The action continues...
Valentine with another ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. Cover. One… kick out (roll 8, target 2). Valentine climbs the corner for a deathjump smash. The referee goes down. Valentine tries to revive the official so he can make the count but Brazil rolls Valentine up from behind as the official recovers. One. . . kick out (roll 8, target 3). Brazil tosses Valentine to the floor and follows him outside. The two men tear apart ringside. The referee comes outside to restore order and Valentine shoves the referee to the floor. The bell sounds and Valentine has been disqualified (Valentine-roll 3, target 5; Brazil-roll 8, target 4). The fight continues at ringside until security arrives to pull the two men apart. Final pin totals: Valentine 4, Brazil 3. Time: 12:52.
Match 6: Frank Gotch & Harley Race v. Killer Kowalski & LWF Champion Nick Bockwinkel Great heat for the champion and his tag team partner during the introductions. Bockwinkel locks up with Gotch and takes control with a shoulder tackle and kick to the ribs. Bockwinkel slows things down with an arm bar and then sends Gotch into the ropes. Gotch counters a backdrop with a piledriver. Gotch misses a swinging neckbreaker and Kowalski tags in. Gotch reverses a whip into the corner but Kowalski blocks Gotch’s charge with a knee to the chest. Gotch goes hard into the corner but steps out of the way of Kowalski’s shoulder tackle. Kowalski is down and Gotch covers. One…kick out (roll 7, target 3). Race tags in with a standing dropkick (ch). Kowalski goes into the ropes and rebounds into Race’s high knee smash. Race comes off the corer with a pair of deathjump knee drops onto Kowalski’s leg. Indian Deathlock. Kowalski kicks Race off (roll 9, target 4). Race connects with another standing dropkick (ch) and a vertical suplex. Gotch is in with a figure four leglock (ch) and tackles Kowalski in the corner. Kowalski goes hard into the opposite corner but avoids Gotch’s follow through rolling up Gotch. One…kick out (roll 8, target 1). Bockwinkel tags in and attacks with a BOCKWINKEL SLEEPER. Gotch escapes (roll 7, target 4). Bockwinkel tosses Gotch to the floor and Gotch crawls back into the ring but a powerbomb forces Gotch to bail again. Bockwinkel goes outside and rams Gotch’s face into the steel rails by the fans busting Gotch open. No disqualification (roll 9, target 5). Bockwinkel chokes Gotch on the ropes and covers. One…kick out (roll 9, target 3). Kowalski is in with a bombs away knee drop and stomach claw. Gotch rolls to the floor and Kowalski follows ramming Gotch’s head into the steel rails. No disqualification (roll 6, target 5). Kowalski chokes Gotch on the ropes and applies a body scissors. Gotch reverses and tags out. Race tags in with a vertical suplex and Kowalski rolls to the floor. Race comes off the apron with a double hammer but Kowalski counters with a punch. Kowalski throws Race to the opposite floor but Race grabs Kowalski by the leg and rams Kowalski’s leg into the ring post. No disqualification (roll 12, target 5). PILEDRIVER. One…two…three (roll 6, target 8). Race and Bockwinkel are never in the ring at the same time the entire match. Final pin totals: Gotch 4, Race 2, Kowalski 5, Bockwinkel 3. Time: 15:12.

