy when Abdullah pinned Bundy after a SUDANESE MEAT CLEAVER. -- Tokens: Abdullah 2 - DDP 6, Bundy 2 - Both teams narrowly avoided disqualification in this brutal affair. DDP survived multiple close calls, but it was not enough. He managed to make a much needed tag, but then dropped with exhaustion which left Bundy to handle things alone.
20/ ABDULLAH THE BUTCHER, KILLER KOWALSKI & VAMPIRO (w/ James Mitchell) def. Diamond Dallas Page, King Kong Bundy & Steve Corino when Vampiro pinned DDP <pin save counter> after Abdullah and Kowalski hit a knee drop/elbow drop combination. -- Tokens: Abdullah 2 - DDP 2, Bundy 3, Corino 2 - The introduction of Kowalski as the newest member of Mitchell's Church received plenty of jeers from the crowd. An early distraction by Mitchell helped Abdullah avoid disqualification while choking out DDP with some fishing line. Corino made his first appearance with the Jersey Triad, replacing Chris Candido, who stated he was not willing to face Vampiro again. Despite some fluid teamwork, the Jersey Triad were unable to endure the sheer brutality of their opponents. Without making a legal tag, Vampiro blindsided DDP with a superkick for a near fall. Bundy and Corino managed to halt the predicament, but that left DDP in a vulnerable position while the referee was busy ordering his teammates back to their own corner.
21/ VAMPIRO (w/ James Mitchell) def. Diamond Dallas Page in a Coffin match. Vampiro trapped DDP inside the coffin after a NAIL IN THE COFFIN. -- Tokens: Vampiro 8 - DDP 9 - This was a truly epic confrontation that served as a fitting conclusion to this grueling program. Both men were bleeding heavily, but neither was willing to surrender. Mitchell was not a factor as he became focused on watching the action unfold. At one point, DDP planted Vampiro in the coffin with a DIAMOND CUTTER out of nowhere. He almost managed to slam the lid, but Vampiro escaped just in time. Propelling himself against the ropes, Vampiro caught DDP with a spinning heel kick and transitioned smoothly for a spectacular finish.
W/L record: 11-5-1 (singles), 2-1 (tag team), 1-0 (trios)

Bloody wild battle there and very appropriate. It was a great way to blow off this chapter, imo... Honestly, I'm very impressed with how Vampiro has fared thus far... Gonna have to bring in some stiffer competition... Speaking of which, the next chapter will be titled VAMPIRO vs. VILLAINS OF THE BLACK THRONE... Truly appreciate the continued interest, my friend... Many thanks!

Something that is kind of on topic being Vampiro related, I am not sure if anyone else gets the same vibe but when I see the art for Torment's PP card it makes me think of Vampiro. It is the stance Torment takes. I swear I have seen Vampiro do something similar before.

Yeah! I can totally see that! It is how he is holding his hands and the slight tilt in his head. The black paint around the eyes, the dark hair swept back from the forehead (which looks like it could be past shoulder length) and even the clothing is somewhat similar to what Vampiro might wear... Can definitely see a sort of resemblance... Good eye!

thought he was a vampire first I saw him, then saw his back and said "oh another Gladiator" since then he and Category 5 I've called them the Aethran Raiders doing random attacks in GWF/Z and Kronos...also in LOW. Corino is better choice than Candido, who is better comic relief...perhaps I still see a Bodydonna when I see him. Kowalski, a dangerous add to the Church
