Hello Everyone:
Hope everyone is doing well. After playing COTG for my first few months here I decided to take the plunge and get into Legends and Indies as well. I still plan on playing COTG but I’ve put that on hold for now while I get my Legends fed going.
I decided to start off with the Color Starter Set, Expansion Sets #1,2 & 6 plus the Tragos/Thesz Hall Of Fall Set 2021 (I had to get my Olympic Hero into the game). I also picked up the Special Edition Cards for Marty Jannetty, Greg Valentine and Brutus Beefcake plus I added in my Bootleg For A Cause cards for The Hollywood Blonds, Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. I do eventually plan on adding in more sets but for now I will be running my first game year with this roster.
I will be using the same format for my LOW fed as I do for my COTG fed so I will be running monthly tournaments to determine the number one contenders for each championship. In addition to the World Title I’ve decided to institute an Intercontinental and U.S. Title too. The winner of each monthly tournament will receive a shot at the World Champion at my monthly Supercard , the runner-up a shot at the IC champ and third place will face the U.S. Champion. I use this format because for me the unpredictable nature of a tournament adds an extra layer of excitement to the game. Plus, it sets a very simple criteria for earning a championship match: You want a shot at The Champion? Survive the monthly tournament and you’ve got it. Otherwise, better luck next month.
As luck would have it after all my purchases I have exactly 64 wrestlers on my roster which is a nice round amount for my format; no qualifying matches or first round byes needed. I didn’t even plan it that way it just conveniently managed to work out.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way let’s move on to my initial tournament which will be posted below.

YEAR ONE: JANUARY- INITIAL TOURNAMENT:
Ok, here we go. All pairings were determined using a random tournament generator. You may notice that the generator matched up multiple tag team partners against each other in the first round which I found quite funny. Let’s get down to action:
First Round: Greg Valentine beat Ricky Morton Steve Austin beat Roddy Piper The Barbarian beat Randy Savage The Warlord beat Brutus Beefcake Blackjack Mulligan beat Thunderbolt Patterson by DQ Dynamite Kid beat Luke Williams Buddy Rogers beat Rob Van Dam Tommy Rogers beat Bobby Fulton John Pesek beat Bob Orton Jr. by DQ Shawn Michaels beat Marty Jannetty Gorilla Monsoon beat Brian Pillman by DQ Barry Windham beat Brad Armstrong Lou Thesz beat Hacksaw Jim Duggan Road Warrior Hawk beat Don Muraco by DQ William Muldoon beat Kurt Angle Harley Race beat George Steele Bob Backlund beat Don Curtis Tully Blanchard beat Stan Lane Hillbilly Jim beat Jimmy Valiant Robert Gibson beat Manny Fernandez by DQ Tom Prichard beat Gorgeous George Davey Boy Smith beat Bobo Brazil by DQ Koko B. Ware beat Masked Superstar Ivan Koloff beat Magnum TA Johnny Valentine beat Curt Henning Adrian Adonis beat Road Warrior Animal Jimmy Snuka beat Sam Houston by Countout Bret Hart beat Nikolai Volkoff by DQ Butch Miller beat Ted Dibiase Bobby Eaton beat Dennis Condrey by DQ Terry Gordy beat Steve Williams Bruiser Brody beat The Iron Sheik
Second Round: Steve Austin beat Greg Valentine The Warlord beat The Barbarian Dynamite Kid beat Blackjack Mulligan Tommy Rogers beat Buddy Rogers John Pesek beat Shawn Michaels by DQ Gorilla Monsoon beat Barry Windham by DQ Lou Thesz beat Road Warrior Hawk Harley Race beat William Muldoon Tully Blanchard beat Bob Backlund Robert Gibson beat Hillbilly Jim by Countout Tom Prichard beat Davey Boy Smith Koko B. Ware beat Ivan Koloff Adrian Adonis beat Johnny Valentine by DQ Bret Hart beat Jimmy Snuka Bobby Eaton beat Butch Miller Terry Gordy beat Bruiser Brody
Third Round: Steve Austin beat The Warlord Dynamite Kid beat Tommy Rogers John Pesek beat Gorilla Monsoon Lou Thesz beat Harley Race Robert Gibson beat Tully Blanchard Tom Prichard beat Koko B. Ware by DQ Adrian Adonis beat Bret Hart Terry Gordy beat Bobby Eaton
Quarterfinals: Steve Austin beat Dynamite Kid Lou Thesz beat John Pesek Robert Gibson beat Tom Prichard Terry Gordy beat Adrian Adonis
Semifinals: Lou Thesz beat Steve Austin Terry Gordy beat Robert Gibson
Third Place Match: Steve Austin beat Robert Gibson
Finals: Terry Gordy beat Lou Thesz by Countout
First Set Of Champions: World Champion: Terry Gordy Intercontinental Champion: Lou Thesz U.S. Champion: Steve Austin
There you have it: Terry Gordy is my first champion. I was surprised at how well Robert Gibson, Adrian Adonis and Tom Prichard did. A bit disappointed that Randy Savage got knocked out in the first round. The Barbarian made short work of him too as that match was over in about four or five rolls of the dice.