Match 7: United States Title Match- Ted DiBiase (ch) w/Virgil v. Buddy Rogers DiBiase pays a fan to polish his boots before the match and draws fantastic heat. The fans are backing the Nature Boy tonight. Rogers avoids a headlock takedown and send DiBiase into the corner. DiBiase side steps Rogers’ charge and rolls up Rogers. One… kick out (roll 8, target 1). DiBiase forces Rogers to leave the ring with a figure four leglock. DiBiase comes outside and slams Rogers onto the floor. MILLION DOLLAR SLEEPER. Rogers escapes (roll 7, target 2). DiBiase with a spinning neckbreaker (ch) and knee to the gut. DiBiase with an eye rake but Rogers responds with a series of forearm smashes and an arrogant strut and slap. A pair of dropkicks sets up an atomic drop. Rogers covers. One…two…shoulder up (roll 3, target 2). Atomic drop and DiBiase rolls to the floor. Rogers comes outside and rams DiBiase’s face into the ringside table. DiBiase is tossed to the floor again but crawls back under the ropes. Rogers tries to pin using the ropes and tosses DiBiase to the floor. DiBiase rolls back under the ropes and into a jumping knee smash. Rogers struts and slaps DiBiase again. Rogers with a hip toss and then plants DiBiase with piledriver. Forearm smashes stun DiBiase allowing Rogers to strut and slap DiBiase yet again. DiBiase blocks a hip toss but Rogers reverses an Irish whip into the corner. DiBiase blocks Rogers’ tackle with a knee to the chest. DiBiase with a vertical suplex and Rogers escapes to ringside. DiBiase and Virgil team up for a beat down at ringside. Great heat. DiBiase comes off the buckles with a deathjump double hammer and tosses Rogers to the floor. Rogers rams DiBiase’s face off the ringside table. Rogers connects with a powerbomb (ch) and DiBiase rolls to the floor. DiBiase crawls back inside. FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Virgil cannot distract the referee and decides to attack Rogers with an elbow drop. No disqualification (roll 8, target 6). DiBiase covers Rogers. One…kick out (roll 10, target 3). Rogers blocks a swinging neckbreaker and tackles DiBiase in the corner. Forearms send DiBiase to the ropes and Rogers sends DiBiase across the ring but DiBiase rebounds with a flying tackle. DiBiase with running slingshot and figure four leglock. Rogers rolls to the floor but the crawls back into the ring. DiBiase tosses Rogers to the opposite side of the ring and again Rogers crawls back under the ropes. Another spinning neckbreaker forces Rogers to the floor again the fans show their displeasure at the stalling tactics of the Nature Boy.. Rogers trips up DiBiase from outside the ring and rams DiBiase’s leg off the ring pole. The bell sounds (roll 5, target 5) and Rogers is disqualified. The Nature Boy is not happy and neither are the fans. Final pin totals: DiBiase 4, Rogers 4. Time: 17:07.
Match 8: LWF Tag Team Title Match – Road Warriors v. Giant Baba & The Destoyer This is a rematch from card #2 when these two teams battled to a double disqualification in the LWF Tag Team Title tournament finals. Destroyer sends Hawk into the ropes and connects with a high knee smash. FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Hawk grabs the ropes (roll 6, target 4). Destroyer tosses Hawk to the floor and rams the Road Warrior’s head into the ringside table. Baba is in with a boot to the face and an Irish whip into the corner. Hawk catches a charging Baba with an elbow to the face and tags in Animal. Spike piledriver (+1) and Animal covers. One…kick out (roll 7, target 3). Animal tosses Baba to the floor but Baba crawls back into the ring. DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Destroyer saves Baba with an elbow to the back of Hawk’s head breaking the cover. Baba with boot to the face and Hawk tumbles to the floor. Baba climbs the buckles and falls onto Hawk at ringside. LWF, LWF! Baba tosses Hawk back into the ring (roll 8, target 3). Destroyer with a deathjump smash on Hawk’s leg followed by a bombs away knee drop. Hawk ducks a charge in the corner and backdrops Destroyer over the ropes to the floor. Destroyer crawls back into the ring against Animal. Destroyer blocks a deathjump smash with a boot to the face. FIGURE FOUR LEGLOCK. Animal grabs the ropes. (roll 6, target 5). Destroyer opts not to toss Animal to the floor and works him over with repeated forearms and a figure four leglock (ch). Intelligent sleeper hold and Destroyer whips Animal into the buckles. Destroyer misses the charge and collides with the turnbuckle. Animal covers. One…two…shoulder up (roll 3, target 2). Hawk tags in. DOOMSDAY DEVICE. Baba pulls Animal off breaking the cover. Destroyer blocks a powerbomb and Baba hot tags. NECKBREAKER DROP. Destroyer ties up Hawk. One…two…three (roll 6, target 7). Baba & Destroyer at the first LWF Tag Team Champions. Final pin totals: Animal 4, Hawk 4, Baba 4, Destroyer 4. Time: 12:40. Quick results: Ox Baker beat Virgil at 7:05 . . . Card #5: LWF @ Philadelphia, PA - Spectrum
The show opens with Nature Boy Buddy Rogers calling out Commissioner Charlie Cox. Rogers tells Commissioner that he had Ted DiBiase beat last card and only the interference of Virgil saved DiBiase’s United States Title. Rogers demands a rematch and he wants it tonight. Cox tells Rogers he had his chance and came up short. However, Cox agrees that DiBiase would not have likely won if it was not for Virgil so he agrees to give Rogers a non title match with DiBiase tonight. If Rogers beats DiBiase cleanly, the will get his rematch with the United States Champion.
