Legends Wrestling Open Episode # 3
December 22nd, 2022 - Knights of Columbus - Toronto, Ontario

Match 1
Penny Banner -versus- Tina Moretti

Notes - This was a great match to kick off the show. Both women nearly put the other away several times but couldn’t get the job done. Penny Banner eventually hit a Sunset Flip to get the win at five minutes and thirty five seconds. Excellent bout that saw great action!

Winner - Penny Banner

Match 2
Giant Baba -versus- Dutch Mantell

Notes - This match was over before it really started. Giant Baba quickly pinned Dutch Mantell in fifteen seconds. Once the bell rang to end the bout Giant Baba gave him three power slams in the middle of the ring. Dutch Mantell was seriously hurt. He managed to grab the microphone and challenged Giant Baba next card. He says that he wants Giant Baba in a best two out of three falls. Giant Baba shook his head in agreement as the show went to the next match on the card.

Match 3
Dirty White Boy -versus- Red Bastien

Notes - Another really short match on the show. Red Bastien beat Dirty White Boy with an Atomic Drop. After the bell rang a very angry Dirty White Boy tossed him to the floor and gave him three hot shots on the guard rail. Dirty White Boy then grabbed the microphone and said he wanted a rematch next show. He says that Red Bastien’s win was a fluke and it won’t happen next week here at Legends Wrestling Open! This match lasted 22 seconds.

Winner - Red Bastien

Match 4
Dynamite Kid -versus- Danny Hodge

Notes - Dynamite Kid beat Danny Hodge in two minutes and fifty four seconds. This was a great match despite being a short bout. Dynamite Kid won after hitting a Diving Headbutt. After Dynamite Kid won with a Diving Headbutt and pinned him, he grabbed a steel chair and brought it in the ring. He placed the chair on the mat and then gave him three piledrivers onto it. This brought the show to intermission where it was announced that Dynamite Kid will take on Danny Hodge next card where the loser will never wrestle for Legends Wrestling Open ever again!

Winner - Dynamite Kid

Match 5
Fit Finlay -versus- Dutch Savage

Notes - In a short but good back and forth match Fit Finlay pinned Dutch Savage. The fans seemed to really enjoy this bout after coming back from intermission. Fit Finlay then cut a promo saying he is the very best here at Legends Wrestling Open! This match ran one minute and forty four seconds. The fans didn’t take to kindly to Fit Finlay and Finlay did not care.

Winner - Fit Finlay

Match 6
New Age Outlaws -versus- Bobo Brazil and The Grappler

Notes - The New Age Outlaws completely dominated the match and took out Bobo Brazil. The Grappler didn’t get tagged in it was that one sided. The fans went crazy when The New Age Outlaws got the win over Brazil and The Grappler. This match lasted three minutes and three seconds. After the match The New Age Outlaws celebrated their victory with the ringside fans.

Match 7
Andre the Giant -versus- Jim Brunzell

Notes - This was a great match between these two. Andre couldn’t hit his Big Splash. Jim Brunzell hit a couple of high flying dropkicks but it still couldn’t put Andre the Giant away. Andre the Giant tossed him to the floor and then put him in a bear hug. He then rammed him back first into the post several times and got back into the ring and Jim Brunzell was counted out! This was a great match that lasted four minutes and thirty five seconds!

Winner - Andre the Giant by count out!

Steel Cage Match
Brutus Beefcake -versus- Mad Dog Vachon

Notes - This was a great match to end the feud between Brutus Beefcake and Mad Dog Vachon. Brutus and Mad Dog had a vicious fight inside the steel cage. Mad Dog eventually escaped the cage to win the bout at three minutes and thirty nine seconds. Brutus Beefcake was a bloody mess. He needed to be helped to the backstage area after the bout as the fans grabbed their coats and went home happy.

DK vs Hodge is a match I need to run at some point. Brazil and Grappler teaming...definitely some random stuff.

I've played DK vs. Hodge multiple times and they consistently deliver... Very cool blowoff to the Beefcake vs. Mad Dog rivalry... Nice work!

Legends Wrestling Open Episode # 4
December 29th, 2022 - Knights of Columbus - Toronto, Ontario

Match 1
The Trooper -versus- Johnny Valiant

Notes - In a pretty lame match Johnny Valiant was able to put away The Trooper. The fans were not pleased to see such an uninteresting bout. Both men got booed out of the Knights of Columbus Hall. The ring was pelted with garbage. It took a few minutes to clear the ring from the debris that the fans threw into the ring. The match went one minute and forty three seconds!

Winner - Johnny Valiant

Match 2
Dirty White Boy -versus- Red Bastien

Notes - Red Bastien pinned Dirty White Boy at three minutes and twenty four seconds. Dirty White Boy took a lot of damage and Red Bastien eventually put him away. At one point Red Bastien hit an atomic drop for a near fall. It was a decent match and nothing special.

Winner - Red Bastien

Match 3
S.D. Jones -versus- Jake Milliman

Notes - This match was over pretty much before it even started. S.D. Jones beat Jake Milliman with a Headbutt for the win. The fans didn’t know what to think of either of them and the match had no heat at all. This match went twenty eight seconds.

Winner - S.D. Jones

Match 4
Best Two out of Three Falls Match
Giant Baba -versus- Dutch Mantell

Fall 1 - Giant Baba pinned Dutch Mantell at 2:00.
Fall 2 - Giant Baba pinned Dutch Mantell at 1:30.

Notes - This was a fairly one sided bout that saw Giant Baba on offense. Dutch Mantell didn’t do very well in this bout. Giant Baba beat him in two straight falls to win the bout. Decent match but could have been a lot better if Dutch Mantell saw more offense.

Match 5
Eddie Gilbert -versus- Bob Orton

Notes - This match went fifty seven seconds. “Hot Stuff” Eddie Gilbert didn’t really stand a chance against Bob Orton and it showed. Bob Orton was too riled up and ready for a fight so he attacked Gilbert at the opening bell and took the match from there. After beating Gilbert, Orton raised his arm in the air to applause from the fans. Bob Orton then walked to the backstage area with his head held high and the victor of the bout.

Winner - Bob Orton with a Piledriver!

Match 6
The Crusher -versus- George South

Notes - This match went twenty six seconds! George South saw no offense in this match. The Crusher made short work on George South. He tossed him to the outside and then slammed him on the floor. He then tossed him in the ring and put him in the Crusher Nelson for the Submission victory! Once The Crusher was finished mopping the floor with him he made his way to the backstage area as the fans booed him!

Winner - The Crusher with a Crusher Nelson!

Match 7
Masked Superstar -versus- Fritz Von Goering

Notes - This match went four minutes. This was an excellent match that saw a lot of near falls. Masked Superstar took a lot of punishment and beat the hell out Goering. Goering returned the beating to Masked Superstar. The fans were really into this match. Fritz Von Goering pinned Masked Superstar.

Winner - Fritz Von Goering

Loser Leaves Legends Wrestling Open
Dynamite Kid -versus- Danny Hodge

Notes - This match lasted seven minutes and twenty six seconds. This was the best match on the card by far and the best match so far in Legends Wrestling Open. Both men hit several near falls on the other and nearly put the other away. The fans were into this bout the whole time. After the match Danny Hodge went to shake Dynamite Kid’s hand and Dynamite hit his hand away and spit in his face. The fans booed this heavily. He then exited the ring and flipped off the crowd. The fans were not pleased with this. Danny Hodge grabbed the microphone and said he is disappointed in Dynamite Kid and wishes this wasn’t his last match here. The show then ended with Danny Hodge celebrating his big victory with the fans. Excellent match!