I was EXTREMELY disappointed at how many matches ended in DQ/Countout; I counted 15 in total. My first tag team tournament went the same way too. My Legends dice must be finicky because I haven’t had the same problem in my COTG fed or any of my Indy feds. Part of the problem may have been the fact that I’ve been using the basic rules up until now. This means that whenever a wrestler rolled “out of the ring” he would throw his opponent out. To combat this I decided to switch over to the advanced rules for my February tournament and I would usually “roll up” when landing on out of the ring. I also decided that wrestlers had to roll their rating twice in a row before being DQ’d. These steps seem to have worked as my February tournament only had 8 matches end in a DQ.
That’s all from me for now. Tag Team and Women’s Tournament results coming soon. Have a good day everyone.

YEAR ONE-JANUARY- INITIAL TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT:
Hello again fellow promoters:
Hope everyone is doing well. Here are the results of my first tag team tournament. I decided to create both a World and a U.S Tag Team Championship. The winner of this tournament will be the World Tag Team Champions and the runners-up will be the U.S. Champions. All 64 members of my roster will be participating. I figure that if everyone has a chance at the singles championships then everyone should have a shot at the tag team ones too.
The traditional tag teams are paired up with each other. Bret Hart and Randy Savage are my two all-time favourites so it seemed natural to team them together. For everyone else I tried to match up guys who teamed together for a period of time but eventually I ran out of those combinations.(I was surprised to find out that Ted Dibiase and Sam Houston teamed together for a bit) I then matched up the remaining wrestlers based on similar styles, face/heel designation and finally some teams are just completely random.
All tournament pairings were determined using a random generator. Let’s get down to action:
First Round: The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff beat The Hollywood Blonds Johnny Valentine & Thunderbolt Patterson beat The Fantastics Rock ‘N’ Roll Express beat Miracle Violence Connection Bobo Brazil & Don Curtis beat The Heavenly Bodies The British Bulldogs beat Magnum TA & Brad Armstrong Blackjack Mulligan & Masked Superstar beat The Bushwhackers Ted Dibiase & Sam Houston beat John Pesek & William Muldoon by DQ Randy Savage & Bret Hart beat Rob Van Dam & Koko B. Ware Jimmy Snuka & Bruiser Brody beat The Powers Of Pain The Road Warriors beat The Dream Team by DQ Ivan Koloff & Harley Race beat Roddy Piper & Bob Orton Jr. by DQ Adrian Adonis & Don Muraco beat The Horsemen (Tully Blanchard & Barry Windham) by DQ Lou Thesz & Bob Backlund beat Truly Perfect (Kurt Angle & Curt Henning) Gorilla Monsoon & Buddy Rogers beat The Midnight Express Manny Fernandez & Jimmy Valiant beat Hacksaw Jim Duggan & Hillbilly Jim The Rockers beat Beauty & The Beast (Gorgeous George & George Steele)
Second Round: Johnny Valentine & Thunderbolt Patterson beat The Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff Rock ‘N’ Roll Express beat Bobo Brazil & Don Curtis Blackjack Mulligan & Masked Superstar beat The British Bulldogs Randy Savage & Bret Hart beat Ted Dibiase & Sam Houston by DQ The Road Warriors beat Jimmy Snuka & Bruiser Brody by DQ Ivan Koloff & Harley Race beat Adrian Adonis & Don Muraco Lou Thesz & Bob Backlund beat Gorilla Monsoon & Buddy Rogers The Rockers beat Manny Fernandez & Jimmy Valiant
Quarterfinals: The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express beat Johnny Valentine & Thunderbolt Patterson by DQ Blackjack Mulligan & Masked Superstar beat Randy Savage & Bret Hart by DQ The Road Warriors beat Ivan Koloff & Harley Race Lou Thesz & Bob Backlund beat The Rockers
Semifinals: Blackjack Mulligan & Masked Superstar beat The Rock ‘N’ Roll Express Lou Thesz & Bob Backlund beat The Road Warriors
Finals: Lou Thesz & Bob Backlund beat Blackjack Mulligan & Masked Superstar
FIRST SET OF CHAMPIONS: World Tag Team: Lou Thesz & Bob Backlund U.S. Tag Team: Blackjack Mulligan & Masked Superstar
Thesz & Backlund are the first champions although both their semifinal and final matches were close calls. My tag team division in my COTG fed has been very wide-open and unpredictable so I’m hoping that trend carries over here as well.