Match 1: Frank Gotch v. King Kong Bundy Bundy demanded a rematch after his loss on card #3 in South Orange and Gotch was more than happy to accept the challenge. Bundy starts strong with a forearm smash at the lock up followed by a tackle in the corner and then a running tackle into Gotch coming off the ropes. Gotch blocks a powerbomb and send Bundy to the floor with an Iowa backdrop. Bundy ties up Gotch with an arm lock and connects with an elbow drop off the ropes. Cover. One…kick out (roll 6, target 1). Bundy tosses Gotch to the floor and follows him outside starting a wild brawl. No disqualifications (Gotch – roll 8, target 4, Bundy – roll 7, target 5). Gotch wins the brawl and takes the action back to the ring connecting with a spinning neckbreaker. Bundy bails and then drags Gotch to the floor and whips Gotch into the steel ring pole. No disqualification (roll 9, target 5). Gotch is busted open. Bundy crushes Gotch with a full nelson suplex and an elbow drop off ropes. Gotch blocks a punch and downs Bundy with an Iowa backdrop before moving to a crossface and arm bar. Bundy catches Gotch with a knee to the chest in the corner but Gotch reverses a punch into a crossface and arm bar. Bundy bails and Gotch follows. No disqualifications (Gotch roll 9, target 4; Bundy roll 8, target 5). Gotch tosses Bundy back into the ring and then flips him to the opposite floor. Gotch rams Bundy’s face into the steel rails by the fans busting him open. No disqualification (roll 5, target 4). Gotch with a guillotine choke and Bundy escapes by rolling to the floor. Bundy crawls back into the ring and into a GOTCH TOE HOLD. Bundy grabs the ropes (roll 10, target 7). Gotch drags Bundy to the middle of the ring and applies another GOTCH TOE HOLD. This time Bundy cannot escape and submits. Final pin totals Gotch 2, Bundy 5. Time: 11:56.
Match 2: The Sandman v. Gorgeous George w/Cherie Dupré George takes several minutes “preparing” at ringside while Dupré disinfects the ring. The fans explode for The Sandman who responds by providing a beer shower at ringside. George sends Sandman into the buckles and tackles Sandman. George downs Sandman with a Gorgeous Grip and an airplane spin. Gotch with a backdrop and another Gorgeous Grip that forces Sandman to the floor. George is still fired up and follows Sandman to the outside ramming Sandman’s face into the steel rails. Sandman is busted open and the bell sounds. George has been disqualified (roll 5, target 6). Sandman sees his own blood and battles back grabbing his Singapore Cane. Dupré and George run for the hills with Sandman in pursuit. Final pin totals: Sandman 3, George 2. Time: 2:06.

