Regardless of any future Tom spinoffs I certainly hope that doesn't spell the end of Mike's Future Shock. Selfishly I think there's room for additional GWF adjacent sets without having to sacrifice anything but that's just the perspective of a fan with no inside knowledge.

I've gotta feeling that when TOM talks about spin-offs, he might be referring to enhancement sets for the prime timeline (like the 2129 bonus six-pack or 2134 Kingdom Come Uprising)... If Champions of the Galaxy is going to continue releasing content for players and promoters to enjoy, it's very important that the creative reins are shared with other contributers... Mike M has been doing an exceptional job with the CWF, imo... Just like Sam Fain and Tournament Master have done a great job building on the foundation laid by Swarm with FTR... If these brands were to fold after such a short period of time, I really don't think it paints a promising picture for the future of COTG as a whole... Maybe just my way of thinking, but there it is. |

Concur with Pariah. I read TOM 's post to entail that he's going to do spin-offs that aren't really tied to the Kronos/Future Shock/FTR sets. And, in reality, if we are getting four sets per year, this, I think could possibly explain part of the "why" behind the pause on the Reimagined sets. Only so many releases each year. Maybe Tom's set fills in one of the spots that would be occupied by FTR/Reimagined/Kronos and we only get one of the three rather than two, or three of the three. TOM and the rest of the gang at FG are the only folks that truly know. Any way you slice it, I'm excited about it! |

Or could Tom be referencing his long thought of concept for the Crimestoppers universe fed? Something similar to what Mike did w/ the CWF taking a core set of cards from the GWF timeline and adding a starter set on top of them to create a whole new fed. Maybe this is where everyone who blinked away after Black Death went to?

I'd love if all the Black Death and Future Shock guys who got dusted ended up in the Crimestoppers universe and they end up working out a deal where other supers join a pro wrestling federation instead of the city destroying fights they normally have. True cape shit.

I am expecting this set to arrive in my mailbox next Thursday. With that being the start of the NFL draft I will be all focused on that thus having to put off reading the handbook for this set. That would be my luck. Of course while I will be thinking about the book, I will be able to hold off and having something fun for the next day or so.

Or is the CPC still a thing in the GWF Universe, I always forget is that the Prime or Alpha timeline? Could Prime Colby be coming back with a Colby Elite Wrestling to challenge the #1 fed GWF and Deva? Or is Tom key on alternate federations like CWF? That's the fun in speculation, but hopefully we know what Tom is thinking this fall.

Technically, if this is all still Prime Timeline cannon, the CPC might still be around as it was part of the GWFZ Territories in 2129 when Markus A. Colby (grandson of Magnus Colby) purchased The Citadel of the Elite territory and renamed it. So I guess it is potentially still possible... |