YEAR ONE: JANUARY- INITIAL WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT:
Ok, time to determine my first Women’s Champion. I picked up both Legendary Ladies sets plus I added in Trish Stratus & Malia Hosaka from the CAC sets, Penny Banner from the TNT Hall of Fame set and Melina from Promoter Prime. This gives me 20 women in total. As a result of this number 12 women received a first round bye. Anyone in the game who held the Women’s Championship in the AWA, NWA or WWE was given priority for those spots. By my calculation there were 13 women who accomplished that so someone had to be left out of that group (Sorry, Malia Hosaka). Once again all pairings were determined by a random tournament generator.
First Round: Malia Hosaka beat Beverly Shade Princess Victoria beat Ida Mae Martinez Judy Martin beat Susan Green Toni Rose beat Joyce Grable
Second Round: Malia Hosaka beat Toni Rose Sherri Martel beat Fabulous Moolah Penny Banner beat Judy Martin Melina beat Leilani Kai by Countout Nora Greenwald beat Rockin’ Robin Candi Devine beat Jazz Mildred Burke beat Trish Stratus Tina Moretti beat Princess Victoria
Quarterfinals: Sherri Martel beat Malia Hosaka Penny Banner beat Melina Candi Devine beat Nora Greenwald Mildred Burke beat Tina Moretti
Semifinals: Penny Banner beat Sherri Martel Mildred Burke beat Candi Devine
Finals: Penny Banner beat Mildred Burke
FIRST WOMEN’S CHAMPION: Penny Banner
This was a fun tournament to run as most of the matches could have gone either way. I was a bit disappointed the random generator matched Martel and Moolah against each other so early on but so it goes.

YEAR ONE-JANUARY- INITIAL WOMEN’S TAG TEAM TOURNAMENT:
Alright, here we go with my last initial tournament. Apart from the Glamour Girls and Moolah & Toni Rose I couldn’t find any other prominent tag team connection between the other women so I had to improvise quite a bit with the teams. With 10 teams that meant six received a first round bye. I automatically gave two of those spots to The Glamour Girls and Moolah/ Rose. The remaining four spots were determined using the good old random generator. Let’s get down to action:
First Round: Malia Hosaka & Ida Mae Martinez beat Nora Greenwald & Beverly Shade Susan Green & Joyce Grable beat Princess Victoria & Rockin’ Robin
Quarterfinals: The Glamour Girls beat Susan Green & Joyce Grable Fabulous Moolah & Toni Rose beat Malia Hosaka & Ida Mae Martinez Trish Stratus & Melina beat Mildred Burke & Penny Banner Sherri Martel & Jazz beat Tina Moretti & Candi Devine
Semifinals: Trish Stratus & Melina beat The Glamour Girls Sherri Martel & Jazz beat Fabulous Moolah & Toni Rose
Finals: Sherri Martel & Jazz beat Trish Stratus & Melina
FIRST WOMEN’S TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS: Sherri Martel & Jazz
With that result I now have all of my initial champions determined. I’m in the process of finishing off my number one contender tournaments for February but once those are done I will run my first Night Of Champions where all the titles will be defended. This will likely be a two night event as I want to throw in a few non-title matches as well. I’ve recently picked up some more Legends sets along with a bunch of UBU bootlegs. Those wrestlers won’t be a part of my official roster until Year Two at the earliest but the undercard will give me an opportunity to use their cards.
Until next time I hope everyone has a good day.