Match 3: Foreign Legion w/Nikita Breznikov v. Jimmy & Johnny Valiant It looks like Johnny Valiant ribs are still bothering him tonight and he has them taped up for protection. Huge heat for the Foreign Legion and the USA chant starts early. Sheik spits at Johnny Valiant who responds by rebounding the Sheik off the ropes into a stiff back elbow. The crowd likes it. Valiant takes Sheik to the floor but misses a falling double hammer. Volkoff is in with a double thrust but Valiant blocks a choke slam (ch) and tags out. Valiant slows the match down with a hammer lock and figure four leglock. Repeated punishes back Volkoff to the ropes and Valiant Irish whips the Russian across the ring but Volkoff connects with a shoulder tackle on the rebound. Sheik with a running slingshot in the corner followed by a vertical suplex. A sidewinder suplex sets up a Boston Crab. Great heat from ringside. Sheik backdrops Valiant and chokes him on the ropes. Johnny hot tags into the match. Sheik spits at Johnny again. Johnny charges but Sheik wraps him up in an abdominal stretch. Sheik chokes Johnny on the ropes. Sheik with another abdominal stretch and a sidewinder suplex. Johnny bails and Sheik rams Johnny’s head into the ringside table. Volkoff is in with a running stomp, choke slam (ch) and big boot to the face. Jimmy hot tags into the match. Volkoff into the ropes and Valiant connects with a clothesline. A double team clothesline (+1) downs Volkoff. Sheik tags in with a throat chop and belly to belly suplex. Valiant manages to arm drag Sheik to the mat but Sheik comes off the ropes with a shoulder tackle. Sheik with a sidewinder suplex, a tackle in the corner and kick to the stomach. Volkoff with a throat drop on the ropes, big boot to the face and another throat drop on the ropes. Sheik tags back in with a sidewinder suplex but Valiant catches Sheik with a knee to the chest in the corner. Johnny tags in with a reverse chin lock. Sheik reverses a whip into the corner and tackles Johnny. Sidewinder suplex. Volkoff is in but misses a leg drop. Johnny and Volkoff trade moves and Volkoff slows things down with a Russian Bear Hug. Johnny catches Sheik with a flying tackles rebounding off the ropes. Jimmy tags in with a poke in the eye and hammerlock. Jimmy with a head slam into post and Sheik is busted open. The crowd is back into the match at the sight of Sheik’s blood. A hammerlock keeps the Sheik on the mat but Sheik blocks a charge in the corner with a knee to the chest. Jimmy blocks Volkoff’s choke slam and rams his head into the post busting him open. Sheik is back in with a throat chop and then slows the match down with a pair of Boston Crabs. Sheik chokes Valiant on the ropes and Johnny makes the tag into the match sending Sheik into the ropes and dropping him with a clothesline. Johnny ties up Sheik in a verse chinlock squeezing the crimson from Sheik’s head. Johnny with a whip to the ropes and vicious back elbow. Valiant with a choke with the tag rope and kick to the groin. TOP ROPE ELBOW. One…two…shoulder up (roll 6, target 5). Jimmy with a deathjump clothesline (+1). Jimmy with an atomic drop. Volkoff tags in and connects with a chokeslam. A big boot to the face knocks Jimmy into Johnny’s tag. Johnny with repeated punches but Volkoff takes them and responds with a leg drop but Johnny rolls clear. It is back and forth. Head butt stops Johnny in his tracks. Back and forth again with both men missing moves. The both look exhausted. Valiant has the opportunity to tag out but chooses not to. Volkoff connects with a big hammer to the back. BACKBREAKER DROP. One…two…shoulder up (roll 7, target 6). BACKBREAKER DROP. Sheik blocks Jimmy. One…two…three (roll 7, target 7). Final pin totals: Sheik 4, Volkoff 5, Jimmy 3, Johnny 5. Time: 26:22.

Match 4: The Destroyer v. Road Warrior Animal Animal opens with an overhead bodyslam but Destroyer is able to block a blatant choke and sends Animal into the ropes for a clothesline. Destroyer tackles Animal in the corner and connects with a handstand kneedrop. Animal blocks a second kneedrop and lifts Destroyer in a blatant choke drawing some heat from ringside. Destroyer escapes a double underhook slam and connects with a dropkick. Destroyer with an intelligent sleeper hold, figure four leglock (ch) and a tackle in the corner. Destroyer keeps the attack up with repeated forearms, another figure four leglock (ch) and a handstand kneedrop. Destroyer with a running slingshot that sets up a single leg Boston Crab (+1). Handstand knee drop sets up an intelligent sleeper hold. Destroyer whips Animal into the corner and connects with a shoulder tackle. Destroyer with a handstand kneedrop but Animal blocks a second one and crushes Destroyer with a double underhook slam. Destroyer successfully slows the match down with an arm drag and hip toss. A figure four leglock (ch) forces Animal to bail to ringside. Destroyer comes outside and Irish whips Animal into the ring steps. Animal comes up hobbling. Destroyer connects with a bombs away knee drop and a pair of figure four leglocks (ch). Destroyer with an intelligent sleeper hold, figure four leglock (ch) and a pair of sensational suplexes. Animal is whipped into the corner but avoids Destroyer’s charge and Destroyer crashes to ringside. Animal press slams Destroyer back into the ring. Nice pop. POWERSLAM. One…kick out (roll 11, target 2). Animal with a boot the midsection but Destroyer counters a shoulder throw. Destroyer connects with a sensational suplex but Animal kicks Destroyer off during a figure four leglock (ch) attempt. Animal with a blatant choke, tackle in the corner and a pair double underhook slams. Animal with a shoulder throw and another double underhook slam. A flying shoulder tackles sends Destroyer to the floor. Destroyer trips up Animal from the floor and rams his leg into the ring post. Destroyer is disqualified (roll 4, target 4). The crowd hates the call. Destroyer rams Animal leg into the post a second time drawing huge heat. The referee steps in before Destroyer can do any more damage. Final pin totals: Destroyer 3, Animal 4. Time: 14:36.

Match 5: Jimmy Snuka, Bobo Brazil & Red Bastien v. Playboy Buddy Rose, Greg Valentine & Johnny Valentine The reaction for the faces is off the charts. Snuka opens with an eye gouge on Rose followed by a body slam and a vicious chop. Brazil is in with a head scissors and a pair of big hammer punches. Brazil stuns Rose with a flying dropkick and then traps Rose in a bearhug. Greg Valentine makes the defensive tag but Brazil blocks a body slam and connects with a full nelson suplex. Brazil goes to the top of the corner for a deathjump but Valentine gets a boot up to block. Johnny Valentine tags in and goes for a figure four leg lock (ch). Brazil kicks him off and tags in Bastien. Valentine blocks a spinning neckbreaker and flattens Bastien with a forearm bludgeon. Cover. One…two…kick out (roll 4, target 2). Valentine takes the fight outside the ring and rams Bastien’s face into the steel rails by the fans busting Bastien open. No disqualification (roll 8, target 5). ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. One…kickout (roll 7, target 3). ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. One…kick out (roll 8, target 4). ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. One…kick out (roll 9, target 5). The crowd is roaring. ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. Rose blocks Snuka’s pin save attempt. One…kick out (roll 11, target 6). Bastien avoids a running tackle (ch). Hot tag! Brazil and Valentine square off and exchange counters. Both men go for a clothesline and collide in the middle of the ring. The crowd is frantic. Brazil is up first but Valentine blocks a choke on the ropes. Valentine with a pair of tackles in the corner and whips Brazil into the ropes. Forearm smash drops Brazil. ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. One…kick out (roll 5, target 1). ATOMIC SKULLCRUSHER. One…kick out (roll 6, target 2). Forearm hammer and Valentine tosses Brazil to the floor. Valentine chokes out Brazil on the rails at ringside. Valentine with a deathjump smash and a forearm hammer. Valentine goes up top and leaps for another deathjump smash but Brazil rolls clear and Valentine crashes to the mat. Huge pop! Cover. One…two…kick out (roll 4, target 1). Superfly is in with a perfect deathjump cross body block. One…two…kick out (roll 4, target 2). The crowd thought it was over. Snuka takes the action to ringside and rams Valentine’s head into the ringside table. Snuka with a flying head butt. Cover. One…kick out (roll 8, target 3). Snuka tosses Valentine to the floor but Valentine blocks a falling double hammer with a punch to the stomach. Rose tags in but Snuka blocks a deathjump with a foot to the chin. Snuka tosses Rose to ringside four times and then follows him out starting a wild brawl. The referee comes out to restore order and Snuka shoves the official to the floor and is disqualified (Rose – roll 8, target 5; Snuka roll 5, target 5). The fight continues after the bell with both teams battling back to the dressing room. Final pin totals: Bastien 7, Brazil 3, Snuka 3, Rose 3, G. Valentine 4, J. Valentine 4. Time: 18:20.
